The people working there seem like they don't want to be at work. The only one with her A-Game on was the girl making the smoothies. She has those out in less than 5 minutes. Our food however took nearly half an hour. I almost wanted to leave since they were taking forever and the person preparing/wrapping the food was extremely slow. A turtle could've given us our food faster! read more

So the food is great. But if we could have people wear hair nets of some sort.. the guy working has psoriasis really bad and has huge flakes of skin just sitting on his hair that can easily fall off onto food. Not judging but that's not a great thing to see when you're ordering food and he's making it ... read more

Went in to get a smoothie. No one was in the front as they were all in the back. A young lady came out to take my order and then proceeded to start on the smoothies without washing her hands. She acted offended when I asked her to do so. Another lady came from the back and worked on another one of my orders. She also acted offended when I asked her to wash her hands. The 2 women gave each other looks as they made the smoothies. I thought hand washing was a part of working in the food industry. I won't be going back!!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst Tropical Smoothie I have been to on the entire East coast. I find it hard to believe that it is due to understaffing/ lack of resources. Every time I come in half the staff is chilling, eating food and on the phone. I wouldn't mind if that didn't follow me having placed an online order 20 minutes prior to find that my singular drink still wasn't ready and then it would take another 15 minutes to fulfill. Mind you, at the time it was only me and one other small group waiting on our orders. Went in today and the entire place is packed, no one has their food or drinks yet, and there is a large line. I waited for 10 minutes in line without anyone taking our orders before one of the workers snapped at someone ahead of me that she couldn't take any orders right now because they were too busy. On top of that, people kept coming in to check on their online orders they'd placed long ago and those also weren't ready. Ridiculous. I was really excited to have a Tropical Smoothie so close to me but I honestly wouldn't recommend this specific location to ANYONE. read more

Slow service. Sometimes your order is correct and sometimes it isn't. They aren't all that friendly. And sometimes the smoothie is chunky and nasty. read more

Order was taken completely incorrectly, causing my order of two smoothies to be $20. Add-ons that were not requested were on the receipt.

My daughter live this spot. She is home sick right now and requested this for lunch. She gets the Açaí Berry boost almost every time. When I order i get the one with oats, I can't remember the name right now. They are da Ailey new. I do not like that they close at 9PM. I would probably order more if they stayed open later. read more

I was very happy with my visit to tropical smoothie cafe. All the staff was attentive, friendly, professional, and kind. They went back over our large order successfully and even brought our to-go good to the table we were sitting at. The food was good. The chicken salad sandwich could have used a pinch more salt but even without it, I really enjoyed it. The bread was also super tasty. I recommend this place and would definitely go back! read more

Finally getting a chance to write a review. I've been here quite a few times since relocating here end of 2019. Gotta say, this place is by far one of the best smoothie place I've been too. Workers are so friendly, wait time is decent, and the smoothies/wraps are delicious. Each time I try a new smoothie, I say it's my favorite. I can't choose one or two, or even three. They're all so yummy. As a matter of fact, I'll be headed there again today. read more

Food is excellent BUT the customer service SUCKS!!!!!!!! The cashier stood in front of us for a minute and never even said welcome to Tropical Smoothie!!!! never asked for our order...then once we ordered he didnt put my smoothie on the ticket...I love the food but they have got to do better!!! read more

I stood in this place for 5 minutes waiting for someone to wait on me. There were 4 or 5 employees all doing nothing. Not a single one even spoke to me. I even made eye contact with one of them and asked if anyone was going to wait on me. She just kept looking at me. I will never step foot in this place again. Their food and smoothies are way over priced anyway. read more

I usually Love Tropical Smoothie but tonight when I ordered thru the app, I had a bad experience. I normally order the supergreen Caesar chicken salad but tonight it didn't have but 2 pieces of spinach and the rest was iceberg lettuce. It hardly halfway filled the bowl. There was no taste to the salad at all. Then I got the kale apple slaw and had one and half pieces of kale, hardly no sauce on it. I also ordered 2 smoothies and only one was made. I had to bring out my phone and show the employee since she did not believe that I had 2 ordered. Just really disappointed tonight read more

I came in with my boyfriend on 03/03/22 and had a terrible experience! Had a girl with long braids and nose piercing walk away from us when we were in the middle of ordering saying she couldn't hear us WHILE SHE HAD AIRPODS ON. A male came to take our order and kept saying "ok" and talking over us. We were also ignored multiple times when we asked for Ciabatta bread instead of flatbread and received a flatbread. We asked for two smoothies and received one. It's like they were in a rush to get us out and ignored all of our requests. read more

I order the bahama mama and the chicken apple slaw flat bread and it was AMAZING! Tasted fresh and light along with very filling. The smoothie was huge and I was pleasantly surprised. The customer service was fast and outstanding along with the over all restraint it had great vibes. I can't wait to come back and try new smoothies and food! read more

Stopped in here 4 times in 3 months. Each time met with Rude & inappropriate customer service. Food was blah & thrown together, person making it touched food with no gloves eeks! Drinks well they are definitely not Smoothie King. They are made with powder & water & are a waste of your daily calories. Just don't. read more

Usually, the experience here is somewhat decent. Lately, it's been falling off, so much that it's led me to this one-star review. I went in for the Chicken Capre. It comes on bread. They made it on some soggy flatbread and gave me some nasty, crusty chicken that was dry. The chip selection was two...salt and vinegar and bbq. They had three empty chip bins. You could clearly see the boxes of chips in their storage room. Then, people that serve you at the counter have nasty attitudes: no service style whatsoever. No greeting. No nothing. read more

Great place and smoothies, but inconsistent blends sometimes...and the some workers look dead every now and then lol...

They never make my food right and today I found a males beard in my wrap. The smoothies are good but not worth it anymore. I'll be going to clean eats for my smoothies now. read more

I stood there and watched the guy take a dirty blender that he had already made a smoothie with and half rinse it out then use it to make another smoothie he also was not wearing gloves and water from his hands was dripping in the smoothie my biggest concern is that people have allergies and if they make something with a dirty blender somebody could get sick or have an allergic reaction it is terrible that they dont wear gloves especially with COVID read more

Enjoyed my lunch, the atmosphere was good but the service could have been better. Had to ask for a napkins and only gave me one. I know times are tough but really? read more

First time at Tropical Smoothie, quick service for ordering and receiving smoothie, BUT the food took forever. Only one guy preparing food around 6 on a Friday night. I ordered the Acai Berry Boost, which was delish. Still currently waiting on my chicken pesto flatbread that we ordered at 6:08 and it is now 6:43 . . . Really!! read more

So I walk in and this woman in front takes the longest time to get her coupon scanned and when I finally order my drink the lady at the register doesn't say I'm sorry or anything. I ended up waiting the longest time for my smoothie to be made plus the horrible service. In the end I do love tropical smoothie and my smoothie was very good but the service not so much. read more

I couldn't tell you how excited I was that this place was moving near by. The food is top notch and the customer service is excellent. I never had to wait long and everything there is so healthy I never feel bad about ordering out. Best smoothies in NC, but I have always been a fan from the ones back in FL. Love It. read more
