Decided to venture outside of our typical smoothie treats and try something healthier. The avocolada smoothie tastes like any regular green smoothie, there was nothing super distinct about it. The chia banana boost was a really interesting smoothie choice. It tasted like frozen oatmeal blended up with flavors of horchata. It was honestly very delicious and refreshing. The açaí berry boost was also super light and refreshing, it was very enjoyable and I found myself finishing it very quickly without becoming overly full. I used to love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. My smoothies used to be made just right. I don't know why the inconsistencies with the smoothies. Sometimes they're good. Sometimes they're watered down and bad tasting. Today was my last day giving TSC a chance because my Chia Banana Boost with Strawberries was horrible. It was just watered down with a hint of strawberries. And the after taste was like a super old banana. I don't know how else to describe how bad it was. I had to voice my concern and the service was nice to make me a new one. It was better than the last one but still not how it used to taste. My kids didnt like the Mocha Madness either because it's watered down too. We all agree it used to be so good. read more

This was my first time at a Tropical Smoothie Cafe and it will probably be my last. My mom's boyfriend ordered an açaí bowl and my mother and I shared the Thai salad. They came out super fast...too fast. I could tell both had been pre made and sitting there in the fridge/freezer. The açaí bowl was frozen solid...Nutella and all. It was inedible. He asked for a fresh one that wasn't frozen and we waited. While we waited we cracked open the salad. It was all lettuce. I could have thrown something better together at the house. Barely any chicken for the size of the salad. We asked about the amount of chicken and she informed us it was a standard 3oz of chicken and basically she couldn't do anything about it. After awhile we started to wonder what was taking so long with the açaí bowl when we were the only patrons there and there were about 6 teenage employees. He went up finally and asked where it was and then there was a whole bunch of finger pointing and "I thought I told you to make-its." Very disappointing. read more

Conveniently located just 3 minutes off exit 13 in the new Kroger shopping center, this Tropical Smoothie Cafe location has been blending bold, flavorful smoothies since the beginning of 2019! From the outside, this smoothie cafe does not seem like much, however, the atmosphere INSIDE will make you feel like you are in Florida, California or Hawaii! They have several big beach vibe images hanging up on the wall; perfect for taking a picture of your smoothie or sandwich in front of as shown in my images! What I love most about this smoothie cafe is that they use real fruits, veggies and juices in their smoothies which just taste better in my opinion. I'm so mad it took me this long to try Tropical Smoothie Cafe. My family is obsessed with this place. We try to limit it to once or twice/week. Son loves the smoothies and me and my husband are big fans of their wraps and flatbreads. The app is great. Didn't care for the new Turkey Bacon Ranch tho. The taste was ok but the sandwich is so tiny for the price. I laughed when I opened it. It's so wee I think I was envisioning Schlotsky's size which is probably double of TSCs. read more

I love this TSC. The food is consistent and gives me plenty of healthy options so I don't regret eating out all the time on our travel baseball schedule. The employees who work here are always pleasant and will go out of their way to ensure I leave happy. I have been here more times than I can count and I am never disappointed. I've only ordered smoothies from here. I haven't tried the food. However, the smoothies are amazing! My favorite is the Bahama Mama $5.19. It is a mixture of strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate and coconut. It's the epitome of tropical! Just the right amount of sweetness. Service is always fast and friendly. The space is clean. I've yet to have a smoothie from TSC that I didn't love! My longtime go-to is the Avocolada, with the Island Green being a close second. The smoothies are affordable and customizable. You can change the sweetness, add proteins or any other extras to any smoothie. I almost always mobile order to avoid a long wait (lunchtime is usually pretty slammed). As for food, I've only ever tried the Thai wrap. It was pretty tasty and filling. I definitely want to try more items on their food menu! read more

Have passed by this place several times and never bothered to try it because I'm not a fan of smoothies. But my boyfriend and I were super hungry and this was the closest place around and boy were we taken by surprise! Their wraps and sandwiches are super delish and the chipotle sauce is to die for! I'm already dreaming about going back. We also ordered a couple of smoothies after our meal just to give those a shot and we didn't like those. I have only ever been to this location. I love the smoothie variation. I always order mine without sugar or artificial sweeteners if I can remember. Today I went and got two smoothies. A triple berry oat (new to me) which was great (hence the 3 stars for awesome). However. I ordered a island green detox. Which I have gotten almost every time I have been.... normally no problem. Except this time I'm finding thing pieces of white plastic in my drink. I thought it was stringy pieces from fruit at first but every time I take them out of my mouth I can't breath them with my nails and when I roll them, they don't separate. I tried to call this exact location to ask what was up with it, curious if maybe I was wrong about it being plastic or something. No answer..... It concerns me because, well, plastic. We went through the drive through, and I have to admit I come here now a decent amount, because my boyfriend is obsessed with protein smoothies. He loves Tropical the best. I even tried to get them to come make some for his party, but they can't due to social distancing. Bummer! But it can be winter, and he will crave a smoothie. I wasn't a big fan when I initially went, but maybe I just got the wrong one. He's turned me onto the Chia Banana with peanut butter and whey protein. YUM! You gotta ask to have protein put in it btw. When made right and it's not icy, it's pretty good. I love the little bits of dates in it the best. He sometimes gets their chicken chipotle flatbread sandwich, and that is also pretty darn good. So I guess I can now say I like this place. My child loves their mango smoothie too but I find it wayyyy too sugary. I also like that their ingredients are more healthy than some of their competitors. Oh, their prices are also pretty fair and their smoothies are pretty large in size. I think they have a special for early birds too so you can really catch a deal early morning. This one is kinda outta the way, but we came before we were going bowling, and it was the closest one. I will say whoever was making them that day was on! I devoured that smoothie pretty quick. Tried Tropical Smoothie Cafe for the first time the other day. I ordered the Detox Island Green... you can't go wrong with spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana and ginger, right? It was the worst smoothie I've ever had. It was flavorless, the texture was gritty, and watery. I forced myself to drink it because I spent the money then couldn't do it anymore. When I got home, I asked my husband to try it and he agreed it was watery and flavorless. So this is a different kind of review. To start- my drive through order was completely wrong, BUT I did what most people don't and I called the store. I could've been upset and jumped on here to complain, but instead I went right to the source. My point, the owner ended up answering and we discussed the matter and he said thank you so much for calling, we changed computer systems and we are still learning the bases. He refunded my order in full (which wasn't necessary) but this goes to show that communication can go a long way. They have great food and great service, so before you go complain get the details of why it happened. His customer service and transparency is why I write this review. Really tried to like this place, fresh food with a drive-thru. First time ordered for delivery 3/4 orders were messed up, give them the benefit of the doubt. Gave them a second chance. Used drive-thru second time. Got everything we ordered, BUT the paper from the chicken portioning was included in the sandwich a HUGE turnoff!! And second time I asked for no green onion in my salad that they some how included again, in addition the cilantro on my salad was black and slimy. How do you put that in a salad? Would you eat it? I've gotten delivery from this location twice now. Both times have been disappointing. The first time, I got the chicken chipotle sandwich and a green smoothie. The sandwich was 90% lettuce and only had 2 little chicken strips. The smoothie was grainy and chewy; I went home and blended the smoothie more. That was a BAD experience. Today, I ordered their Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. It's blended great - no clumps or grainy bits. But the flavor isn't Pumpkin Pie. If you just want pureed Pumpkin, then this smoothie is for you. It's supposed to have cinnamon and cloves, but the amount is too minuscule to make it Pumpkin Pie. read more

I ordered here online and paid online which was very easy! But when I picked up my order and brought it home, I was handed the wrong smoothie which I did not know at the time and the wrong order! I was very disappointed since I ordered a lean machine order which has a fat burner and the one I got was green. I wish I checked the order upon leaving which is my fault. I did receive the correct veggie hummus wrap which was to die for! Except the side I got was not what I ordered. I ordered a bag of chips and got this Slaw stuff which in fact was very good! i don't usually leave bad reviews but, today's experience was disappointing. i love tropical smoothie and have never had this experience. they were all out of pork so i got two turkey bacon ranches and a smoothie. it took 15 minutes for everything in drive thru to come out!! and the smoothie tasted very strange to me almost soapy. the sandwiches also lacked flavor tasted kind of stale/ different than usual. i don't know if they were short on people and rushing but the food was very sub par today. again , sorry to leave a bad review but i'm being completely honest and my family who ate agreed. hopefully they work this out . i wish i spent 21$ elsewhere :( read more
