I love TS! Their smoothies are my favorite. I order on the app to get points, but will not be doing that again at this location. It was not clean inside, the restrooms were dirty & stained. The restaurant was dusty. Further more, my order was placed on the app but they made it AFTER people walking in even though they were not busy. I actually like this place! Located next to a nasty Exxon gas station at an even more horrible intersection off of an exit of I-10 West, Tropical Smoothie exceeded my expectations by offering a sufficient quantity (along with a big scoop of Whey protein) at Happy Hour prices for just over $5. I actually expected to pay in the neighborhood of $8-9 (comparable to a Smoothie King or Jamba Juice), yet arrived at 4:45 PM (15 minutes prior to the end of Happy Hour). The menu is pretty large, and food (wraps, sandwiches) are offered as well. There is also vegan/vegetarian options offered as well. The interior of the store is comfortable. However if you are coming with a big group of people for the purpose of having a smoothie pow wow, be advised that seating is "somewhat" limited. There is a drive-thru option available, and I noticed that there are quite a bit of ordering down via telephone. I'm uncertain as to whether there is an online ordering option, yet I wouldn't be surprised if they have it. Customer service was good. One cashier was slightly distracted, yet the smoothie barista actually multi-tasked between drive-thru orders and walk-in traffic. Kudos to you, my barista- you made it happen. I saw a commercial for this place and looked good. I ordered 2 smoothies which were really good and 2 Thai salads. The salads came with ranch dressing instead of the Thai peanut dressing which was so disappointing. Also there was only 3 small pieces of chicken and mostly lettuce. I just had 4 teeth removed today. I had my husband stop to get me a smoothie. Which tasted amazing. But I wasn't happy we sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes. No one came to the window. NOT ONCE. Surprisingly it was pretty good. It's next door to a chevron or Exxon but not connected so you can't enter from inside the gas station store. Anyway, tiny place but decent menu and good prices for the size. I got the detox green smoothie, not sweet but it was slightly tangy and pretty good. It was a huge cup with half a turkey cranberry sandwich for a deal $7.99 or something like that. My mom got the bbq pita club and it was so yummy I ate half of hers. Lol. All 5 of my family absolutely loves Tropical Smoothie. This place though, over the last 6 months has TANKED in quality, timeliness and order accuracy. The last 4 out of 5 of my smoothies has been either ice chunks or was not made right, with ingredients in it I asked specifically not be in it. And the sides and entrees that's another whole story, bananas too ripe or not ripe enough, things on wraps and sandwiches that were asked to be excluded, or items completely out of stock. I just don't understand how the Tropical Smoothie standards can go that far astray. read more

Three stars because the service was great and the girls here are very friendly. In terms of the food, I guess you also can't really expect much from any place connected to a gas station. This is probably the closest thing to "healthy" you'll find for miles if you're driving along the Interstate. We ordered the veggie bowl and veggie wrap - my stomach kinda felt like I had ate fast food as soon as I finished eating - then again I guess this is a chain and pretty much is fast food after all. The smoothies weren't made with fresh produce and tasted very processed. About the same quality as Jamba Juice. But like I said before, if you're driving along i10 you can't be too picky and this is probably your best bet for healthy / vegetarian options. read more

I use to go almost every weekend but they started getting slower and slower, and my orders stared missing stuff I paid for, I then tried ordering online, that was a big disaster, the first time they said they didn't get the order but money was taken, the next time they just missed most the order, so we stopped dealing with them altogether. We thought we'd try one more time with Uber eats, again they didn't send half the order we paid for, so we had to stop everything and go get it after paying Uber eats to deliver it, after all this the manager had the nerve to tell us "see you should of just came and got it yourself" NEVER AGAIN, f__k them, I'll save my money and just make my own. read more

The prices are very reasonable and the smoothies are huge (def shareable)- you can't go wrong there. They also have multiple options to choose from lunch or smoothies, which is different than most smoothie shops. Food is made to order, so expect a 5 min wait to have it ready. Ordered the chia banana smoothie with peanut butter and it was the most undrinkable. After leaving the drive thru, I took drink and started coughing up a storm. There was so much cinnamon that I might as well have been taking the cinnamon challenge. It was also soupy and watery, not a smoothie at all, as well as, no chia seeds were in the drink. I have been here a few times. They have always been fast, courteous, and gave me tips on how to order drinks for my daughter and myself. My only complaint, and it's not the fault of the staff that was there today by any means, because they do hire a lot of high schoolers, 2 people called out sick. That left only 2 employees on staff and their backup was in school. The 2 employees that were there today were still wonderful, and did all that they could do to make it a pleasant experience for the customers that came in, they had an upbeat attitude even though they were running around like crazy because of the rush.
