Came in on this Monday afternoon and very happy with my smoothies and experience. By far the best Tropical Smoothie location I've been too here in East/North East of Atlanta. I've ordered the same two smoothies for the last couple months (expecting momma), Sunrise Sunset and the Chia Banana. Each location has tasted extremely different and not in a good way. I've been wanting the banana taste and even would ask to sun for more bananas and it's just was never what I was looking for. UNTIL Today! Omg. The staff was friendly, greeted on entry, clean store, clean restroom and it was a nice quick transaction. And the smoothies were *chefs kiss*. The other locations could definitely use tips from this one! Thank y'all! Signed, A happy momma read more

Quick alternative instead of Starbucks.! what I discovered is if you arrive before 8 AM they have happy hour and discounted smoothies!

I tried to download the app and use an invite code but it didn't work :( no free smoothie for me and my friend. I got a small açaí bowl with nutella. It melted kinda fast or I'm just a slow eater. It had some coconut flakes and nutella for nice texture. There was a bit of fruit but overall tasted great as a classic combo. Service felt kind of fragmented because the cashier had to keep asking the manager questions. Refreshing and healthy bowl! Plenty of free parking in the plaza. read more

I almost always order online because my order is made fresh and is waiting for me when I arrive. I've never eaten inside TS but the ambiance is very chill. The smoothie was amazing and my food was fresh and delicious. I love that they offer a pair and save because I almost always order a Dilla and smoothie. read more

Although I told myself I wouldn't return here due to my previous experience, family members asked for Smoothies so here I returned. Everything negative the first go-around has disappeared. Not sure if there's new ownership/management, yet this visit was on a positive note. Greeted upon entry. Kindly guided to the waiting spots due to the Social Distancing mandates, the numbered signage on the walls was a plus. An extremely clean store. A very friendly employee on the register. More friendly employees arm deep in making smoothies, sandwiches & such who will briefly look up & say "welcome or hello". Easy access for To Go/Pick Up orders. Glad the second time around was highly better than the first time. read more

Simple, healthy, and delicious. My usual go-to is the hummus veggie wrap. It's always flavorful and hot. I've had a few favorite smoothies that I alternate amongst, from the always available detox island green or the sunrise sunset to the seasonal mango berry cosmo. The service here is great--everybody is welcoming and very fast. It's a casual, comfortable spot. read more

One of my go-to spots for a smoothie when I'm running errands in the area. I have the app downloaded, which makes it really easy to order for pick-up. They have a couple seats at the counter to wait if your order isn't ready yet too. My only gripe with Tropical Smoothie is that they don't have a small size. The smoothie is quite large and is enough to split between two people. I can't finish the whole thing in one sitting, so I put it in my freezer and took it out to melt a bit before drinking the rest the next day... read more

Literally absolute worst location to exist. I preordered a meal prior to work. Come to pick it up and it's not there. I ask an employee and they look at me like I'm stupid. After asking 3 different employees to make my food they said I had to pay again. I asked for a refund and they refused to give me one. Long story short they wanted me to pay for my meal twice and refused to process the original refund or make the order. So I went to go work my 10 hour shift on an empty stomach with an attitude thanks to Palaak, Anna, and Eva. If those are even their real names since when I asked to speak to a manager "there's not one here or on the phone you can speak to" I left a number for the manager to call me at and never heard anything. Overall 0/10 staff 0/10 management. I can't speak on the food since after 10 mins of asking them to make my order I left empty handed but still paid for the original order... that makes sense read more

Was craving a smoothie, so I had my gf come and get one with me. We came across Tropical Smoothie Cafe, as it was the closest thing to us. This wasn't our first time here, but our second. My gf got the Jetty Punch smoothie, which is a strawberry and banana smoothie. I got the Sunrise Sunset smoothie, which was a combination of strawberries, pineapple, mango, and orange juice. Overall the smoothies were average tasting, nothing too special. You're also not able to pick your size, and it's pretty pricey as well. We paid a little over $12 for two of them. I probably wouldn't come back. read more

My Smoothie wasn't good and my jerk wrap wasn't either! Not worth my money!!! The customer service sucked and I'm just overall very unhappy with my experience! read more

I'm a fan. First, it's cheap and healthier food. I get the Thai salad which is yummy!! Love the greens and the chicken and dressing. I've eaten several of their wraps including the chicken pesto and the Cali wrap and one other one...all of them are unique with a different flavor. I've never been to the store but I get it delivered, I've only used this one location. Never tried a smoothie but I hear they are yummy too. I recommend you check this place out for a potentially healthy and cheaper meal that has a lot of flavor! Had a great experience today! Jimmy and the staff are awesome! They were polite and accommodated is even though we were "those people" walking in 5 mins before close. They were very welcoming and stayed until we were done! Healthy food! :) upgraded my review!! read more

Great Great Management!!! So great that I went out of my way to go two days in a row and the Management remembered me and my drink! I appreciate that they ID when paying with a cc. All places should. The detox smoothie is my jam! It has spinach and ginger and other goodies without extra sweetener in it. It is a serious meal that makes you just fee energized and good after you drink it. I haven't tried any of the food items, but they should really good. read more

Anytime I'm in this particular area I always order from here. I truly wish there were more locations. I love the bright colors on the wall. What I enjoy most about Tropical Smoothie is not only do they offer smoothies, they sell plenty of food products. Most times I order a smoothie and my favorite is the Bahama Mama. I do wish they offered more size options like small, medium or large. At times I want a size bigger than the kids but smaller than the normal smoothie. But whatever I don't finish, I'm for sure to save for later. read more

My go-to spot and it never disappoints me! Their smoothies are so fresh and delicious. So many options to choose from and you can't go wrong with either flavor. My girlfriend and me came here yesterday for a healthy meal after working out and what we end up with a great overall experience. We have been coming here for about a year but not until yesterday for a full meal. I originally just wanted a buffalo wrap but ending up adding Green Island Smoothie to it for $3.50 which was a great deal. Smoothies are usually $7-$8 but are discounted when you come for their Happy Hour(open to 9:30am) to coming to $3.99 and if you add a smoothie to any meal it comes out to $3.50 as I got it for. My girlfriend to a chicken wrap(no picture) and a smoothie(no picture), she was happy with both too. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a great smoothie, healthy wrap, bowl, salad and/or snack in the area. Tip: If you want your smoothie to be more healthy ask for no sugar, the smoothie are sweet enough from the sweeten from the fruits in them. read more

Tropical Cafe Smoothie is located near Newks Eatery and Sublime Donuts facing Briarcliff Road. Parking can be hard to find during the day, so I'd park in the Walgreens back lot sometimes and take the stairs. The location is colorful, clean and well maintained. Came here after a work out the other day. We were trying to decide between a Chick-Fil-A milkshake or a TSC smoothie. We went the healthier route and ended up here. I ordered a Sunset Sunrise smoothie like always and my friend ordered an Acai Berry Boost, a superfood smoothie. Both were very refreshing and filling. I haven't tried the food here, but my friend says it's pretty good. Definitely will have to try the food next time. Service was great. Our smoothies were brought out to us promptly. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for any meal of the day. Sublime Donuts next door is very tempting but TSC is the healthier choice and food/smoothies are freshly prepared every time. read more

I still really favor this store for my smoothies although their wraps and have been gaining traction with me. You can get any wrap and add a smoothie for just $3 or $3.50 more so the meal is just around $10. It's a healthy, filing meal. I will say the bowl wasn't a good deal. It's just all diced iceberg lettuce at the bottom. If they filled it with quinoa or brown rice then it would make it a good choice. Otherwise, I still enjoy the quick and friendly service. read more

This location has improved greatly. Everyone was friendly. Atmosphere was pleasantly welcoming. Staff member, Julie is knowledgeable about the several new menu options - which I haven't known were even available. The manager asked if I was enjoying my time and meal, which was thoughtful. Every customer was either greeted or thanked for their patronage, which is a good business practice. And oh, almost forgot about the food... my three cheese quesadillas were surprisingly very delicious than what I thought they would be, it was light, fresh tasting and temperature was perfect. Great job guys! read more

Such a friendly staff every visit ! I like how they enforce social distancing by having numbers against the wall for customers waiting on food/smoothies. Always clean and speedy service. Updating my rating here after going for a few years to 3.5 stars. While the smoothies are still good overall, there's been inconsistency with how it tastes each time I go, and I get the same drink every time (island green). I've tried a couple of the wraps and food items here, as well, and feel pretty neutral towards it. I don't think the specialty items on the menu are their foods, but more so the drinks. read more

Love this smoothie chain and location. This one of the few locations that use real fresh ingredients to make delicious smoothies. They have delicious flatbreads and bowls as well. Deals for meals when you combine them as well. Tips: Happy hour is before 830 am - perfect for breakfast! Most will be under $4 If not happy hour I recommend using the app to order ahead and skipping the line. Plus you get rewards! Free and easy parking They cater! I. Love. This. Place. I go there so much because (1) it's right in front of my house, (2) it's a good price [especially if you can't the txt specials, happy hour specials, or any of their specials], (3) staff is friendly and helpful, and (4) it makes me feel like i'm being healthy [this message has not been approved by the U.S. Surgeon General]. My favorite go-to drink is the Island Green. Some people may be turned off by its green color from the spinach and kale, but when you actually taste it, it's nothing like what you imagine. I think it's the flavor of the banana that really shines through to bring all the veggies and fruits together. I've tried the avocolada - if you like avocado, this is good. A little too rich for me, but it's good. A few pro-tips: 1. Sign up for their txt alerts! Great deals that pop up randomly. 2. Call in ahead for your order. It doesn't take super long for the drinks to come out, but because they make-to-order, it does take some time. Call ahead like 5-10 minutes, tell them your name, and BAM ready when you get there. 3. Check in on Yelp! 10% coupon given EVERY TIME you check in. Need a quick breakfast you can drink while driving? Check out TSC and have yourself a smooth....ie commute. Originally on my first 2 visits I was impressed with my choice in food and smoothies then last night when I went for the teriyaki chicken pita and got home to find very LITTLE chicken in the sandwich. Very disappointing and too late to go back being it WAS 8:30pm on a holiday night. Not sure why this happened other then being late and maybe not focused but seems to be the norm in most places these days with the inconsistencies of these style places. Makes me wonder if I should go back for anything other than a smoothie which both occasions were exceptional. read more

I am always trying to find new spots to eat in the area for work lunches. From the name, I wouldn't have expected this place to serve full lunch items given the name (I thought it was just smoothies from the name), but was glad that I looked into them. I am calorie counting so I did my research online since they post their nutritional information on their website. I picked out a sandwich and smoothie. Unfortunately, the sandwich that I wanted was not served at this restaurant! Apparently, the locations pick and choose what they will serve. I ended up getting another roast beef sandwich, but have no idea what the nutritional value of it was because it isn't listed on their website. The same thing happened to another patron. She ended up leaving since they didn't have what she wanted. She looked at the menu but couldn't find a good replacement. You can save calories on smoothies by opting for Splenda. Unfortunately, I was dork and was so flustered about my sandwich order that I forgot to ask them to switch to Splenda. Oh well, so much for the healthy lunch. A few things on the upside. I forgot to print my coupon at home, but they gave me the deal anyway by showing it on my phone. Thanks! The food and the smoothie were absolutely delicious. I was so surprised. That saved the lunch outing. My two other friends both also loved their food. I know we will all be back because it is so close to our office. Note: Parking is a pain in this lot. Can be tough to find a spot and tough to leave your spot because it is so busy. read more

The smoothie is over priced. The quality doesn't match. There was a good amount of smoothie left in the blender. I asked for the additional amount in a separate cup. I was told she can't as she poured it down the sink. So Tropical smoothie would rather throw away the overage rather than give to the customer that just paid $7.44 .. wow .. so disappointing. Located in the shopping plaza at the corner of North Druid Hills and Briarcliff (across from CFA). I've been here a couple of times now for lunch. Parking isn't a problem. I've had the Caribbean chicken wrap and the Caribbean jerk chicken bowl. (Chose those two b/c they are the healthiest options in those categories). I honestly can't recommend the bowl. It's not like a Chipotle bowl. This was more of a salad with some rice, beans, and chicken sprinkled in. Calling it a bowl just seems wrong. It was dry and bland and just not enjoyable at all. The wrap was much better, though the chicken had more of a buffalo flavor than a jerk flavor. I felt there could have been more chicken as well. I got the extra chicken (+$1.50) and it didn't seem like it; I'm afraid to see what the wrap is like without the extra order. I've had a couple of smoothies as part of the sandwich combo. They were good I guess. Not watery, not too thick either. Would I come back? I'm not sure...there's a Newt's, literally, right next door which I think has better sandwiches. But then again, I wouldn't be able to get the smoothie combo deal. Hmmm... read more

Food is good, good service and staff are always helpful and help in making a decision on what smoothie to get. Fast service as well.

My husband and I loved going here when we lived down the street. The service is always quick, the staff is friendly, the smoothies/food taste great, and it's so affordable!! our go-to items here are: 1. Cali Chicken Club Flatbread- Taste fresh and filling! 2. Chipotle Chicken Club Flatbread- Love the chipotle sauce they use because it's not spicy, just flavorful. 3. Mexican Street Corn- This side item is seriously the bomb! Its a bit spicy for me but I get it anyway because it's so good. 4. Sunrise Sunset Smoothie- this is a classic you can't go wrong. 5. Triple Berry Oat- This was by far my favorite smoothie! I love the blueberry, strawberry and cranberry combo and the protein added fills you up. Overall, I highly recommend coming in and ordering anything off the menu. Anything here is better than the Burger King or McDonalds down the road. read more

One of my biggest pet peeves is bad customer service. And it's weird because we're used to being greeted and engaged with at other locations. This did not happen here. Great staff, great food, good vibes. So unbelievably grateful that this store enforces a mask policy.
