My wife went in and they told her she needed 7 crowns which is where the finance person came into play. She just went to another very highly rated dentist in Wisconsin (We moved) and the dentist said everything looked good with no need for any crowns. 7 crowns was going to be over $12,000.

Unreliable and Unprofessional Service - Avoid This Salon! I recently had a disappointing experience with Stephanie, the owner of a local tanning salon, and felt compelled to share. I had an appointment scheduled for an airbrush tan on a Friday, in preparation for a family wedding on Saturday. Unfortunately, Stephanie forgot about the appointment, causing significant inconvenience. Despite offering a $10 discount on a spray tan, which I felt should have been complimentary given the inconvenience, the situation didn't improve. The tan specialist, who was both nice and professional, assisted me with a Mystic spray tan, but the equipment appeared outdated--unlike any I've encountered in over 20 years of spray tanning. Stephanie later called to apologize and offered to arrive an hour late. During the call, she explained aftercare procedures in a patronizing manner, as if I were unfamiliar with them. She had promised a "dark" tan, yet the results were disappointing and my desired tan for the special wedding day never materialized. To make amends, Stephanie offered $20 off my next airbrush tan, an offer I found insulting given the circumstances. Trust has been broken, and I see no reason to return. What an incredible experience coming to Tropic Tan! Shar was so helpful, knowledgeable, and reassuring. She explained all of their services, packages, and lotions and helped me make wise choices that would fit my needs and expectations. I did not feel pressured or like I was bothering her asking questions. She clearly had my best interests and customer satisfaction in mind. I love this place. I have been to both locations, and I feel like family even when it's been months since I have been tanning. The cleanliness is AMAZING! Pricing seems competitive, and there's always specials going on. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The lotions are pricey, but I would rather spend that money to keep my skin healthy. Anyone who says their experience was rude was not legit. Remember, they are trying to support their family by running their business. Support small business! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! My old salon had closed so I decided to give it a try based on the positive reviews I had seen. All three locations are clean and the staff is very attentive to each customer that walks through the door, even when the salon is busy and phones are ringing. Even though the beds aren't the newest, I get the best colour because the owner clearly is changing the tanning bulbs how she should be. Amazing staff, different levels of beds, welcoming, so many lotions to buy, there are sample packs too just incase you didn't like it that much so you don't have to let the big bottle go to waste. I asked the girl at the desk when my membership ended, and she told me September 19. I told her I wanted to cancel on the 19th and switch to buying the individual specials. Instead of honoring that, she canceled my membership immediately--without telling me that signing would end it that same day. If she had simply said, "If you sign now, it cancels today," I would have waited. It's common sense: why would I cut off my membership 15 days early when I was still planning to tan? I spoke with a manager, who said they talked to the owners, and I was told nothing could be done. After 7-8 years of loyalty, that response was disappointing. This situation could have been avoided with clear communication and respect for long-time customers. I have owned a business in Highland park for 30 yrs. I know how to treat my customers.
