We ordered this Injelomi Croffle, along with this Black Sesame Shaved Ice to share. Well, the Croffle was still beautifully presented (though a tad differently), and tasted delish. But to be frank, I thought it looked and tasted better on my first visit. As for the shaved ice, the Black Sesame presentation was downright ugly (must deduct a point for this!)...but luckily, this dessert tasted refreshingly good! I just felt that this should have been presented better. Despite some disappointments with the presentations, we thoroughly enjoyed both desserts. I'm sure I'll be returning in the future.

There's protein, either vanilla or chocolate, as well as glutamine, even ashwagonda. Prices are pretty on par with other smoothie bowl places. I'm not sure there's anything that made this place stand out more than other smoothie bowls but I did think it was pretty tasty and I would definitely come back.

We ordered the Fruity pebbles mini pancakes topped with ice cream & whipped cream to eat there. It comes with 24 mini pancakes and between the two of us we couldn't finish it all. We ordered the strawberry shortcake taco to take home for later because from the looks of the size we knew we wouldn't be eating it right away. We kept it in the freezer & ate it the next night and it was really good. The topping is really sweet so we broke some of that off and just enjoyed the strawberry shortcake ice cream within the waffle cone shaped taco. People were steadily coming in while we were there which was a good sign. It's labeled as an ice cream shop on here but it is way more than your average ice cream shop.

The ambiance is great, and there are plenty of things to do around the area, which makes it even better. I'd definitely recommend it! I usually order the Nutella Acai Bowl and substitute the banana for mango. The only downside is that the fruit quality can sometimes be inconsistent. Occasionally the fruit seems mushy, like it may have been sitting out for a while, or it's unripe. I've also noticed during my recent visits that the acai itself was a bit runny. Aside from that, it's still my favorite spot for an acai bowl!

Their counters were stacked with all kinds of delicious-looking treats, and I honestly had a hard time deciding what to get. I finally settled on a chai tea and a caramel croffle. What really blew me away was how different this place feels from a standard chain coffee shop. The staff genuinely made me feel welcome and cared for. Within just a few minutes my order was ready. The chai tea tasted so authentic, not like it came out of a mass-produced bottle. And the croffle? Perfect. It had that beautiful subtle essence of a flaky croissant. I was curious about their tea, but there was a winter combo at the time that caught my eye more. I got their hot chocolate, traditional beef empanada, and bulgogi BBQ empanada. It was my first time having such a flaky empanada. The dough is nice and tasted good, I like that it's baked instead of fried, which I'm more used to. Out of both the empanadas I got, I would recommend the traditional beef because of the unexpected raisins that worked pretty well with the beef filling. The bulgogi was alright. The meat itself was a bit dry but the BBQ sauce helped with that. The hot chocolate was milky and great for the cold weather. Next to ordering, there's a fridge for bottled drinks and chilled empanadas. At the time, they only had beef and bulgogi, but I think it's cool that you can bake them at home at a later time. Since Sweet Octopus and Empanada House are in the same building, they seem to share seating space and the bathroom, which is on the lower floor. Food comes out fast and makes for a nice quick bite. There's one empanada that's for vegetarians, though I'm not sure if they don't use eggs for the dough, so vegans should check on that. Sweet empanadas sound good, and if I were to come again, I'd prob get one to try.
