There's something about the South Land Title in the springtime…read more There are so many Southland Title Offices around Houston, and it makes you wonder if half the city isn't owned by Southland Title. This is just one of many, and a good little office that we've only used and visited on one occasion, but they are friendly and they were worth the time it takes to review to put them on Yelp. They own a lot of properties all over the place and should be taken seriously as a company that you really might want to work with in real estate.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures... and man, I'm paying for it now. I needed a loan to purchase a vehicle back in 2020... I'm NOWHERE near pay off the loan and I pay more than the recommended. It's an interest bearing loan. The worse financial decision I ever made was going to this organization. I mean, the worst. If you receive an offer letter from them, shred it and burn it. Run away, I mean, FAR AWAY from them. They'll entice you by saying, 'we can deposit the money in one business.' It's true but it'll take you years to pay it off... and they'll come after the co-signer if you fail to pay the loan. Two thing you can't avoid in life; death and taxes. If they could, they'll tax you even after your death.

I'm not the most bank savvy person so they're always super helpful (and patient) with all of my questions. They are a small bank, so after hours services aren't as splendorous as major banks. We have checking accounts with a different bank too to avoid that problem. I went to make a deposit today with my dog in the car and they gave her some treats! I really like a bank who's first words to you are, "Hi! How are you doing today?" It really makes us feel special.

I began trying to get the final closing amount and wiring instructions on the 24th of March. Lisa said she would do that for me. It was time sensitive since we were driving 10 hrs. to do the closing and this step was imperative to complete beforehand. Finally over 24 hrs. later, I called and they finally sent it. Lisa promised she'd email them, on the 24th. Our closing was slated for 11:00 a.m. We were doing it virtually. My husband in Ok. and me in Texas. I gave them my email, more than once, and during the closing, on the phone, she claimed she didn't have mine. We FINALLY got to close at 1:00 p.m., the 27th after several phone calls asking her what the holdup was. A couple of times we got the answering machine, not a human. Lisa's final excuse was they have approx. 250 closings per day and we'd just have to be patient! I felt like we were more than patient. Bottom line, Lisa. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. Hire help or better yet, find a different profession. My husband and I were self-employed for 40 years and had we ran our business, like you do, we would not have been in business.
