This was the worst college experience I've ever had. This college is very unorganized and great a…read morelosing student's information. You have to really be on some of the staff to do their jobs accurately. I went through a course that had four professors quit in under two weeks. All coursework that I completed was dismissed and no credit was given. The reasoning is because each time there was a new professor they would assign their own coursework having the entire class start over again. It was really frustrating because excessive homework was assigned just to be unaccounted for. I spent so much time and gave my full effort for each assignment. Another course I was enrolled in, the professor was inactive the whole time and never responded to her students. I'm assuming there was no replacement for that instructor. The only organized professional encounter I received was from my English teacher. He was extremely competent and one of the very few attributes Bates has to offer. What a stressful and disappointing short time I spent at Bates

Because of the unprofessional, unethical instructor we had. Her name is Mrs.Burnaze she would come to class with a hungover and had the unwillingness to teach us. She would sit on her phone with her legs on the chair eating while the other instructor would be stressed out having to teach all 15 students. We hardly learned anything, the program charged us for things we didn't even do in class for example bleach trays, digital charting because she choose for us not to do them. Despite not doing them she took off points from us to make it look like we did. Students and I want a refund for at least half of it. This is fraude and will not be silenced.

The had the night classes. And most of the time the classes lasted about 2-3 hours out of the 8 hours they were suppose to be, which I didn't mind. After the week of class you show up to the lot and start learning on the trucks. I will say they don't go over pre trip with you, or help you train on your inspections, you get a sheet of what the DOL examiners look for and you spend 3 days out of the 5 day week going over the sheet and memorizing it word for word all month long. You also get drive time to a certain amount on top of this and they tell you how to drive and sit in the passenger and critique you as you drive. Sometimes talk sh&$ as well. The reason I gave 3 stars is because they promised you "job placement for life" upon signing up with CDS and I have contacted them / the office multiple times and they told me call the businesses they have on their job sheet. So pretty much you go and do all the work yourself, they don't do anything for you.. Luckily my work in beverage industry got me an automatic seat in a company as a driver (No help from CDS at all), so I had the privilege of getting experience needed to drive for all the other companies. They should be taking initiative to help their new students who pay ~6600$ for a license to get their first job especially when the students literally do EVERYTHING themselves.. Study, tests, DOL tests, pre trip, In-cab, backing The only thing you CANT do is just hop in a truck and drive when you want and that's what CDS is here for to use their trucks. Most of their trucks are busted / in horrible shape, clutch sticks / shifter grinds these trucks are used by student who have never touched a manual before so the trucks take a beating, lights barely work on them.
