WA driving rules are very different since I got my license. Having your child go through a driving course to receive their license is a good thing. Being educated from a third-party is better than trying to learn from your own parents. For mental reasons, the third-party instruction is more forgiving to your child. Their prices are comparable to most, but by far, are more advanced than other courses around us. Their driving instructors are also law enforcement officers still serving or retired. I chose this school thinking the instructors would be cool, calm, and collected for our nervous new learner. This was the case on the first drive, however it definitely was not the case on the second drive. The driving instructor completely lost his cool before even leaving the parking lot and continued to do so multiple times making the situation progressively worse. We heard from another new driver to avoid Brad S. at all cost, but didn't catch it in time. In my opinion, if the instructor is instigating and escalating a hostile driving environment, using bullying tactics while in a position of authority over minors, it's time to find other employment. I called and left an angry parent message and the office called me back and was very polite and a couple days later the owner called and said he'd look into the situation and took the incident very seriously. I would give a zero star if I could! You literally can never get a hold of this place. They're happy to take your money and then tell you that you signed a contract stating you would only receive communication via email yet when I for them to produce it to they could not indicate the exact section that this is stated in. They wasted my time and money by canceling schedule drives without any notification other than email. That goes straight to your junk mail. For seven years, I drove confidently in my home country (manual car). But after moving here, I needed to apply for a new license. Opting for a nearby school for testing, I found the process of making appointments and payments very easy. During my first driving test, the examiner played a cruel trick. She instructed me to speed up, only to suddenly demand I turn right. She failed me for allegedly not stopping at a red light before the turn, even though I did stop (3sec) . There was nothing I could do but schedule another appointment. The second test was even more suspicious. A different examiner was in charge. As soon as we left the plaza, she instructed me to change to the left lane when it was safe. Despite the road being clear with no cars behind, and cars ahead are about 3 car length away, she immediately failed me for "dangerous action." I barely moved or go into the left lane , then she abruptly stepped on her brake and then instructed me to drive back to the school. Once there, she told me that, "I would never be able to pass the test in my condition", then started pushing their courses on me: ten hours of driving practice, adult courses, warm-up sessions. I had requested to check the dash cam for both test, they denied the request. It was clear now, this was a setup. Avoid 911 Driving School. They nitpick every small error and fail you for the most random reasons if you're not their student. If you don't pay for their driving courses, you won't pass--it's a money grab. read more

This company is constantly teaching students to parallel park in my driveway. I have complained directly to the instructor and he argued with me. I understand that my neighborhood is lovely for teaching, and I have no problems with that. My issue is that constantly, day after day, year after year, your instructors insist on teaching students to parallel park next to my car and blocking my driveway. This picture is from 10 minutes ago, where I caught yet another student parking in a way as to block my driveway, while I was pulling out. Not only is it illegal to block a driveway, it's goddamn annoying and inconvenient for myself and my family. Cut it out. RCW 46.61.570 Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places: (1) Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device, no person shall: (b) Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers: (i) In front of a public or private driveway or within five feet of the end of the curb radius leading thereto; In other words, you're teaching students to park illegally. read more

Follow up... I went to freedom driving school took similar driving route as 911 and passed with flying colors.. Do not go to 911 driving here as they nitpick any small error aswell as unproffesional instructors. If you don't pay for there driving courses you won't pass it's a money grab. To sum it up Freedom driving school near the pancake house has very professional people that run it and instruct and are very kind and made me feel very comfortable. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who works here. My best friend has a fear of driving. It took sometime to get her behind the vehicle. I decided to pay for driving school for her in March, and glad I did. Wesley, Jordan, and Amanda were amazing! As well as her teacher for her zooms. Wesley (her driving teacher made her feel so comfortable, and I know she had another but I don't know his name, but thank you! Her teacher online was just fantastic. Super chatty and made us laugh at times because of his awesome personality!!! If yoy get this retired cop for your kids zoom, you will enjoy! Jordan the receptionist/ and future driver instructor is so sweet and caring. She's been patient with me and has so much knowledge. And Amanda, thank you for making Jordan feel comfortable for her drive test. She was nervous. But after we drove home she told me that you were so calm, and nice. Even though she doesn't show much emotion (my friend) you made her year so much better! A million times honestly. Her biggest fear was driving. Anyone know where else i can go to take my drive test ?? 911 literally sucks . I got a 74 my first time because i missed my blinker when i was parallel parking & then my blind spots that was 2 weeks ago . TODAY i had a different instructor that was just pulling my chains yelling at me in the car on the highway (meridian) lied to her boss stating i had both of my tires on the curb when i did not i was barely an inch on the curb then said i cut my left turns as I'm taking a right turn .. yelled at me when she told me to get into the right lane when safe so i proceeded to do so & she scolded at me "i said left lane learn how to pay attention if anyone knows me I'm not a pussy & i dont cowered down but in the moment i knew i was nothing cause she failed me for her own mistake not mine .. needless to say i got a 0 .. how messed up .. you have a bad day & take it out on the people you drive with .. & I'm only posting because my friend had the same instructor on Saturday & she yelled at her cause she sign in the wrong spot .. overall RUDE . 911 Driving School - Puyallup & Graham I'm definitely going somewhere else anyone who goes here i would suggest making sure you have Amanda she's the best makes you comfortable & she's just awesome !! The way I was treated was unacceptable. My calls constantly weren't being returned and the instructor was disrespectful to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good experience with a driving school. If they want to succeed, they need to learn to treat their students better. This is the second driving school that our family went to in the last year. (I have two daughters 15 months apart). My first daughter went through Freedom Driving School and that was an absolute disaster. This daughter went through Driving school 911 and I can tell you the difference in professional integrity, customer service, genuine support, and positive regard was hands-down above the rest!!! Wouldn't recommend. Instructors are unreliable. Cancelled class without informing students. We waited one hour outside the business only to have the guy behind the desk show up an hour after the class time to inform us that the instructor cancelled the class. No apology or explanation. They told my daughter that she failed her final exam and then a week later said she passed it. Certificate wasn't mailed until one month later and only after I called inquiring as to where it was. read more

I would avoid this location. Our son took the training courses at the Puyallup office but when it was time for the Road test we were required to drive to the Graham office. I was not impressed with the service the Graham office provided. The examiner was very un-professional in the way she administered the test including yelling and physically grabbing our son while he was driving. She also failed to provide any feedback following the exam. Needless to say he was very upset and shaken afterwards. This is just because of Kevin. I had a drive with Kevin and he made me feel so degraded and left me feeling so unconfident in myself that I didn't drive for three months because I didn't believe in myself. He made feel so stupid that after my drive I went into my car and cried. No one should ever make you feel that way especially because I am learning and I make mistakes but they shouldn't be pointed out so much that I end up crying because of it. However, everyone else at 911 is very nice especially Brenden. He is the reason why I finished my drives and have confidence in my driving abilities now. I still struggle with driving confidently and I absolutely hate driving now and I'm pretty sure that's because of my experience with Kevin. Please look into Kevin and make sure he knows that his words hurt and we are all scared and nervous about driving and the last thing we need is someone yelling at us saying that we did everything wrong. This is not meant to attack Kevin I just know that I am not the only student to have an encounter like this with him. This should not continue. read more
