911 driving school teaches kids how to park blocking my driveway. It is Illegal to park in such a way that you block the driveway.
    Christina S.

This company is constantly teaching students to parallel park in my driveway. I have complained directly to the instructor and he argued with me. I understand that my neighborhood is lovely for teaching, and I have no problems with that. My issue is that constantly, day after day, year after year, your instructors insist on teaching students to parallel park next to my car and blocking my driveway. This picture is from 10 minutes ago, where I caught yet another student parking in a way as to block my driveway, while I was pulling out. Not only is it illegal to block a driveway, it's goddamn annoying and inconvenient for myself and my family. Cut it out. RCW 46.61.570 Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places: (1) Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device, no person shall: (b) Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers: (i) In front of a public or private driveway or within five feet of the end of the curb radius leading thereto; In other words, you're teaching students to park illegally.

I own a business in the city of Puyallup so we decided to choose the school because it was close. We questioned my son when he came home from his classes about how things were going and what he was learning. We were shocked to hear some of the things that happened during class. Students are not allowed to take their books home with them. They are supposed to study at the school while loud music is playing. They were told that they wouldn't get a ticket if they went over the speed limit as long as it wasn't too fast! And then we discovered that they intentionally mislead the students in their driving exam so they can flunk them and charge them for another test. Standard run-of-the-mill scam. The staff is lazy, incompetent and unfair. If I wasn't so busy running my own business I would start driving school and put them out of business. It wouldn't be hard to put them out of business. All you would have to do is teach basic driving skills and treat people normally and students would flock to this new school. Don't say you weren't warned.

We routinely asked our son how things were going at school and began to hear unusual things about how classes are conducted. We found that the students were not allowed to take their material for study home with them. I thought this was odd. In asking more about what happened in class. I found that they played loud music. While the students were attempting to study their material. The instructor told the students, believe it or not, that it was okay to go over the speed limit by 5 to 10 miles an hour because the cops wouldn't pull you over for that! During driving instruction, one of the instructors had my son pull into Jack-in-the-Box to buy some fast food and proceeded to eat it in a crude manner well, barking out directions. We wanted to pull him out at this point, but he was committed. During final driving testing. He was instructed to pull into the left lane and turn right. He did so, and they failed him for the test. It costs money to repeat the test. The second driving final that we paid for. He was ready in case this was to occur. A different instructor instructed him to all in the left lane and then turn right. Tricks like this really ticked me off. The office was very difficult with us in scheduling and drug out our final testing for several weeks because they had no drivers to finish him out. Bottom line, this was a total nightmare!

At first we didn't think we could afford it because it was considerably more than other schools in the area. Then someone told me that each month one of the schools offers a $75 discount...the discount changes from school each month. It can be difficult to hire, train, and keep the right people in place, and I've learned that instead of relying on the online scheduler, the best approach is simply to call. When I reached out directly, they showed me nothing but patience and flexibility, and worked very hard to accommodate my daughter's busy schedule. In the end, they got all of her drives scheduled, and I'm grateful for their effort. I've learned to give them grace and trust that they will do everything possible to make it work for families. My daughter also really enjoyed the instruction, and I feel like this will make her a safer driver. I would use them again in a second!

It is evident that they have been able to maintain the quality and caliber of education to the founder's high standards. Truck driving school is quite an investment of time and money and you have to make sure that its for you. You also want to do it right - it's a hell of a lot of responsibility and it is not easy. Driving a truck is a calling and a profession. I took time to research the trucking schools between the Canadian border and south to Everett. I checked out the reviews, the websites and I took the time to drive around Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish counties looking for a great truck driving school - driving around their yards and snooping around. I chose TaylorMade Truck Driving School in Burlington and I have no regrets. They are not the least costly school, but the program is very thorough and anticipates all of the costs extra. They will work with you, and they won't give up on you. This made all of the difference for me. The instruction was top notch. The instructors are all very different, but they meet and talk in the mornings and at the end of each day. Each student's learning day is graded; the score cards are used as talking points between the instructors. This communication of student progress really allows for a high level of individually tailored instruction. The best part is that the lead instructor is a natural at teaching. He really gets it and truly understands that every person learns differently; the key to success in teaching is finding out how each student learns. It certainly worked for me, an old guy who needed a late life career change. This old dog learned some new tricks and I have the folks at Taylor Made TDS to thank. They rock!

Its not rocket science and before automatic cars people drove manual cars, everywhere and learned by themselves!! because they PRACTICED!! They didnt pay people to watch them practice or ride with them to practice...Anything takes practice, so ask a friend to ride along -go to an empty lot or country road or even a cemetary (has hills) and practice!!! push in clutch start/stop/shift gears - let out clutch - go! Then, I burned the clutch trying to go uphill (more than once - resulting in a need for a new clutch) and felt extremely discouraged. I was very nervous to get behind the wheel again, thinking I may cause further damage to my car. I was referred to Stick Shift Driving Academy from a family member, and it was just what I needed. After speaking with JC at customer service about my availability, I was matched with Amber, a driving instructor in my area. Amber called me and we set up a place to meet and practice that was close and convenient for me (along a bus line). Stick Shift Driving Academy hosts many driving instructors throughout the U.S. and you are matched with one in your area based on your needs. In my case, I was very happy to learn from another woman! Amber was very patient and understanding. We used her car to practice, so I felt comfortable trying new things and was not worried about burning the clutch on my older vehicle. She also helped me understand what could have gone wrong for me to burn my clutch, and I haven't had that "burning rubber smell" since! I drove with Amber for four hours (the High Power Vehicle Package). I will say - I think the packages should really just be thought of as "how long do you want to drive for?"- I don't think the packages really relate to different "levels."- The instruction is flexible and based off of the customer's needs. In my case, I really needed to focus on hills, so that's what we did. We found an empty parking lot with some hills, and did that until I felt comfortable. Additionally, I learned downshifting, reversing, feathering (a technique new to me, and soooo helpful!), and of course shifting to 1st gear. Overall, I highly recommend Stick Shift Driving Academy and Amber. My confidence in driving my own vehicle is way up, and I'm conquering hills in the Seattle area with more ease!
