Awesome training school to be a CNA, Great Director,…read moreWonderful instructor and the whole team are very supportive, focus and study well you'll definitely pass your state exam like me Just for 1st take i passed both ( written and skills ) guess what i applied in one Prestige Company in Seattle and before they hire you there is a written test and of course i passed it because i learned a lot from Blossom CNA Training

Pros: Weekend class availability, less than $800, Instructor John!…read moreCons: Everything else. I enrolled at Blossom Nursing Assistant Training School because they offered weekend course and I work full time during the week. Every class included in something going wrong. More times than not, we were outside waiting for an instructor to come and open up. (John, one of the instructors, was the only instructor on time and ready to go at the beginning of every class and clinical - We appreciate John!!) The schedule was changed after payment of the course, which added on a Friday class which most of the students weren't able to do. We were required last minute to change our schedules to be there as it was mandatory. Clinicals were in Federal Way because Blossom students were no longer welcome at the Lakewood and Tacoma long term card facilities. We were not notified what day our CPR class would be held until it was that day and lunch time comes and the instructor said we would be staying 4 hours after class ended to get it done. Since there was no warning, dinner wasn't packed, childcare wasn't handled - it was very unorganized and rude. The owner said that the state testing would be held at our facility (Lakewood location) so my classmates and I put down a deposit to secure our spots and then the location changed. This required myself and others to come an additional weekend to familiarize ourselves with the Kent location in order to be more successful during our test. This business just needs to work out its kinks and be respectful of the students. We respected the Blossom building, materials and instructors' time, why wasn't ours kept in mind when all these changes were made?

I've attended Pierce College for 2 years and I've gotten 70 college credits. I was studying…read morePre-Nursing and was trying to get my Associates degree. I used to be a Nurse. I was a Certified Medical Assistant and a Registered Chiropractic Assistant. So I already took Biology classes and Pharmacology which consists of Chemistry at my previous college. I also worked with Doctors and real live patients. Pierce College refused to transfer my college credits from my previous college due to its accreditation. This ridiculous "oh it's nationally accredited and not regionally accredited", which is just a bunch of garbage. Nationally accredited colleges teach the same things. An example is Clover Park Technical College; their Pre- Nursing classes are the same as Pierce College and their Nursing program as well. I spoke to a representative at Clover Park Technical College and they said they would transfer my college credits from my previous college. So if I had attended Clover Park Technical College instead of Pierce College, I would've gotten my Associates degree by now. I regret I attended Pierce College. I should've went to Clover Park Technical College. The military promotes them "big time", and that's what got me caught going to Pierce College. Pierce College has a bias against Nationally accredited Colleges. How about Pierce College warn students of this before they attend? Tell us future students about how Uppity and snobbish you guys are about a previous college's accreditation so that we can avoid Pierce College. This college really deserves 0 stars, I had to put a star just to post my review.

Questions of funding would seem to be something that financial aid should have the answer to. Don't rush to that conclusion. They can't give straight answers and counselors are in the dark. Face time with financial aid is limited. They are on campus on a rotating basis. DON'T EVEN try to get them on the phone, get an email response or a timely response from a counselor. Pierce College is a clown show.

Are they on meds that need to be administered at school? Are they Neurodiverse (Dyslexic, Anxiety, ADHD, Autistic, Dyscalculia, etc.)? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this school probably isn't for you. We really loved the school when the kid was younger. But, partway through the lower school, supports and amenities suddenly got a lot more scarce! The Middle School is even worse. Were the staff at fault? Usually not. Decisions were made and the kids that needed a bit of help paid the price. There isn't a school nurse. They have remodeled some of the specialist-type classrooms to convert them into classrooms. There has been quite a bit of staff leaving in the last 5 years. There isn't a real 9:1 kid to teacher ratio in practice, they use alternative accounting practices including counting staff members like the librarian (kids see the librarian for an hour or less per week while most teachers rush back to their rooms for preparation time leaving the librarian often alone with the kids). Teacher assistants in the lower school are not necessarily full time and are often pulled from class to cover teachers and things like playground duties. The administration is actively trying to add more students per class, and more classes overall, as all administrators are prone to do. In short, while it is a beautiful school, it isn't for everyone. Try not to be dazzled and ask the hard questions. See if this is right for your family. It is an expensive question to get wrong.
