The Evening Instructor, Dave, has been instrumental in my success as a driver. He has taken me aside and helped me, and other students, every step of the way. Being able to pinpoint areas we need to work on, and how to get out of a tough situation i.e; Backing at an odd angle, being stopped on a hill with traffic directly behind the truck, how to safely downshift, etc. He also stands behind his students as an instructor. He genuinely wants everyone to succeed. Very cool, very funny, awesome guy. The Pre-Trip Instructor, Nicole, has been awesome. When you're handed the Pre-Trip paperwork to study, it can be extremely intimidating. She instantly came up with solutions on how to memorize certain areas in various ways, from simplicity such as highlighting acronyms to using phrases and sayings to help solidify parts of the vehicle in your mind. She has no issue bouncing back and forth between students to make sure everyone is progressing at an appropriate pace. Very smart, very funny, super patient. Even if these two individuals aren't around for whatever reason, there are other people you could use for help as well. I was stuck memorizing an area and the Senior Vice President of the company had no issue giving me the time, helping get an area down. The ladies in the front office are super helpful as well. This company wants to work with you, not throw you on an assembly line, so to speak. 5/5 Would always recommend to anyone interested in acquiring a commercial driver's license.

If you failed to get your CDL then the failure is on you the Student for not listening in School and not studying. I started at .23 cents per mile ( 500-600 miles a day ) for 6-7 days a week, long haul. I recently was making .55 cents per mile with 3000 miles per week. I now make 25 per hour for 60-70 hours a week with 1.5 days off at the end of week which could be 7 days long. Trucking is the only job where there is no racism and no age discrimination. He met regularly with her and a small group to prep for the tests, and one on one with her when he worked on his essays. We are very pleased with the results. He did very well on both the ACT and SAT. She was confident he would do better on the ACT, and he did. His test scores provided him lots of options for college. Her assistance with his essays was fantastic. She really helped him figure out what to write about that showed colleges who he was and what he was looking for from college. There also seem to be several other reviews here, however, only 1 seems to be visible. I hope whoever reads this finds it useful in your decision on whether or not to send your kids to this school. My wife and I come from a Catholic family and both have grown up attending Catholic schools from elementary to high school so we both understand and value what a Catholic Education provides. This is also the primary reason why we moved from Dupont to Gig Harbor-we stumbled into this town while exploring the area one weekend. We first found the church appealing but my wife started researching the school and one day decided to drive up here and visit the school with our boys (I was away on business at the time). After she told me about her experience, I went for myself. My initial thoughts was that it was a small campus but while small, I found the staff and teachers very friendly and the kids were very polite-something I hadn't seen since the last Catholic school the boys attended back in Hawaii. At that point we decided to send the boys there-we just needed to move to GH. After having the boys here for the first year at this school, I am both deeply grateful and highly impressed with the teachers and the staff. Here's why: After 2 yrs in Dupont, my eldest son moved schools 2x-due to the set up of the school district but in both of those cases, he was a B average, though he was an A average in Hawaii. The teachers here truly opened up his aperture to learn and he has taken a 180' turn and made straight A's. My youngest was an average student who had a need for tutoring during his 3rd grade year in Dupont; after his first year at St Nic's, he ended his year with a B+ average and actually remembers and is enthusiastic about learning. The teachers and staff are truly dedicated to their students and are very responsive to the parents. The principal has an open door policy to everyone and does a fantastic job in keeping the parents informed (due to COVID, she's done several Zoom calls). The parents are so warm and inviting. They have a initial new parents' picnic, about the weekend prior to the first day of school. There is also a Facebook group for all the parents that helps all of us stay current on what's going on in the school. They have a lot of events and fundraisers some of which will require parent's involvement, but, that is normal for Catholic schools as they want the parents involved in as many activities as possible. Although I could say more about Saint Nicholas, I encourage you to visit the school, meet the teachers, and judge for yourself. The small class size allows for more teacher/student interaction as well as provides opportunities for more 1-1 instruction if needed. You will not regret the level of education they provide to the students; you will cherish the relationships you will build with the parents, and hopefully, see the value and impact this school will have not only your kids but on you as well.

My other review is through my name, Madison Scott.A few weeks later, she had called me a little shit for "being squirrely in the back of the classroom." I had undiagnosed ADHD, and the person I was laughing with was not reprimanded as well.I cannot express how hateful and biased these children were, and how little the staff did to repair the situation. Not only the religious aspect, but the community aspect of the school and church. Hate and bias is a learned concept and has been taught to these children. SNCS has left me with a hole in my heart where the love of God should be. Instead, filling it with remorse and anguish. This school has taught me that the people "closest to God" are rude, sexist, and hateful, and when they see someone different from the highly curated version of what a person should be, they choose to judge and ostracize that person. While I adore two of the teachers who supported me and helped the situation, it wasn't enough. The school did not set up their students for success. Coming from a junior in high school, I look back on the students who graduated from that school with me, and realize how much this school failed to teach about spreading God's love to people and the true story of Jesus. My family is no longer welcome at Saint Nicholas Catholic School due to the rumors and issues that occurred during my time there. The school often also brought up inappropriate topics of guilt and religion that the children attending had no need to even think about until they were much older. No person should ever feel guilty or feel shameful for trying their best. That is not what this school taught.I have no respect for the school and church, and anyone who uses the Bible and God's word to justify hating and judging anyone who does not conform to the typical Catholic beliefs. God teaches us to love unconditionally, and this is not what SNCS has shown. I also have no respect for those who make sexist and racist remarks and believe this to be a joke. My time at this school and church has shaped who I am today, and I would not be the same without my attendance there. Take that as you will. My family has spent thousands of dollars on this school, and countless hours of community service. This is purely my own experience and many others have had a positive time at that school. If you are considering sending your child to this school, I would recommend asking yourself what it really means to get a good education, learn God's word, find community in the catholic church, and what you're really looking for may or may not be in the communities automatically recommended to you. Do not take what the staff say at face value, and look into what the attendees say. I am not an isolated case. Cases like mine happen so very often at that school. I have looked at the old reviews and seen some of my peers giving an honest review as well. This is a downplayed version of my experiences at the parochial school. United we stand as people connected by God, divided we fall through society and corrupt teachings.
