Sadly, it wasn't just gunk in the USB port, but it was corroded enough that it needed replacing, and the parts and labor came to about a hundred and sixty dollars. I was very satisfied with the time it took. From dropping the phone off to completely replacing the USB charger took a little under an hour and a half and then I was on my way. The new tech told me they did not use a premium screen that's your issue he in front of me unplugged the screen from universal. Plugged in his screen and it worked flawless no issue. Brought screen back to universal because they opened and they are saying warranty voided! No refund for screen that did not work on 2 attempts for them to fix! Back would fix it and the screen doesn't control facial recognition. I watched new tech. He did nothing except unplug screen from Universal and plug in his screen! No refund hence this review.

Yes it took only 30 minutes and he was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. After paying him $100 I came home and started getting these red alerts from Apple saying that the battery was not an authentic Apple battery. I called this young man and of course he lied about it and said that every time the battery is changed out that it would show that alert. Not true! I'm out $100 & right back to having to charge my phone every few hours. I spoke to my neighbor and told him about it only for him to say that he too had gone there and was ripped off by $250 !
