This is a cute little restaurant located in the heart of downtown Nashville, IN. It is shaped like an old trolley car and is located along the town's trolley route. There is a commercial lot across the street from the restaurant. There is also free street parking within a reasonable walking distance. They do not have an indoor dining area. You will find limited seating on the upper deck patio and benches by the window that you place your order though. They have a very broad menu that includes BBQ, hot dogs, nachos and sliders. They also have orange and lemon shake ups. Please be sure to check out their daily specials. The staff there was very friendly. I got the sloppy joe with some chips and a lemon shake up. My food was prepared very fast, less than 5 minutes. I at my food on the upper patio. There was no shade up there so it was very hot. I had to eat fast. I was not a fan of the shake up. It was a bunch of ice and did not have as much flavor as other shake ups that I have had. The sloppy joe was pretty good, very flavorful and tasty. We stopped to grab a bite at Trolly's on our way to go hike at Brown County State Park this past weekend. We opted for Trolly's out of all the restaurants in Nashville because it's an order at the window type deal so you can get food and eat where you please :-) (this was perfect for us since we had our doggy with us). The restaurant itself was really cute & felt homey. We got two pulled pork sandwich's that came with chips and a pickle spear, a side of coleslaw, a side of potato salad, and two drinks for $32 before tip. It wasn't super expensive, but for what we got, we felt it was a little overpriced but understandable because of the location. We did enjoy the pulled pork, however they don't do their own bbq sauce. They have a little bbq station after you get your food with a large selection of different bottled bbq brands. The coleslaw and potato salad were also good, just an extremely small portion for the price. We joked that we got a tbsp of side lol. As for accessibility/seating/parking. There are a couple benches available near the ordering area and then a larger seating area above the stand. Like I said, because of the set up you really are free to eat where you please which is super convenient. Getting to Trolly's wasn't difficult. Nashville isn't a terribly large town, very walkable, but during this time of the year the streets are extremely busy so you'll most likely have to search a bit for a parking spot. read more

I was visiting Nashville this past weekend. My bf and I got lemon/orange shake up's and it was seriously the best lemonade I've ever had. The service was also quick. One downside is that there was only one size for the drinks. We both had to get large but it would be nice if there was a way to get S, M, L. Overall it was still 10/10 :) read more

Just gross. The hot dog was barely cooked. It looked like a raw turkey dog. No color at all and barely warm. Lemon Shake Up was merely lemonade with pieces of lemon in it. Won't eat here again. Love this place! We were standing in line for seating at a nearby "nicer" sit down restaurant and couldn't resist the smell of Trollys. We got the boxed meal deal, service was fast and easy, and the seating outside was great with covid concerns and also perfect for people watching on the main strip. We got the box meals and could only eat half- took the rest back to our campsite. I will for sure be back here for food when camping or even if just driving thru the area. I was in Nashville on a Monday on my way to Brown County SP, so I was glad to see this restaurant open on the north end of town (Some shops take Mondays off). As I crossed the street, a sign with the day's special caught my eye and I decided to go with it! The Pork BBQ Meal Deal ($10.95 + tax) comes with a BBQ sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, pickle spear, a bag of chips, and a 20 oz. beverage. I walked up to the order counter and by the time they rang up my order, it was ready! They have a variety of BBQ sauces at a station where you can pick the flavor(s) that suit your tastes. The food: The BBQ sandwich is a hickory smoked pork on a standard burger bun. The pork was exceptionally juicy for BBQ. The potato salad is an American type (non-mustard) that comes in a half cup size. The beans were very sweet. The chips are individual serving small bags and are self serve from a rack across from the order window. You also get your choice of sodas or teas for the beverage in the meal deal. We came to Brown County for a weekend getaway and came into Nashville to walk around and see the town and decided to grab lunch at Trolly's. My wife got the Hickory smoked BBQ special with beans, potato salad chips and a drink. It was so good! My wife doesn't like beans, but these were so good she liked them. The bbq sandwich didn't even really need bbq sauce, but it was nice. I got the brat with sauerkraut and brown mustard and a lemon shake-up. The brat was amazing and the sauerkraut and mustard only added to it, not overpowered it. The shake up was right on point too. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. read more

Ordered a hickory smoked pork BBQ sandwich with coleslaw as a condiment. Came with a commercial made dill pickle spear, and bbq sauce and coleslaw both on the side with options of a small bag of chips to choose from a rack. The pork had a beautiful smoke ring, was not dry, and was nicely tender. The smoke was a little forward for my liking, but as far as what you typically get when you order smoked meats when dining out, I have no complaints. I'd skip the sauce that comes with the sandwich, it tasted like Kraft. The coleslaw was alright but could have used a few tricks to make it next level like shaving your cabbage rather than using fine chop, and maybe adding toasted seeds like cumin, caraway, coriander, and celery. In the condiments area there's a selection of Famous Dave's bbq sauces. I'd use those instead of the one that comes with the sandwich. Service was almost immediate at the walk up window. Staff was friendly and the location is just far enough away from the touristy trappings of Nashville for it to be relaxing. Because smoked meat can be really difficult to make and serve fresh all day, adding things like chicken or brisket can be difficult to execute well so I'm not sure I'd even recommend it. What I would recommend is making 1-2 in house bbq sauces to match the quality of smoked pork you're making. It would elevate your little spot to a real stunner! All in all, thank you for the hard work you obviously put into the pork, and the lovely little spot to sit and relax. Will be back! read more

Oh my god. How has no one written anything about this place??? The smell when you come down the hill into town on 135 is coming from this place. And it tastes even better than it smells. I love their pulled pork. They offer sliders as well as full sized sandwiches. The reason I like the sliders is because they have a station where you add your own sauce. And three sliders lets you try three sauces. And you're going to want to try at least three. They offer combos that come with a drink and potato salad, which is amazing. My only issue with it is that I don't get enough. Not to say it's an unfair portion, just that I'm a glutton. They offer things besides pulled pork but I can't begin to imagine why anyone would want something else. The other thing I like about this place is the outdoor seating. They're really just a long bench with a tray built into the railing. But it allows you to watch the crowds on the street passing by while you eat. read more

Good bang for your buck! With so many pricey options in Nashville, consider giving this one a try. It features no indoor seating, but they definitely serve up some good grub. This is the cutest little restaurant! It is a stationed trolley on the side of the road with little seating benches surrounding it and a back patio near the smoker. You can sleep that the food is going to be great here before you order! Great bbq spot! The lady was very nice and offered suggestions on the local favorites. The food is very reasonably priced. Their is not a bad thing on the menu! You can add your own bbq sauce at the station to the side to add the finishing touch to the meal!
