They put the tarp and they said that if the leak continues that they can come back to check it out and fix it. Well, the leak continued and on January 3rd, I contacted them and the owner said he could come the following morning to asses what went wrong. That morning, Sunday January 4th, he did not show up nor answer my calls. My concern was the ceiling falling again and I let him know directly that was my concern. So, I had to desperately look for another roofing company to see what can be done to stop the leak. The other roofing company arrived and then proceeded to send me photos of what Next Gen did. THEY not only put NAILS on my roof to secure the tarp but also added Henry's tar on top of the tarp. A huge mess! They applied it all like peanut butter. And, now I had to hire someone to remove their tarp, with nails and all that tar on top of the plastic. A huge mess! I am extremely disappointed. The photos that I have attached is the outcome of what Next Gen did. The other roofer I had to hire, added a thicker tarp over the work Next Gen did. The other company however, didn't add nails, they secured their heavy duty tarp with bean bags and heavy duty tape. Needless to say, the leak finally stopped. I do not like the fact that Next Gen added nails to my roof. It made things worse. I only speak of my experience because I thought he would be reliable and they were not. They also used a thin tarp that seemed more like plastic. I am aware that these tarps are temporary but for one day? The other company I had to hire to fix their work had a thicker tarp. It surely helped stop the leak. Now, I am stuck with 3 inch nails in my roof that made more holes and that will need to be properly sealed to prevent further leaks. There are around dozens of nails made in my roof by Next Gen. I have an attached a photo of how the nails look.

I would suggest you check with your insurance and make sure they have a good relationship with…read moreRestoration 1 before contracting with them. My experience was a negative in that, in my opinion, they will upcharge and then negotiate down with the insurance company. This added another level of stress for us in an already difficult situation. The initial work was good, Dean was thorough and professional, but I should have noticed something was not right because, during the demo, they wanted to rip out our tile floor (we're on a slab) but there was no evidence that water had gotten that far, Dean just said "well, your insurance will pay to replace it" but I said no because it DIDN'T NEED TO BE DONE! Once the work was done, he became a bit difficult - would not give all the info my adjustor requested, which caused a delay in our re-construction because he then needed to do an in-person inspection due to the lack of info from Dean. This put our start date out (coming up to the holidays) which ended up delaying our construction into and past Christmas. I had also asked to be copied on all correspondence with my insurance, but that didn't happen, I finally had to get firm with them and got copied on all the invoicing. Initially, we had a $5000 difference in what was billed vs. what the insurance would agree to - a third party review decided that the small amount of mold that had started to grow (we caught the leak early) did not rise to the category charges that Resto 1 was charging, so we were looking at having to pay the difference out of pocket. Ultimately, they all agreed to meet in the middle and we were left whole but it was not a good experience. So, I suggest that you monitor ALL of their activities, take lots of pictures and document what work they do (or don't do) so you have some ammunition should you run into a similar situation.

We interviewed four different companies before starting our remediation. When I had our first phone call with the owner, Ara, demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for our situation. What Ara recommended to our home reasonable, made sense and something we could easily get on board with. He is reliable, trustworthy, and a great communicator--keeping us informed at every step and always making sure our concerns were addressed. I've heard horror stories from my neighbors about remediation- cutting corners, charging way too much. Thanks to the Puro clean team, we came back to our house cleaner than it's ever been. What really stood out was Ara's focus on our goals. It never felt like we were just another job--he took the time to really listen and understand what mattered most to us and made sure the restoration was handled with those priorities in mind. For example- I had my kids' rocking chair that I really wanted to keep, and Ara came back- no questions asked- to clean it the best they could, another two times. Thanks to PuroClean, our home feels like home again, and we feel safe in it. We highly recommend them to anyone needing restoration services.
