I don't understand taxes very well, so that's why I hired Lynn. She did file my taxes but she did not meet my expectations about explaining what's going on in simple terms. In all of our communications, be it email, phone or text, she kept assuming I understand what's going on despite me repeating it to her that I don't understand taxes at all. So as a result, communication was really hard for me. I really don't know how well of a job she does taxes wise, she probably does a good job based on other reviews, but communication wise it was a bad job overall. You've got to know your audience! I would not hire again for that purpose. If you are someone who knows a little about taxes and are willing to learn, she's probably for you. If you are like me, who simply wants "please do my taxes" approach, then I would definitely not recommend. read more

Lynnette has been preparing my taxes since 2001. I always enjoyed tax season because she always took care of me. There was a time when life was in session for me and I was too ashamed to be up front and honest with her that I ended up going to another tax preparer. Long story short, I ended up owing the IRS over $50k. They garnished my bank account so I immediately called her after not speaking to her for a few years and there she was again by my side. From then on, she helped me amend my taxes all the way back from 2015 and so forth. I was afraid that I have reached the statue of limitation since it was 7 years later. Today, I received a letter from the IRS stating that not only do I no longer owe them money, but I will be getting a pretty huge refund. If I could give zero stars I would. Lynn the owner answered the phone when I called. But didn't answer it as if it was a business so I was a little confused if I was even calling the right place to begin with and then she said (after I gave pause) TRM Tax Solutions. I am an educated person and have held very respectable positions throughout my career. Lynn spoke to me in the most condescending tone and treated me like a child. I thought it was a joke at first but she proceeded to speak extremely slowly and kept repeating my first name as if I needed to pay close attention. Then when she noticed I had submitted an inquiry through yelp to get some other opinions, she finally decided to get back to me in a text. She wrote in the text. We already spoke today (Almost as if she was annoyed that I was reaching out to other professionals) In her text she said "sorry I got caught up with clients.) If I was to be a new client this already was a major turn off. I do not recommend using her unless you enjoy being berated. read more
