Prior to her, we worked with 2 others who did not suit our needs. Janie reconciles our accounts at the end of each month. I also asked Janie to start running payroll for us on ADP. Janie is great at collaborating with my employees. They often email her with questions, or ask her to amend or delete an invoice. She also sends us the necessary financial statements at the end of each month, and the 1099 amounts for our contractors to our tax accountant during tax season. She is very responsive to our requests and concerns. She usually responds within a few hours. Janie has a pleasant personality, she is very responsive, she is patient with my employees when they make mistakes entering client payments into Xero (sometimes they will enter payments into the wrong account and she re-enters them for us, which isn't within her scope of duties), and she always tries to help with any requests that we may have. If I do not pay, I refuse to pay since there were no services provided and now he decided to file a claim in small claims court, but is only suing me for $6000 I offered to reimburse him for a QuickBooks subscription that he had on my behalf but he did not accept and is asking me to pay him over $500 per month for reconciliation services on a bank account that has zero transactions monthly. Please avoid this CPA at all cost. There are much better options in the Bay Area.

I was able to find areas like I know that I paid $80k in workers comp and the P&L only showed $20K. But that was the extent of where I could help when they were off and they always assured me everything was CORRECT. I paid both workers comp premiums on their assurances as well as my yearly taxes. I finally gave up and terminated services and found another bookkeeper and boy, have they found significant errors such as payroll wages being under reported, W3's not matching. Wages for out of state workers not being reported and members of Cal Savers stuck in limbo and not receiving their funds. I have tried to personally reach out to both the owner and my bookkeeper but both have not taken the matter seriously. I am up to about $10,000.00 so far in reconcile and need to amend returns and pay for those also. Please, please, steer clear from this company. They are deceitful, incompetent and lack common courtesy when you have an issue. Now to find out even worse that they will cost you so much in the long run. I am writing this to hopefully help others when believing and trusting in firms to keep your books straight. A lot can go very wrong. Choose wisely.

I do want to say, however, that the level of customer service I received I thought was extremely poor. Not only did I not receive an update on an eta that I had requested, but not one person from your firm even attempted to follow up with me when there was no return of information. Since my communications with Laura have all had quick turnarounds, I would have thought that my non-response would have been an indicator that I didn't receive the request for info. If I hadn't once again called to get a status report, I don't believe there would have been resolve anytime soon. Taxes are an already stressful situation, but this experience really did make it worse.
