He was a great help, answering all of our questions promptly and taking us through the complex process. Since then, I've relied on his help to file my personal taxes. I appreciate being able to work with a trusted sole practitioner who knows my tax history and background, and look forward to continuing to work with him. Highly recommend David for business owners looking for a great CPA.

On December 31, 2021, I emailed David Kirst, CPA (hereinafter referred to as "David") to find out…read morehow much money he would monetarily charge me to do my 2021 United States Individual Income Tax Return, my 2021 California Resident Income Tax Return, and my 2021 Corporate Tax Return (for both the federal government, and the State of California). A few days later, in January 2022, David replied to me via electronic mail (email) to inform me about his monetary price quotes for doing my 2021 United States Individual Income Tax Return, my 2021 California Resident Income Tax Return, and my 2021 Corporate Tax Return (for both the federal government, and the State of California). Ultimately, at some point in February 2022, I decided to hire David to do my 2021 United States Individual Income Tax Return, my 2021 California Resident Income Tax Return, and my 2021 Corporate Tax Return (for both the federal government, and the State of California). As a result of this decision, I informed David via electronic mail (email) about my decision. I made this decision because of my ability to monetarily afford David's tax preparation services, tax advice services, tax consulting services, etc. From my perspective, the way that David "verified" me to ensure that I was actually the individual requesting David's tax preparation services was really weird (which was something that perplexed me, something that was really strange to me, something that rubbed me the wrong way, etc.). I explained to David that just because I have personal (home) contact information that is different than my business contact information does not somehow make me suspicious. David and I (we) were able to get over this "hiccup" quickly so that we could advance into entering a professional business relationship. After David and I (we) entered our professional business relationship for David to do my to do my 2021 United States Individual Income Tax Return, my 2021 California Resident Income Tax Return, my 2021 United States Income Tax Return For S Corporation, and my California S Corporation Franchise or Income Tax Return, David and I (we) had a good to great professional business relationship. David educated me about a lot of stuff that I did not know about. David informed me about a lot of stuff that I did not know about. David is a Certified Public Accountant that is very detailed, very thorough, very experienced, etc. David is an excellent Certified Public Accountant. David is very knowledgeable. He is "top of the line" in his profession (in my opinion as being his first-time client). David and I predominantly communicated via electronic mail (email), which was great for me because my primary method of communication is electronic mail (email), and my preferred method of communication is electronic mail (email). However, when David and I (we) needed to talk on the telephone, David and I (we) found a way to talk on the telephone when necessary, even when I did not believe that it was necessary, even when I did not have time because I am always swamped/slammed/busy daily (everyday), even when I did not like it (which I did not on one (1) occasion). David and I were able to successfully work together, collaborate together, etc. so that ultimately my 2021 United States Individual Income Tax Return, my 2021 California Resident Income Tax Return, my 2021 United States Income Tax Return For S Corporation, and my California S Corporation Franchise or Income Tax Return, we are drafted on time, prepared on time, finalized on time, submitted on time for filing, etc. I have so much more knowledge and information now because of David than I ever did before with any other tax preparer (Certified Public Accountant or not) that I have ever hired regarding my tax return(s) preparation. As a result, I do thank David for that. David is very insightful. Regarding taxes, I learned a lot from David. I feel more sharpened now because of David as opposed to before I encountered David. As a result, hence, this five (5) star review, and I would suggest, advise, and recommend David if anyone in the State of California is looking to have his or her or its tax returns done, is looking to receive tax consulting (tax advice), etc., David is certainly a Certified Public Accountant that is at the top of the list. Thank you, David Kirst, CPA. I appreciate it very much. I wish you the best and success as a Certified Public Accountant presently and moving forward.

I was already 6 days behind completing them. Melissa -the daughter of the owner- knows how to swindle you especially when you are desperate for help. I was told when I came in to pay $350 up front which they never told me that was just a deposit. To my knowledge it was to perform the work. All the work. And she also had said she could do it in a few days (3). Ok so I paid and I put my credit card down for them to keep. Big mistake. Never leave your card for a vendor to keep! After the 4th day I was wondering what was the hold up. They needed two more ein that Melissa never emailed on. I had to reach out and she finally responded after a day. Then she preceded to tell me since she just gotten the new ein number it would take another 5 business days! After two weeks I was asking when they will be done. I know they were slammed and trying to buy time or charge me for that time. I was right when they finally called that they were ready after 2.5 weeks they said my invoice was $1900!! They processed twenty-eight 1099s for me. I was flabbergasted. I said to the front lady Patty which I am sure she is use to swindling people for the Chan's that I was not told it would be more. She said oh yes sweetie we charge by the hour. When the invoice finally came in there were no hours listed!! It was just a straight preparing and rechecking etc all for $1900. I said I'm not paying. I ended up doing my own 1099 through a phone call with Intuit. How long did it take me less than 2 hours! And I'm a novice with QuickBooks. If I can figure it out anyone can. The only advice I can give is to do your due diligence on this firm! This mother daughter team is a modern day Bonnie and Clyde! **Update** see forms below. A picture is worth a thousand words! This is way overdue because I've just been busy. Save…read moreyourself for the disappointment and ultimately the bad service and money he'll charge you for it. Paul Federick Soto does not keep his word. I really feel like I was scammed-- didn't give me the service I was told and over paid for. The guys office is bear and looked very unprofessional/questionable? That's the overall feeling I got, should have gone with my instincts. Unfortunately, I trusted another business owner that had great reviews and referred me to this guy but turns out, they maybe just know each other. I will let her know what a scam Paul Federick Soto is. From the simplest thing, I caught him red handed lying to me that he does everything digitally and no hard copy. Says he was going to upload everything after I leave his office. He thought I was already gone but I was still waiting for my ride downstairs, surprised! Should have seen the look on his face. Then said he was coming back to do it. And guess what, till the very end, never uploaded. Came to him for audit help/questions. For an accountant, he's very scattered brain and unorganized. You would think someone who claims to have so much experience and knowledge would have simple excel sheets set up as a templates that can easily be modified anywhere from 3, 5, 10 years and so on. Nope, VERY limited knowledge and inefficient from what I personally witnessed and experienced. Took him 3 days to correct, redo, change the spreadsheets and I even joked that I was auditing the accountant. Meanwhile, I'm being charged for him having to correct his own mistakes because again, he's was so unorganized-- RED FLAG! It turns out, I wasn't joking, he was making those mistakes and I knew I made a mistake coming to Paul Federick Soto accounting services. One of the Biggest mistake I've made ever. I'm writing this so at least others will not make the same mistake I did. Yep, don't be scammed like me and waste your money for bad and unethical service. Asked him what happened to the uploaded soft copies of my docs, said he never did it, whaaat? After all his claims of everything being digital? I can't believed I was lied to my face and you could see the embarrassment on his face. Find someone you can better trust with a better reputation and experience. His friend will now know NOT to refer anyone else to avoid giving a bad name for herself, that's my hope. It's sad that people are that unethical and untrustworthy when you need them most. I know, that's why he took advantage of people like me. Just hope you're not the next victim.
