Andrea S.

I had an appointment for 6 p.m. and I arrived 15 minutes early just to I could pick a color (I take ages to decide). The staff were busy and I welcomed and expecting to patiently wait for 15-20 minutes. To my surprise, they sat me down in 5 minutes and started me soaking in acetone. Again, I was prepared to wait. Now 1 hour later, I am sitting in the chair, post-soak, waiting to have someone come continue with my nails. I should leave but don't want to be rude because maybe this is to be expected and I am over critical. However, for 45 minutes, they have had me soaking my nails in acetone. I kept lifting them out every few minutes then after 30 minutes, I chose to take them out because I was starting to get light headed from the smell and in my moderate experience with dip manicures, I have never soaked for more than 15-20 minutes. That is some powerful stuff and dont love the idea of what soaking my hands in that is doing to my skin. Maybe the practice has changed? The stylist came over and asked why I took them out and I said that I needed a break from the smell. She disapproved and asked me to put my nails back into the solution and gave me a cotton ball to wipe the remaining dip polish off. Again, not sure if this is now common practice and covid has made me a novice, but I have never had to wipe my own nail polish off. Now, having wiped all my nail polish off, I am sitting on my phone, 60 minutes from my appointment with these nails (see photo) and I am debating whether or not to leave. I think I may. Bummer, but I want my beach nails! Update: the stylist was meticulous! She put great attention into every step. I will most likely try again because the timing could be a singular outlier and covid impact, hopefully so because they do good work.

This was my first time at Trix and Spa. I enjoyed every bit. She helped me pick a color that looked good on my skin tone and did my nails exactly how I wanted them! Shout out to Evelyn. I will be back

My niece sitting idle for over half hour till the woman in the left front finished juggling customers.

The worst place you can come to. They over book themselves. This woman started our nails and kept juggling so many other customers. Her husband keeps going in and out of the store so they make sure you don't leave till their darn half work is not done till hours later. Disgusting place.

Had an awesome first visit to Trix today. Staff were nice but didn't try to engage me in useless small talk. I just kind of like to zone out when I get my manicures so they respected that. My nails look awesome and the price point is amazing. You really can't beat a $28 gel manicure in this area. I don't think I had ever paid that little for this service before; I was a little taken aback when she rung me up! All in all I was very pleased and I will definitely be back soon.

I got this set yesterday & I am absolutely in love. This was my first time at this salon, and I am so impressed. She really took her time on my nails & made them perfect! 10/10 recommend!

Pretty new color change.

The place was a little messy, but it seemed like they had just started rearranging things. The chair was comfortable, water hot, and the lady helping me was really nice. Overall, my pedicure was a great experience. They took their time because they were slow, which made the experience even better. The paint job was also really good. The price was reasonable as well, especially for how long they spent. I will definitely stop back in.

I was greeted right away and the tech was available within a few minutes. The front was very clean and tidy. Things went downhill after that. The work station of the tech who did my nails was filthy - covered with dusty and crust. The longer I sat there, the more I saw and the more frustrated I felt. Tools like nippers for cuticles seemed to have been used on other customers with old cuticle on them. I'm so embarrassed that I didn't get up and leave. The tech used an efile to tear up my nail beds and then buffed them out anyway. This seemed to be a substitute for actually cleaning the old regular nail polish off. The nail polish application was sloppy with the tech applying way too much for each layer. No base coat was used, so my nail beds will be stained now. This tech applied the polish like it's gel and not like it's ordinary nail polish that needs to air dry. It's got bubbles and streaks and is cracking where the top doesn't quite cover the color. Especially strange was that I was asked to pay and tip before my service was finished. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend.

The music was kind of a KPop Demon Hunters, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor mix. The lighting is pleasant and the space itself is just SO BIG. The size of the location and the big windows and high ceilings meant that it didn't smell at all and felt very glamorous. I went with two other people for the standard pedicure. They have alcoves of chairs and can probably do 20+ pedis at a time if they have enough staff because it's so big. Each alcove has 3 chairs facing 3 chairs and so my group had no issue chatting between ourselves. If it was a bday party or bridal shower with 6 people, I think the alcove would give it a cozy vibe of togetherness. The space was super clean, chairs looked new, bathroom was tidy and well appointed, and the place just kind of screamed luxe. The service itself was ALSO luxe so the prices seemed totally reasonable to me. Very professional staff and you can schedule to see particular people if you become a loyal customer (I probably would if 1) I lived her and 2) I didn't like doing my own nails). They absolutely delivered on what I wanted, which was to get some excellent foot care in the winter and spend some quality time getting pampered. Great value for the $$!
