These guys are super stars!…read more A friend of mine was getting married and for every wedding that she has gone to she had a handkerchief embroidered with the bride's new initials--so, naturally, I wanted to do the same for her. I found the perfect handkerchief and all I needed was to find a place to get it done. I called around town and was told that because of the delicate fabric it would nearly be impossible to get done short of finding a little old lady that could hand sew. I mean, that is literally what one person told me. After panicking a bit (Where does my friend get it done? Who knows? I couldn't have asked though without stirring up her suspicion.) some kind person directed me here. Praise the Lamb, because they had me bring in the handkerchief to take a look at it and even though they had all the industrial machines in the back (I got a grand tour because I needed to pick out the perfect string colors--I didn't take pictures... because, well, it would have been odd. But believe me, they have half a million color options and the wall the colors are hung on is beautiful to look at) my handkerchief was done with care somewhere else. The staff were so very friendly. They treated me like an old friend and we were on the hunt for the perfect color combination for the embroidery. I really appreciated the time that they took and the kindness they showed my frazzled brain. My experience was with a small order and it was amazing the detail, I can only imagine how great of a job they do on larger products and orders.

I called back and told them of my experience and the lady I spoke to that day (Sharon) said she would have Frank call me back. He called and left a message for me to call back, I called back and again the lady that answered tried to refuse for me to talk to him. Finally, they put me through. Frank and I talked, great guy, very willing to help... he and I agreed I would bring my part in for him to see if he could fix it. I brought the part in and again, the lady (the manager) was being difficult that they had to have my machine etc. I told her the agreement Frank and I made (that he would try to fix that particular part and if he could I would then bring in my machine to be serviced). Then the manager told me I would have to pay a $30 deposit. Now why am I paying a deposit when they have my part... of course, I can't get the part back without paying for it. Needless to say I told her I was done with their company and would never use them again. Nothing but a manager and some staff impossible to deal with (rude etc) and asking for deposit when I clearly cannot walk out without paying once repair of part was made. The only two people I spoke to at that company that knew how to deal with customers was Sharon and Frank.

They do screen printing the old fashion way, by hand. And I am so glad they do. I have a t-shirt they did and it has seen the washing machine a number of times yet hasn't even begun to fade. Their posters and the other ideas (like August-focused shirts) are eye catching and creativity. A couple of years ago I was working on a idea and they came up with the design for it. I loved it! Around the same time I also ordered business cards from them. Perfection. My latest venture was turning my wife's favorite Brene Brown quote into a poster. She was thrilled. Not to mention the team here is helpful, patient, and will do anything to make sure you are more than satisfied with the finished product. *Insider's Tip -If you've seen any event poster from Book Tavern, you have seen their work. And better yet, that means you can order the print even after an event has passed. -They do live screen printing at events, especially downtown. One such event is Arts in the Heart (in September) when they have a contest for free t-shirts. That's a win for everyone.

I thought I'd have to go in explaining the types of shirts and quality etc, which I did, but only after they asked. That let me know they knew what they were doing. LeAnne and Jeremiah both helped me with finding the exact shirts I wanted. I was looking for easy fit tees for women and a certain type of printing application. They knocked both out of the park. Mod Ink offers more modern style options, which is what drew me to them. They can order and customize your traditional fit tees as well. If you personally or your organization/company needs tees! Go see them. They'll get the job done.
