Ace indeed is the place. Is it more expensive than the big box hardware stores like Lowe's and the…read moremostly terrible Home Depot? Yes, it is-- BUT you get incredible customer service. I doubt anyone at the aforementioned big box stores are literally waiting on you at the door and direct you right to where you need to go. Ace employees here will also help give you advice on how to do your DIY project or repair. That's something that most of the chumps at the big boxes can't do-- even if you can find one to help you at all. Also something that I find delightful, is that every Ace Hardware location is different and unique. There's always some strange thing that you wouldn't find at your regular hardware store. This Ace has all kinds of local sports team merchandise (i.e., UCA Bears and Razorback stuff), specialty bottled sodas, and other novelty items. They also keep new old store stock too which big box retailers don't do. Need a glass top for that old coffee percolator? Need a specific stopper for an aging toilet (I did!) and no one else in town had it? Ace is the place. A lot of the Ace branded products are made in the USA too. Love this place and the family running it does a great job. And if they don't have it, they'll usually direct you to somewhere that does. In short: Ace is my place!

At best, an employee was able to confidently tell me they didnt have my item in stock. At worst,…read morethe employees regularly don't know if an item exists, let alone if or where it is in the store. I was told that I would have to make a common appliance, a specific type of ac to dc convertor, out of parts that they also didn't have in the store. It was weird as I rarely enter stores, with the intent to make purchases, and then proceed to be thwarted effortlessly by the store itself. So I went to O'Reilly's\Autozone, where common business practices have at least been suggested to the employees. Got item for less than 10 bucks with fancier options avaliablefor 30+. This Ace should stop DEI hiring the elderly conservatives from next door. It's costing them sales. Autozone gets 4\5 stars for obvious reasons. O'Reilly's 4.5\5 stars for association and the catchy jingle.

I couldn't even name the tool I needed for my drill to restore a beautiful flea-market bowl, but he stayed with me, listened to my project, and helped me find exactly what I needed. I'm so grateful for the 15 minutes he spent guiding me through. Then, in the paint department, another gentleman was just as fantastic--he quickly got me the paint samples I needed in no time. Thanks to them, I was on my way home to craft and restore my bowl! I truly appreciate their attentive, knowledgeable service. Five stars for making my hobby projects a success!

1 Star -- At This Point, It Should Be Spelled "BLOWE'S"…read more My husband and I walked into the Conway Lowe's at around 8:00 in the morning ready to buy a washer and dryer. We have always been big Lowe's fans -- or at least we USED to be. The experience started off strangely before we even made it to appliances. My husband has IBS and urgently needed the restroom. There are only two stalls in the men's bathroom, yet there were THREE gentlemen in there, and they remained in there for an unusually long time. My husband eventually had to leave because he simply couldn't wait. Then we headed over to appliances. We were specifically looking at scratch-and-dent appliances because we happen to believe there's absolutely nothing wrong with saving money where you can. We have money. We just prefer spending it on things that actually matter instead of wasting it on first-world shit when a perfectly good appliance with a scratch or dent will wash the exact same clothes. The gentleman in appliances appeared much more interested in Facebook than helping us, so I finally approached another employee and asked for assistance. His first response was: "Well, I don't work in appliances." Then he followed it up by telling us: "This is the Sanford and Son section." I'm still not entirely sure what that was supposed to mean. I'm guessing he was referring to the scratch-and-dent appliances, but regardless, it came across as incredibly condescending. Then came the giggling and laughing. Here's the thing: we weren't asking anybody for a handout. We were trying to GIVE Lowe's our money. Choosing to buy scratch-and-dent doesn't mean someone can't afford something new. Sometimes it means they've figured out that paying hundreds of extra dollars because the side of a washing machine is cosmetically perfect is ridiculous. Good customer service would have taken about 30 seconds: "I don't work in appliances, but let me find someone who does." Instead, we walked into Lowe's as longtime customers ready to purchase two appliances and walked out feeling like employees were more interested in Facebook, jokes, and judging which section we were shopping in than actually helping us. So maybe we've been spelling the name wrong all these years. Apparently there's supposed to be a B in front of it. BLOWE'S. Do better, Conway Lowe's.

They're a great store if you know what you want and where it's located inside the store. Otherwise…read moreyou're on your own. The store is a mess, they don't keep shelves stocked and honestly they're a bit rude. As a small woman (yes I'm playing the woman card) you'd think when buying 6 bags of feed and it's dark outside that one of the bored employees would offer to help. But my last trip into TSC was by far the most frustrating, their bathroom was disgusting and out of toilet paper and paper towels which was lovely, but then I needed a metal trash can but couldn't find a matching lid. Found an employee (I was one of two customers inside the store...) who told me the trash cans don't come with lids (as someone who owns two of the exact same trash cans and worked at a store that sold them, I know they DO come with lids....) but told me to check by where I found a trash can and wouldn't go to the back to look for a lid. So I gave up and left. Thankfully we have multiple other stores nearby that I will take my money to. It's a real shame as TSC used to be my favorite store.

I used to really like the TSC in Conway but these days I walk out empty handed more than not…read more Inventory is extremely lacking and even when I check online for things it says they have a ton of it and you get there and they don't. This happened to me recently and when I brought it to their attention they were just like "yeah, it's always like that." Why have inventory posted if it is "like that" all the time? I used to be able to just walk in and buy the feed I need but now they made the shelves where they can only keep one or two in stock and you have to just get lucky that you are the first one that got to it after the truck came. Doesn't seem like they are marketing to true farm and ranch anymore, it's more about decor and gifts. Staff is friendly enough, just wish they would work harder on keeping the shelves stocked with what I actually need.
