We had a damaged floor due to water leakage and we worked with Triond to fix the damaged floor as well as the water proof on one side of the wall. They've found some other issues in the house and I agreed to fix altogether with a change of plan signed by both parties. Gilad and Or are organized and provided honest suggestions, my questions are addressed in a timely manner through whatsapp and phone calls. I appreciate they are able to find the same floor matching my original flooring without big changes, and the fixed floor looks just the same as my original. The work is also done within planned time-frame. Overall I highly recommend working with them and I think their proposed price is honest and fair. read more

We had Gilad (the owner) come out to look at our front steps, since our home inspection revealed the moisture barrier beneath the steps needed replacing. While Gilad did give us a helpful quote for a full remodel, he actually recommended a smaller project that would extend the longevity of the existing stairs, rather than insisting on an expensive full replacement. Remodeling is inherently stressful, but our situation had extra layers of complexity. We were managing the project from out of town, our condo was on the 4th floor of a building with an HOA, and we were completely unfamiliar with the local permitting process. TRIOND managed all of these challenges, removing the headache and making the entire renovation far simpler than we imagined. We chose TRIOND because, among all the contractors we interviewed, Gilad was the most genuine and brought a wealth of experience and valuable suggestions to the table. I reached out to TRIOND to help remodel our bathroom and bathroom (~600 Sq ft). We live on a hill and had to undo work from the previous owner, so we were particularly looking for a company that was familiar with this type of work and could confidently give us the finished product we were looking for. Ultimately we wanted transform the space to feel like a primary bedroom. Triond DID NOT disappoint! We are very happy with the final product and would certainly use them again. We interviewed 4-7 contracting companies that were in the SF Bay Area. From the initial consultation Triond stood out, thanks to PJ, the project manager. PJ was extremely thorough and extremely knowledgable about SF homes and what was possible. He spent time understanding what our vision was for the space and what we needed. He also asked questions about the space that no other contractor did. Before providing a quote, PJ also came back with the Sr Foreman that would potentially do the work to make sure that they had enough information to accurately scope and quote the project. Again...no other contracting company did that or offered to come back. During this process, I also enjoyed the fact that there was a front office team to help schedule the appointments. It made it feel like there was a team, and not just a "guy" helping to get this work done. When we received quotes from the companies we met with I was surprised with the estimate for the project. The other companies came in extremely high, considering they didnt perform as thorough of a review. There were two companies that came in lower, and Triond was in between that. It would have been easy to go with the "cheapest quote" but given what we know about the space and uneven floors from talking with PJ, we felt more comfortable going with the quote from Triond because we know that they had the most information on hand to accurately assess the situation. Also, I knew with them we would be working with a team. The team aspect is important to me because I work a full time job, and need piece of mind that there are people responsible for ensuring that certain aspects of the project go right. With that being said, the construction took about 4 months. We did not have any major issues with pulling permits or with the work itself. I believe that speaks to the expertise and planning on Trionds side. Communication throughout the project mostly met our expectations. Triond created a Group Chat with the entire team. Valeria and Victoria, who support the office, were extremely helpful in making sure that our messages were being responded to and also making sure that we understood each phase of the project before we sent payments for each phase. They were a huge help. One lesson learned, is we would have opted in to keep the Designer package. We opted out in the beginning because we thought the project would be pretty straightforward, but as we got further into details on finishes, colors, and layouts it was clear we needed to have some items lined up. Gilad, the owner, and Triond were able to connect us with a designer to get some ideas going that def helped us a lot. The overall construction involved daily, if not weekly check ins on progress. Ming, the Sr Foreman, and his team were outstanding. The level of precision and care he brought to the project was very reassuring. I couldnt imagine the project without him. He had great recommendations on where to find nice materials, he was very reasonable in helping us determine was what possible, and most of all he cared about us being very happy in our new space. When it came to the final finishes and punch list, we really appreciated the all hands on deck that Triond provided. Jefferson, the Jr project manager, was very attentive to our needs and spent personal time making sure that our expectations were being met with the finishes. PJ, Ming, and Gilad checked in with us as we added additional items to our scope of work (new front door, new cabinets, bumping into the garage more, recess lights) because everything about the project was looking really good. So this is my experience working with Gilad on the project for my Grandma's garage conversion project. Triond remodeled our kitchen, and we're very pleased with the process and the results. Our job was fairly simple, a "like for like" replacement of floor, counters, cabinets, appliances, and an upgrade-to-code of electrical outlets; so we chose not to use a designer. Gilad gave us some very helpful coaching and some great resources as we prepared for the work; then he strongly advised that we move out while the work was happening. So, that we did. We did a large remodel on our home including a full garage conversion which required excavating down multiple feet to add a new bathroom, multipurpose room, laundry area, storage areas, and redo the car area of the garage. We also added square footage upstairs by expanding and completely remodeling the kitchen. Additionally, we added a new spiral staircase to allow access from the top floor to the bottom. PJ and the TRIOND team came in to do the work. With the support of the TRIOND in-house design team we explored different options and decided on all of our finish materials. The design team also provided highly realistic 3D rendering to show us exactly what the end result would look like before we made final decisions and purchased anything. The end result looks just like the renderings of the design and we are happy with it. We did run into some unanticipated issues, mainly with our retaining wall which was critical because we live on a rather steep hill. PJ worked with the engineer and architect to help answer our questions and get the project on the right path forward. Our experience with TRIOND Construction for a kitchen remodel was deeply disappointing, marked by mismanagement, poor communication, and substandard work quality. What began as an exciting renovation project quickly devolved into a series of frustrating setbacks and unfulfilled promises. Despite our clear requests and expectations, numerous crucial elements were either overlooked or poorly executed. We never received the promised full 3D rendering, and our initial contractor (PJ) demonstrated a lack of project knowledge. After specifically requesting Gilad for our project, we were assigned different contractors without proper consultation and were finally paired with Amit when Gilad decided he was not available to work with us. The quality of work was subpar across multiple areas. Our cabinet installation resulted in unnecessary soffits in every upper cabinet due to poor coordination between BUD (cabinet company), TRIOND, and the electrician - an issue we paid to avoid. The countertop fabrication was particularly disappointing, showing obvious lack of experience, to which Gilad & team deflected any accountability. Mid-project TRIOND even put together a document for us to sign to absolve them of any liability for the poor quality and installation of the kitchen cabinetry, which we refused to sign. Direct language from the agreement was "...they also agree that this resolution covers all past and future dissatisfactions related to the project, even if not explicitly stated here." This demonstrates not only their predatory business practices, but their inexperience in managing projects. Project management issues were prevalent throughout. Due to timeline mismanagement, our initially ordered appliances were cancelled, forcing us to repurchase at higher prices & required us to demand that TRIOND cover the additional cost. Basic electrical work was improperly executed - the microwave outlet placement was incorrect, and the pantry electrical layout didn't match specifications, affecting shelf spacing. We were left to install the microwave ourselves and handle basic cleanup tasks that should have been the contractor's responsibility, including removing ramboard and cleaning the deck despite multiple requests. Also, while we were out of our home during construction, our home was left in disarray, showing a clear lack of respect for our property, including not properly covering furniture & excessive trash. The sequencing of trades was poorly planned (painting cabinets prior to them being fully installed & ignoring our calls/messages about the concern around this), leading to additional problems such as damage to freshly painted cabinets & re-work extending the timeline further. We were forced to source under-cabinet lighting independently, and numerous punch list items were either left incomplete or finished with inappropriate materials, such as using incorrect paint for touch-ups. Most troubling was TRIOND's approach to project planning and client relations. They clearly undersold the overall cost to secure the contract, rather than providing realistic estimates and alternative solutions that would meet our quality expectations within budget. When issues arose, they consistently deflected responsibility to third-party vendors instead of taking accountability. Their communication was unreliable - regularly missing scheduled weekly calls without notice and being unresponsive during urgent situations. The company also displayed gender bias, consistently directing communications to my husband while dismissing me, both in person and via messages. Their promised timeline of 45-60 days (over 1 year from engagement in reality) proved to be completely inaccurate, and their poor reputation with vendors resulted in substandard work from subcontractors, particularly evident in the lighting and cabinet installation. Additionally, at the very end of the project Gilad introduced us to a new CEO, Stephan, after a couple of discussions attempting to resolve our issues it was clear that he was bringing more of the same lack of accountability & dismissive attitude towards the quality of work TRIOND provided during our kitchen remodel. Lastly, he tried to have us sign an NDA so that we could not share our honest feedback about the reality of our experience. Based on our experience, we would not recommend TRIOND Construction. Their combination of poor project management, substandard work quality, and unprofessional communication practices resulted in a stressful and unsatisfactory renovation experience. read more

My TL;DR is that TRIOND was great, super flexible with various constraints from me and the house itself. For context, this is my first house and all the work done by TRIOND was pre-move-in, so I have no other contracting experience to compare against. Overall I thought Gilad and his team were very easy to work with, very open to talking through options & open to doing unorthodox things when I wanted that, but still forthcoming with their own opinions. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work. My house is old and weird and Gilad helped transform it from "weird and hazardous" to "weird and comfortable". There were lots of unusual house features and Gilad and his team were very creative and helpful. The estimates provided by TRIOND were pretty accurate. Once things got started everything went pretty fast; I think the main bottleneck was waiting for materials, but we discussed that up front and everything arrived roughly when it was supposed to. Cost estimates were accurate but we added a couple of extra changes partway through. Communication was great throughout the process! Gilad was very easy to reach and always got back to me quickly. If anything, I was the slow one! I was a little scared having heard various horror stories about contractors but everything went smoothly. Let me start by saying that our journey with TRIOND was not a short one. We had met with the project manager for the first time in May, and the work had only started four months later, in mid-September. The reason being we were not sure if we wanted to hire them only for kitchen remodeling. We initially thought we'd like to finalize the kitchen remodel before moving forward with any other project, but after meeting with a few other companies we felt comfortable hiring TRIOND for all of our other remodeling needs. Eventually, they worked on our kitchen, the master bathroom, and the powder room. We love how it turned out! Based on the designer recommendations we made some brave choices, and decided to go with a modern-industrial style for our kitchen. As for the master bathroom, the chosen style was clean and classic; different shades of grey, with touches of light blue. For the powder room we chose a vibrant wallpaper (we were surprised with this choice!) but it turned out nicely, with all the other fixtures. The project was about 13 weeks, but mainly because we had to wait for some of the finish materials to get delivered. When we decide to remodel the rest of our house (it's a 3 story SF Victorian) we would like to work with TRIOND again. read more

We live in the Sunset district in San Francisco and we hired Triond to remodel our bathroom. We found Triond while exploring contractors on Google, they were one of the first that came up when we searched. We were looking specifically for folks with experience working on older SF houses and who understood the history as we wanted to build something that could have reasonably existed 75 years ago. We decided to work with Triond right after our first meeting and conversation with the project manager. He showed us examples of work they'd done before and it was very much in-line with what we were hoping to end up with. Sooner after we had contracts in place and we were kicking off with demo shortly after. Once the work was underway, we were so happy with the quality of the work and attention to detail. We were first time home buyers with no previous remodeling experience so it was important that we picked a partner that could guide us through the process and handle more of the project management than a contractor usually does. TRIOND's team did a great job! The project included several different jobs, which all turned out wonderfully. The scope of interior projects included: a full garage conversion (flooring, painting, building closets); kitchen renovation (repainting cabinets, backsplash tiling, installing floating shelves); and a basement storage room conversion to a bedroom (window installation and permitting, flooring, full room finishing and closet building). The exterior work included: a fence facelift, repainting the entire outdoor deck, and tiling the outdoor patio. The team also tackled the full punch list of items to fix that were noted on the property inspection report as part of my purchase disclosures. The company's designer and project manager helped me select materials, navigate the San Francisco city permitting process, and communicated in advance on all the budget details. We would like to give a shout-out to Triond Construction for the awesome remodel of our new bathroom. Our Project Manager and his team took our 50's outdated bathroom stripped it to the studs and with his design team came up with a gorgeous new room. We now have a luxurious soaking tub, beautiful floor and wall tile and a larger shower. The shower was enlarged with a two sided glass enclosure, rain shower head and floor to ceiling tile. We had the pleasure of working with our project manager on the complete renovation of our 70's kitchen and 20's bathroom in the late winter of 2020-1. We moved out during the project to make it easier on ourselves and on the crew. Through the course of the renovation our project manager was a consummate professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the scale and cost of the our project which was we feel was quite reasonable. He chose and managed his workers well.
