They really brought the right festive energy and live music, even better than I could have imagined. They also agreed to play for us as we went "down the aisle" with a song we chose, and despite being entirely indoors, the music was just the right volume to celebrate without stopping conversations during social times. I'm thrilled to have had them as part of our special day and hope that this review gets them the attention they deserve for other events. Thank you all! ¡Muchas gracias a todos ustedes!

I was in luck this day as I found both a brand new e-drum amplifier and a used Sheraton at fair prices. Looking the guitar over I noticed the nut for the instrument jack was loose and asked that it be tightened prior to purchasing. On a semi-hollow & hollow body guitars this can be a tedious task, hence why I asked for assistance. The guitar tech, Dimitri, stopped what he was doing and went above and beyond my expectations to remedy the problem. It was not a quick fix and he kept me updated throughout the process. Starving Musician is my first stop when looking for music gear. They have been around as long as I can remember and offer the best trade-in value for your used gear. Always a great experience.

Honestly, pretty disappointing experience at Starving Musician. I rented a drum kit here, and the…read moreguy who initially helped me was super awesome! Super friendly, professional, and actually gave a damn about customer service. I can't remember his name, but he usually works around the drum repair section and has facial hair. Not sure if he's a manager, but dude definitely deserves to be one. Now, returning the kit? Whole different story. I walked in and asked this older white dude with long curly hair, who was just standing behind the counter (he might be the manager) chatting with another employee, if they had a cart I could borrow to unload the drums. His response? He didn't see one. Seriously, bro? You work here and don't know if you have a cart? Smh Like, y'all rent out entire drum kits. You KNOW customers have a ton of heavy equipment to haul in and out. The guy who originally rented it to me understood that and was kind enough to help. Meanwhile, these dudes couldn't even be bothered to hold the damn door. Some random guy outside had to help me instead. Imagine getting better customer service from someone who doesn't even work there lol And here's the kicker: eventually, someone behind the counter brought out a cart. So apparently, they DID have one after all. Go figure. Look, I'm not asking for VIP treatment. Just some basic common sense and decent customer service. It's really not that complicated. My advice? If you're renting anything here, find the guy with facial hair in the drum section. That dude deserves recognition. Now that I think about it I should have given him a tip I feel bad abiut it. As for the older white curly-haired guy behind the counter? I'd avoid dealing with him. Dude acted like helping a paying customer was some kind of personal inconvenience. Great first impression, absolutely trash return experience

It added such an elegant and romantic touch to our day and made everything feel even more special. They had so many song choices to choose from, which made it easy to find the perfect music for our wedding. Every song sounded incredible, and they created the exact atmosphere we were hoping for. The music during our ceremony was especially beautiful and made those moments feel so meaningful. The team was also professional, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly, and we truly appreciated how seamless the experience was. I highly recommend Corelli Strings to anyone looking for live string music for their wedding or special event. They were fantastic, incredibly talented, and the perfect addition to our wedding day!

They send over a sheet with their music selections, you fill out what you want, and send it back about a month before the wedding. One thing I'll say is that the music sounded even better in person than in the samples. So many of our guests commented on how cool it was and how much it added to the atmosphere. For our 2-hour City Hall wedding, it was honestly perfect. It really fills up the space and makes everything feel a lot more grand and special without feeling over the top. Based on their samples and advice from some of our musician friends, we decided to go with the trio for a fuller sound, and I'm really glad we did. Highly recommend going that route if it fits your budget.

I knew exactly that I wanted to walk down the aisle to a violin playing in the background. There's something about live music, especially strings that add so much elegance and romance to the setting. For the most part, I worked only with Daphna from beginning to end. Bruce showed up ready to go at the wedding. Daphna was very professional and so pleasant to work with from the get go. Our process consisted of an initial meeting, which was a phone call in our case, and a final phone call closer to the wedding day to finalize music selections. We were not only limited to these 2 meetings, she was also available in between those times if we had any questions and she was always very responsive. Her vast knowledge in music was helpful when we couldn't decide for our recessional song. Additionally, she was more than willing to listen to our ideas and learn new music if needed. Her years of experience showed in the way she handled our questions (lots of it) and the outcome of our ceremony. I still get chills when I reflect back standing in my bridal room waiting to come out and I hear Daphna and Bruce start to play Pachebel's Canon in D. I couldn't be happier and I'm so happy I found them!

But I had contacted a…read morecouple and after a few emails, they stopped responding, so my mom (who was helping me plan my wedding) took to Yelp to do some searching. Along came Music by Daphna. Daphna was extremely prompt in answering the first emails, and met with us in her home to go over what I wanted. My wedding was in a church, but my husband and I don't have a traditional, romantic, lovey-dovey relationship, so I didn't want that kind of music. I had very specific ideas about what I wanted, and Daphna assured me the music I wanted would be beautiful and that she and her partner Bruce would learn any songs I wanted, as long as they thought they could do them justice with just the violin and guitar duo. I chose my songs in early March, and then about a month before the October wedding, I had a revelation and wanted something totally different - I emailed Daphna and she was more than willing to work with me. I chose modern songs that reflected my personality and the relationship I have with my family, my bridal party, and mostly, my husband. Our mothers were seated to "Nine in the Afternoon" by Panic! At The Disco (I had originally chosen "Cocoon" by Jack Johnson) Our bridal party processed to "God Only Knows What I'd Be Without You" by the Beach Boys (I had originally chosen the theme from the God Father) I walked in with my father to "Everlong" by The Foo Fighters Our recessional was "That's Amore" by Dean Martin & "The Tarantella" Everyone remarked at how lovely the music was, and how much it fit our lives together and my personality. I would hire Daphna to do my wedding again in a heart beat! She was everything I expected and SO MUCH MORE! If you're at a loss for finding someone for you wedding, cocktail hour, or anything in between, you should definitely meet with you. I'll be looking for an excuse to hire her in the future!
