The food was delicious, had a salad, Fish Taco's hubby had a Blackened Chicken Sandwich., Panna Cotta, for dessert. Wonderful selection's. CJ was our server, and did a great warm greetings and helped us with our ordering choices. Servers were all friendly and helped each other happily. The location was connected to bowling alley/entertainment area, but not the bowling alley food at all. Wonderful experience.

This place is so good. We come here all the time. The food is very good and they also have bowling and a Game Center. The owners are so sweet and always welcoming, definitely recommend

I'm new in town so I decide to try this restaurant. Been here twice. The food was very good. I recommend the salad that has shrimp and oranges in it. The shrimp ceviche is good on a hot day. The drinks are also tasty and not over priced. What made the dinning experience even better was that one of the owners made sure to visit every single table. The waitresses were awesome. Both times I had very fast service and they were very friendly.

    Beer Batter Cod (Delicious!)

I went to Trio Grille tonight. They have completely stepped up their game. The food was delicious, the service was superb, and priced right. We will be back! We had the beer batter cod and it was excellent! I can't wait to try their steak.

Dry Ribs, tender and definitely not "Dry" fall off the bone with the garlic potato wedges. Yes, they are swimming in butter!

MacKenzie our waitress was bubbly and courteous! Give the girl a raise. Large bar, nice fireplace, definitely a neighborhood place. Have dinner and go for a round of bowling afterwards. Dry ribs tender and fall of the bone. Garlic potatoes wedges most excellent. My wife's Chicken Marsala had 2 huge breasts (the dinner) with excellent pasta. A must come back to especially on Friday for fish fry and Saturday for prime rib.

The potato was near very not warm, the chicken hot and good. You'd think it would have had a few celery and carrot sticks included just to get some veggies in and to make the presentation a bit more appealing, but then presentation is not really why you go there, I'm guessing. Got a gimlet and it was good. The server was really on the ball. We were there for a 1:00 lunch weekday. It wasn't terribly busy at all a few other tables and a few at the bar. My friend had the jambalaya special. I got the impression she was just ok with it and said it tasted better than it looked, and honestly it did look very unappealing. Almost like they took a decent jambalaya and put it in a blender. No discernible shrimp, sausage, chicken or rice, but she said it was in there. Color mostly brown. could not have eaten it. When the waitress said Jambalaya was the special I perked up but then remembered where I was and had always heard they had good chicken so I went with what they are supposed to be good at, jambalaya at a place that specializes in that type of food only. Ambiance. Well it's basically a local bar/restaurant, pretty much no frills, nothing stood out, really. Bar, tables, booths but a decent place for drinks and food. Just don't recommend the jambalaya.

Niko's Pointers Saloon is one of several bars in the downtown area of this small town. A lot of room for groups. There's a surprising amount of space. Basic menu items to get. It's got better drinks than food to be honest. There's actually some pretty thoughtfully made up cocktails especially for seasons. Also lots of the beers. The cocktails include the classics and modern stuff. A lot of beers on tap along with more in bottles and cans. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail like whiskey and whatever. As for the food it's mostly meaty. They even have the salads topped with bacon so it's not good for plant based people. It's about $11 to get the Beer Nuggets. These are pizza dough rolls fried and served with marinara sauce. Actually it was better than expected. The menu also includes plenty of meaty choices if you like things like fish and pork. For sure it's one of the most popular restaurants in the area. It's located on State Street at Prairie. There's plenty of TVs for watching games or whatever.

There were only two people working the bartender and a waitress. We waited like 5 minutes of not longer to get a greeting . It took like 5 more minutes to get seated. We grabbed menus to get an idea of what we might want to eat. I went into the restaurant part looking for an employee. She was wiping down empty tables saw me but never acknowledged my presence. The bartender saw us standing waiting to be seated and also didn't acknowledge us. I didn't understand why it took so long to get seated there were only 3 people at a table and the rest of the restaurant was empty. There were a few people at the bar. When we finally got seated the waitress asked if the table was dirty we said yes but she didn't wipe it or anything. She was saying that she had like 35 boys come in to eat and messed up the whole other side of the restaurant. She got us our drinks and then asked if we were ready to order. We said Please give us a few minutes to decide. When she took our order she was nice. When we got our food my friend ordered the Niko burger the bacon was rubbery and not even half cooked. She poured A1 sauce on the side and it was very watery it wasn't thick like normal A1 sauce should be. My partner ordered chicken fingers the meat inside was good and had the crisp on the outside, I ordered an Italian beef sandwich it was good but only had meat on half the sandwich and didn't melt in your mouth. I was only given a very small 2 tablespoons side of au jus. The waitress got us our refills but wasn't attentive like I would expect considering we were the only people in the restaurant. Is it a place I would go back to? Probably not. I was disappointed considering it was downtown Marengo. The ambience was wilderness and forest themed the restaurant was clean but the women's bathroom was not.

Well I saw it had food and we went a few weeks back. The place was empty, but that happens at times in WS I don't get it. It was a Fri night and a little late to eat with the kids (maybe 730) but DEAD on a Fri... Still we ordered anyway Our food looked good & fresh. I got this great sounding pineapple chicken wrap (can't remember the name) but unfortunately it was almost inedible--super spicy....i like some spice but this was like the spiciest Indian-food-level spice despite having no mention on the menu of any discernible spice. I was bummed because it was otherwise cooked well...but I couldn't eat it (had about 1/3 and left it -- mentioning to the very kind waitress that it was almost inedible-- which it was. My kids & wife seemed to have decent meals, but that item (if it wasn't just cooked wrong -- and I think that may have been the issue) shouldn't be on the menu unfortunately We might give it another try before writing this place off...I want to see the Square restaurants & shops do well...but right now I can't recommend

We were there on a Saturday afternoon. First off, the staff and service was decent. Our server was nice, but she did seem like she didn't want to be there but did follow up in a timely fashion. The biggest issue was the food. My lady had the Butcher Shop omelet, and I had the Monte Cristo. The food was barely edible. I should have known better than ordering a Monte Cristo in a family restaurant, so maybe that's on me. It tasted like they took the previous day's pre-made French toast, used a dried out unseasoned chicken breast, left over breakfast ham, and what ever cheap Swiss cheese they could find. I took one bite and lost my appetite. I could barely eat half of it. To add insult to injury; The fries were not good either... and they upcharge you for them. They tasted like boiled potatoes. Ketchup could not help them. My lady was less than impressed with her omelet as well. It was basically flavorless Which is difficult with that much meat. Either way, we wont be returning.
