They have declined dramatically in their patient care over the last 3 years I have taken my pets to them. And if you have an exotic animal I would avoid this vets.
In December I was quoted £600 for an operation In two places on the guinea pig. I agreed to go ahead with the operation until the vet ( who since left the practice) called me to say we could half the operation as the biopsy was inconclusive. Four months later I went again as the most concerning lump had grown a little bigger and was causing her discomfort, only to be quoted close to £1000 for exactly the same operation. A price difference well beyond normal inflation. They conceded to charge the lower price for the operation without apology and the aftercare was not good. Although I did my best to clean the most major wound every day and to make sure her living place was as hygienic as possible, I was made to feel like I was the problem that she was chewing her scabs and causing herself ongoing bleeding. The vet who operated Jon her was absent much of the time so I saw a fear mongering locum which resulted in two emergency visits as the wound got worse to different gets because of the absence of the vet who operated on her. One time I drove to London because I was told no vet was at trinity and the more local vet would charge me as a new client. The one in London wouldn't. When the vet in London charged a new customer price and realised I'd been referred they suggested I ask for a compensation from Trinity. However the staff who had had that conversation over price had not told the truth about what they had said to me and the conversation conveys in the email was entirely different. They said the would contact the vet in London to say I was coming but I arrived there and was nearly turned away at the door as that vet knew nothing about me coming fortunately they had space to see me.
This catalogue of failures by Trinity vets shows a marked decline in Thier service. They used to be excellent. And the dishonesty of the staff upset me the most.
They used to have at least three exotic vets and now appear to only have one. Mark is good and your pet is in the best hands with him, but he is only one man and cannot see to urgent problem since they used to have about 3 exotic vets there but now only have one. When my pet finally saw Mark again. The wound which other gets around Kent had labelled a serious concern, turned out to not be a problem and there was a very simply solution to aid the healing. But as you can imagine. One exotic vet in the practice is not ideal. Furthermore they don't respond to emails in a timely manner so if you have worries about your animal they won't put your fears to rest. The way the gaslight the concerns of thier clients is abysmal.
Vets avoided. I'm now looking for a new exotic vets in case of needing them for one of my other two pets.... read more
