Please avoid Pets at Home vets like the plague. They do not care about the animals they only care…read moreabout the money. My rabbit broke her leg, my dad took her here and they said they would need to operate and would he please deposit £500-600 with them for surgery. My dad loved my rabbit so much he did as he was told. I got a call at work from a male "vet" who said her leg was broken in too many pieces to mend, and he said he had to amputate. I asked him if he did an X-Ray, he said no. I said, so how do you know it's broken in too many places? He said, he can feel it. I asked how long I had to decide, he said, in the next 5 minutes. It is months since this incident and I must say, this vet scarred me for life. They are so uncaring and they expect you to tell them they can cut off your rabbit's leg in the same day? I still get angry thinking about them. I spoke with another helper lady there, and told her I needed more time to decide this, at the same time I asked her if there were overnight fees and she said no, take your time. Finally I discussed with my family and we decided we wanted a second vet opinion and tried to transfer my pet there. They would not let my dad take the bunny away because "It would be cruel, she would be in pain". In the end we had to get the new vet to call them up and get the file before they will let us take our pet away. Would you believe it, because of this they charged us an extra day of "day fee" around £30. Surprise surprise, they charged us "day fees" for keeping a rabbit in a small pet cage in their store, this is notwithstanding the morphine they were pumping into her which was also charged at extortionate prices. They even tried to charge us the higher "day fee" for a cat instead of a rabbit, what a farce! The good news is, my 2nd vet took the X-Ray, it was one clean break, they put a pin in and my rabbit is now back to normal. If I listened to these heartless people, my rabbit would have been the innocent victim of greed and would now have 3 legs instead of 4.

I discourage to everyone to spay her pet at this clinic, it gives 0% of guarantee if anything goes…read morewrong because they have to close at 7.00 pm according to their procedure. At the end of July, I left my dog in the early morning to spay her, and of course they charged me the price before I left the clinic, (£370 for a small dog). When I pick up here the surgery was fine (around 6pm). Before arriving at home, the stiches came up and my poor dog started to bleed badly, when I called them and explain the issue (around 6.30pm) the answer of the clinic was exactly that, they close at 7.00, go to a 24h vet, end of the story. Obviously, I went to a 24h clinic, she had to spend the night there so the emergency vet could check her properly. Fortunately, she checked very well and did the stiches again. The bill was £730. I was even more shocked not receiving a single call, email or SMS from easipet to see how my dog was, despite they knew that something wrong happened. The formal answer for their part when we raised the problem was that they acted according to their procedure, so if you are a customer, be aware about their procedure before it is too late. It cost me more than one thousand pounds and a terrible day. I tell everyone that I know to avoid this vet for the above reason, 0% guarantee and 0% interest on your pet.

Save your money and do not go to Easipetcare in Dartford!…read more Although the receptionists were lovely and friendly, the vets lacked professionalism and did not handle our case well. Our cat hadn't eaten for five days after a severe episode of vomiting. They did an X-ray and suggested either continuing with liquids to help his stomach or going straight to surgery as they "suspected" something in his stomach, which could be gas, a foreign object (which needs to be removed), or simply faeces but no concrete answer. When we asked if they had done blood tests, they said no. We inquired if an ultrasound was a possibility before surgery and then they confirmed they could do one. Why didn't the doctors present us with different options before suggesting surgery? Eventually, they did the blood tests and informed us that some results were concerning. They advised monitoring him overnight at home as they don't offer overnight stay so we had to collect him in the evening in poor condition, monitor him overnight ourselves and bring him back in the morning when they open to continue the case, most likely going straight to surgery. The bill came up to £1,500 by then and we still didn't have an answer for what could be the issue, it was all maybe(s) and perhaps. After another sleepless night and our cat's declining health, we called the vet at 8 am to schedule the surgery, thinking it was our only option. Easipetcare said there were no slots available for surgeries and referred us to a pet hospital instead. At the pet hospital, the doctor examined him and determined that surgery was not necessary at this point as they suspected an infection and inflammation based on his blood test results and high temperature which was naturally affecting other organs, including the stomach. They recommended doing a localized ultrasound first and keeping him overnight for monitoring, drips, and antibiotics. The ultrasound determined pancreatitis and our cat was treated accordingly. A few hours later, he was already better--eating, drinking, and using the bathroom. Thinking we were about to go into surgery with Easipetcare and being charged a hefty sum for it to be in vain makes my blood boil. We will now be registering our cats in a different practice and we hope our story serves a purpose and doesn't happen again to pet parents
