I phoned All Creatures just before closing time and explained little Alfie's odder than usual behaviour and obsessive toileting needs. The lady I spoke to was immediately helpful, seemed genuinely concerned and quickly advised on the possible medical explanation. I was able to book an appointment for first thing the following morning and she also gave me the number for the emergency out-of-hours vet just in case. The next morning, (having phoned the emergency vet and been given some very clear guidance enabling me to assess that the situation wasn't imminently fatal - I have so much knowledge on the topic now I feel like I may be capable of achieving a minor veterinary qualification myself), Alfie and I duly pitched up at All Creatures. The vet we saw came across as caring and knowledgeable, and Alfie seemed pretty calm throughout despite ordinarily being susceptible to stress during close encounters with vets. He even didn't seem to mind the observations about his weight - he's on a diet and going cold turkey on "Dreamies", but no need to rub it in when a fella's already feeling delicate eh. As well as dealing with the medical issue in hand, the vet also gave Alfie a general check, which seemed very thorough, noticing that he needs some dental work for a cracked tooth (which might have something to do with his penchant for tearing cardboard boxes into bits with his teeth). So it looks like we'll be returning quite soon.

This is a great veterinary surgery…read more When I lived in Wandsworth Town, I elected to take my two rats to this vet, as it was a nearby surgery that specialised in exotics (in addition to the normal cats, dogs and rabbits of course). The vets and the technicians were always friendly and knowledgeable. I had to take one of my rats in for surgery twice (to get tumours removed), and she was treated like a celebrity at All Creatures (one of the vet nurses particularly fawned all over her when she was in recovery and looked forward to when she had to come in for follow-up appointments so she could have a cuddle). The facilities themselves are completely clean, and - importantly for wary animals - All Creatures doesn't SMELL like a vet. I moved away from SW London and decided I should start taking my rats to a closer vet surgery, so I did. However, usually chilled out pets, they did not like this new vet, not even on their second visit, not one bit. So the next time they needed treatment I decided to take them back to All Creatures. My rats were most at ease with their most recent visit. So much so that there's no where else I can possibly ever take them, even if it might be a little more convenient for me. All Creatures is a winner.

And also the other vets who gleefully gleamed because they thought lying, starving, maiming, and hurting defenceless animals was humorous. Our belove pet eventually died from his injuries. Following an investigation, the RSVC failed to address any of our complaints, including the vet in question's negligent attitude and practice. Instead, the RSVC responded by stating that they fully support the vet and will defend him, and that we should apologise for hurting his feelings. This only leads to one conclusion, is that pet owners should be amused too and happy when vile vets kill or maimed their treasure member of their family's. It is evident that only the RSVC, the vet, and the clinic staff have feelings. And pet owners should shut up and move on. Don't be fool, by their VIP service, its desperation and clout chasing. They are only after money and wealthy who they can push up on. Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic Vets care nothing about pets. Our regular vets are shut on Sunday, but have a tie-up with this clinic for emergencies. The nurse on the phone was very helpful and helped calm us down. She gave us some recommendations, and told us to call again in the evening if the symptoms didn't abate. We had to call them again and were given an appointment quickly. The nurse in the waiting room was efficient and calmed us down as well as all the other people who came in with their pets in emergencies. The doctor when we saw her was brilliant. Attentive to all our input and handled our temperamental + sick cat beautifully. Given the problem we have getting a tablet down her throat, she gave us a paste to feed her in 2 hours and she has promised us that cats LOVE the taste. She also gave her an injection for the nausea and discomfort and put in a bit of a pain killer too to ease the cat. As soon as we got home, our cat who was on 15-20% energy levels and 60% stubbornness for the past 24 hours, is now at 60% energy and 90% stubbornness ( in 30 minutes) Very very impressed and happy with every interaction that we had with this clinic today.

Worst was that the groomer did not tell me!! When I went back to show them what happened to my dog and talk about it they simply said 'usually the groomer will tell us if an accident has happened but sometimes they don't'. No offer of any sort of compensation or gesture to make up the stress that my dog and I both went through. Yelp contacted me to say the salon had complained about my review. Now I see that Yelp took off my earlier review. It seems we can't trust reviews anymore if the notice board is only going to contain a selection of reviews.

Instead of compassion, I was met with shocking rudeness from the brunette woman at reception. She immediately told me she couldn't help me because I'm not on benefits. Then, rather than offering any support, she began commenting on my age -- I'm 17 -- and said I shouldn't be responsible for a pet and that I was being irresponsible. I came in seeking help for an injured animal, and instead I was judged and spoken down to. What makes this even more upsetting is that when my mom later spoke to the same staff member, she claimed that they help everyone -- not just people on benefits. The complete contradiction and the way I was treated differently is incredibly concerning. No one asking for help with an injured pet should be met with judgment or dismissiveness, especially not a young person trying to do the responsible thing. The lack of empathy and professionalism was honestly heartbreaking during an already stressful situation.

Despite being a charity also struggling to raise funds they then stepped in when no one else would for my cat Sox, they agreed thanks to Celia to fund what was needed and give me time to fund any surgury, this included x rays blood tests pain relief interpretation of xrays potential transport of patient to other branch out of hours visit by nurse for top up medication to name just a few things she needed Sox had a fractured pelvis meaning surgury was an absolute must they where happy to give me time being so kind compassionate and understanding of my situation to try and do this despite how hard they may find getting funds to support all the animals just like my sox! Then a Celia Hammond Supporter and myself had a conversation before I knew it thanks to such amazing people sox has surgury in the next few days to correct her fractured pelvis...!! I will be eternally greatful for the intervention celia Hammond did... Putting the whole of the rest of London in pure shame for their encouraging an animal to suffer without treatment proof of eligibility or even payment plan offer yet celia Hammond in true form showed the rest of London what it means to truelly show an animal care compassion and fight for them the way these other charities claim they do, cannot imagine where we'd be without their support honestly so please where able please do donate because it directly helps cats like my Sox actually have a chance...
