My home is 22 years old and after about 6 years, half of my windows failed, because when I pushed…read morethem up to open the window, they would immediately slam back down. They would NOT stay open! It was a dangerous situation. I received a referral from my neighbor to Rich Ursetta with Energy Window Solutions. I was about to go with another window replacement company a good friend referred to me, but my neighbor said, "please talk to Rich before you made a final decision about your windows!" I'm so glad that I did!! Rich was so knowledgeable about the products, as well as the entire installation process because of his vast experience with the window manufacturer AND his comprehensive hands-on experience in the commercial/residential construction industry. I even asked for a customer reference for any jobs Rich had done in my neighborhood. Without missing a beat, Rich provided the customer reference the same day. I emailed the customer reference, a neighbor a few blocks from me, who had his windows replaced by Energy Window Solutions 4 years prior. He confirmed everything about the 30 % reduction in his energy bills, how professional the Installers were and how satisfied he was doing business with Rich. That sealed the deal for me. I had so much fun talking with Rich! The window product, with its TRIPLE-PANE feature, is the BEST in the industry! The price was the BEST in the industry! And after having it expertly installed by the INSTALLATION CREW, I know that the installation process is the BEST in the industry! The Installation Crew did everything that could be done to minimize dust and window frame demo debris as much as possible. In 100+ DEGREE PUNISHING TEXAS HEAT, it took the crew 2 days to install 11 windows, including a huge (heavy) PICTURE WINDOW in the dining area!!! My windows are AMAZING! The best part is that, when I sit down to eat a meal with my wonderful husband, I can gaze out of my beautiful picture window to the view of my backyard garden! WHAT A JOY! Rich Ursetta with Energy Window Solutions is the way to go with one of the most important home improvement investments you'll ever make! I'm SUPPER HAPPY!!

The house we had just bought had 13+ failed windows and broken patio doors, and I researched window…read morecompanies to get quotes for just going ahead and replacing all of the windows so they would all match. If you've never been through this process, it's incredibly confusing and frustrating: every window manufacturer changes aspects of their ratings so it's very difficult to compare apples to apples and it's hard to know why pricing varies. And... be prepared to see some numbers that will make your eyes pop. I ultimately selected Energy Window Solutions in no small part due to Rich Ursetta. I was hesitant about which company to choose for window replacement initially, but Rich really won me over. His bid was certainly not the least expensive quote (but he wasn't the most expensive either), but here is what really made him stand out. 1. Rich is not just a sales guy. A lot of the window outfits have a sales guy with little field experience who gives you a quote and then passes the baton to the next team. Rich was my point person and advocate throughout the entire operation and he's been through it all and he does all the sales and measurements himself (he has very high standards). He has decades of experience in this industry, is *incredibly* knowledgeable, and also has a construction background. I didn't appreciate the value of this until issues came up and the job was finally complete. He can explain any aspect of windows that you'd ever want to know, is familiar with the install process, can work with GC's or other trades to ensure the windows are installed the correct way, is meticulous with his measurements, and helps you understand and navigate the window industry in general. (For example: Many window outfits promise a warranty and then go out of business 10 years later, so pick a well-known and established company.) Energy Window Solutions offers a lifetime warranty and they've been in business a very long time. Also, a testament to him, during his *quote*, he noticed that my concrete underneath the patio doors wasn't actually touching the bottom of the doors by about 0.5 cm. This was a critical detail that numerous other people missed, including two property inspectors that I hired before purchasing the house. 2. Rich is accountable, prompt with responses, stands behind his work, and gets things done RIGHT. I learned an incredible amount about windows from this experience, including how any wood rot exposed when the old windows were removed needs to be corrected and replaced. His install team (Kurt, Steve) is top notch, nice and friendly guys, and did a beautiful job with all of the carpentry for the new flashing and woot rot replacement. After the install was done and the bill was paid, I noticed that one window was leaking. I called Rich and in less than 24 hours his install team was back to correct the issue. It was due to an old piece of flashing they had originally opted not to replace, but ended up correcting it after the fact at N/C. (They had replaced everything else, but they said that one seemed fine, turned out it wasn't). On a big job like this, things happen and what's important is how they take care of you when they do. That is the level of customer service I've come to really respect and admire from Rich. Before/during the sale, he must have been out to my house at least 10 times for everything from keeping an eye on the install, to double-checking measurements, to talking to my GC about how the concrete patio should be poured, to even hopping over my fence (!) on my request to take some measurements when I wasn't available to be there. After the sale, he treats you like a friend and takes care of you. 3. The windows are fantastic. They look amazing, super high quality, feel cool to the touch even on a hot summer day here, and Rich even suggested some changes to the window style on one of the windows that I didn't fully appreciate until it was installed. I couldn't be more pleased and enthusiastic about recommending Rich and Energy Window Solutions. And make sure to check out "Dutch Shine Window Cleaning" to shine up your new windows, AMAZING!

I went into this project confident and well-informed after watching the company's educational…read morevideos and relying on their expertise. The products and installation were generally professional, but important gaps only surfaced once decisions became final -- when flexibility was gone and costs shifted to me. For context, this project included a bedroom patio door, a side entry door, and replacement windows. This review isn't about bad intent. It's about where education and expert confidence end -- and where homeowners need to slow down and verify assumptions. The videos genuinely help level up homeowners. They explain terminology and common pitfalls and make the process feel clear. Where that education can fall short is when theory meets real-world constraints. Understanding products at a high level doesn't guarantee those choices will translate cleanly once manufacturing begins. The first gap I encountered involved usability. I replaced wood doors with fiberglass doors and assumed hanging blinds would be straightforward. I later learned fiberglass doors with foam cores don't provide the same structural support as solid wood, and traditional blind mounting can be risky unless planned around limited wood blocking. By the time this became clear, the doors were already ordered. Internal blinds would have been the safest solution, but that decision must be made before manufacturing. After raising the issue, I learned internal-blind glass units were available, but only in double pane -- not triple pane -- and without laminated options. I would have been paying to move from triple pane to double pane to solve a usability issue that hadn't been discussed earlier. I declined. The issue wasn't that tradeoffs exist -- it was how late they became visible. Another issue surfaced during installation. An existing storm door was removed, and I learned mid-install it would not be reinstalled. That had not been discussed during sales or measurement. The lesson for me: if something matters, confirm it explicitly before installation begins. Install day is where risk largely shifts to the homeowner. After the crew left, I noticed drywall damage, sealant contacting finished surfaces, debris inside and out, a damaged sprinkler head where materials were staged, and cigarette butts in the yard. Some items were addressed later; others required additional time and expense. The patio door also required adjustment and still does not open and close cleanly. I was told the next step may involve shaving material off the door -- an example of how fixes can escalate once installation is complete. My primary concern for the bedroom patio door was security and sound. Based on that, I was advised to go with triple pane. Living with the result, sound performance has not met my expectations. Laminated glass, which was not discussed during sales, is generally considered superior for both sound and security. After raising concerns, I learned the manufacturer does not publish specific sound performance ratings for its door assemblies. The recommendation appears to have been based on industry convention rather than product-specific testing. When I revisited the issue, the recommendation was affirmed and third-party solutions were suggested. When performance isn't clearly tested or measured, it becomes difficult to know whether the product was the best fit -- or whether the outcome simply falls short. If I were starting over, I would validate real-world usability early, confirm important details in writing, treat the measurement appointment as the last true decision point, ask what is tested versus conventional, and actively inspect install day before the crew leaves. The videos and guidance are helpful, but they don't replace pressure-testing assumptions before decisions harden. If nothing else, I hope this review helps turn a private loss into public wisdom for the next homeowner navigating this process.
