We first met Pat and Michael on their wedding anniversary and they canceled their plans to take my mom in their lovely home the same day. They provided snacks and healthy home cooked meals, activities to help keep my mom and other residents engaged, and top notch care around the clock. Pat & Michael rented a van over Christmas and took my mom out to see the pretty lights. They celebrated her birthday with flowers, presents and decorated their house. During a hurricane warning, they invited my dad to come stay with them. My family and I were always welcome to visit and stay however long we wanted. They regularly sent us pictures and texts to let us know how my mom was doing, which was really sweet. Being in a private, loving home is so much more welcoming than a sterile facility. Towards the end of my moms life, Pat was feeding my mom every meal and trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. They treated my mom and family with kindness and respect, and we are forever grateful. I can't say enough great things about Pat's Serenity Home Care. Visiting Angels Ocala (VAO) has been providing continuing outstanding and compassionate service for…read moreour 94-year old dad since the first week of March 2020. The entire operation and everyone involved has been professional and focused on providing the best care possible. Dad experienced some medical problems (completely unrelated to the care provided by Visiting Angels) after a year into the VAO care program which resulted in changes to his living arrangements. VAO was understanding, cooperative, flexible, helpful and supportive in making adjustments to Dad's care program. It has now been nearly 18-months since VAO began providing services. We have never had a problem with billings, services, care-givers, or compliance with the scope of services provided by VAO and the outstanding staff. Dad has been cared for by one person for the overwhelming majority of time - but there has been a limited number of days when other caregivers were required to fill-in (due to illness, doctor visits, family emergencies, etc) for Dad's primary caregiver. The "substitute" caregivers were each well informed of Dad's condition/personality before arriving and each provided good, friendly, quality support that was welcomed by Dad. If you're ever in need of a reliable home health care service to provide care, companionship, light housekeeping services, assisting with meal preparation and clean-up, personal hygiene and grooming support, and a compassionate friend to help care for a loved one, I would certainly strongly recommend VAO. I have the pleasure of speaking with and dealing with Veronica, she jumped into play and organized a game plan to assist with our parents. Veronica is on top of her game, she right away called our Mom's Doctor to find out her medications and Doctor appointments. Veronica set her up with a Caregiver right away and started on Wednesday. Dr Darla Broderick-Breit, is my Mom's primary care physician who regularly visits us and takes amazing care of Mom! From recommending vitamins (not just prescriptions!) to demonstrating stretching exercises (she actually got down on our floor to show us!) that can help relieve Mom's hip pain, she goes above and beyond in her care. She actually listens to her patients; providing both compassion and tough love (truth) as needed. My Mom and I are impressed with her intelligence, experience, quick wit and dedication to her professional calling. Thank you MPS for always sending us good, caring providers! Mine was Dr Payne. This woman takes a much more conservative view on prescribing medication than any other doctor I've ever encountered, and stated that many doctors "do things they shouldn't." She even gratuitously criticized my board certified allergist for allowing a nurse to provide my allergy injections at my home. I had to leave this practice and go elsewhere to get the medication I need and always received from other doctors.

However, a huge cockroach scurried across my room one evening. I was disgusted. I took a picture of it and the next morning went to discuss with management. Diane was in the office and I told her the problem. She was dismissive and replied, "Well it's Florida." Well my mom lives here and she doesn't need to be living in a cockroach infested place. Maybe Diane could practice some professionalism as well.
