My daugter has just been invoiced for over £100 after 8 months at Trinity Point, I checked her room when she left and it was as clean and tidy as when she moved in, there was not any damage what so ever. We had heard that previous students (it appears all) had been stung for damages upon leaving Trinity Point. The students are charged £104 a week to live in the accommodation, then when they leave they are invoiced huge amounts for normal wear and tear, for example steam clean carpets because they have been walked on, repaint walls for marks that can be wiped off (unsually one small mark per wall), mould in bathrooms the list goes on and on, these are things that would happen in your own home. While I support that actual damage should be paid for, this unfair practice has to stop, they cannot be allowed to take advantage of students in this manner. I urge anyone who has recieved an invoice for damage that they feel is unfair, to question it and if you are still unhappy make a formal complaint. Don't allow next years students to be treated like they have previous student, make a stand. read more
