I can honestly say the reason why I came in this time is because I had already been to Lowe's and Home Depot and neither place had what I needed. I was specifically looking for a smooth piece of non-vented soffit hardi-plank for my house. Neither of the big box retailers carried what I needed nor did their employees have the knowledge to even know what I was looking for. That's when I remembered McCoy's. It is conveniently located on Hwy 3 just north of 96. Unfortunately, it was Saturday at 6:15pm and they close at 5:30 on Saturday. So, bright and early on Monday morning, I trotted over to McCoy's and was promptly greeted by knowledgable employees that knew exactly what I needed. They took me into their lumber yard and showed it to me so I could match it the sample piece I brought with me. It matched perfectly. I purchased it and called my son to come pick it up. They held my lumber/loading receipt for me until my son got there so he could pick it up in my truck. I received knowledgable, friendly, and excellent customer service from these folks. I can't really give you a price comparison to the big box stores because they did not have what I needed. In my opinion, I paid a fair price for what I purchased. I will shop here again. Coming here will also keep me from fighting the crowds at Lowe's and Home Depot as well as the general area around FM 646 that also include extra traffic from Target, Wal-Mart, Whataburger, and Chick-Fil-A. It's a win/win for me. I guess the only negative would be that their hours are shorter than the big box places but if I plan accordingly that shouldn't be a problem. It doesn't stop there. They are also a great place to buy metal and metal supplies including flat bar, rectangular tubing, and square tubing. They also have several metal pieces that are available to help customize your metal fencing. They also have gates, electric gate openers, and gate latches that meet various codes for pool owners. If fencing is not what you're looking for, you may consider going To them if you need any dog kennel supplies, septic tanks, trailer axles, trailers, and hitches to pull your trailer. They do keep B&W hitches in stock. If you like hidden hitches, try looking here. They also have culverts and live animal traps. As you can see, they have a plethora of items that you may use around your house. Consider going here if you cannot find what you were looking for at your big box retailer. Most of the time, I will try here first instead of a big box retailers. I find the quality of their items to be better and their prices competitive. Bottom line - As I mentioned above, they have a plethora of fencing and fencing related items. They also have a plethora of other items. If you are looking for high-quality items at a fair and competitive price, give them a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Gwen was very helpful and patient with me, it took me about 3 or 4 months to decide. Received the material in a reasonable amount of time. As far as price goes, I cannot speak to that because I did not shop around to compare. Service overall was average, did not feel the same fuzzy feeling with other staff as I did with Gwen. Im soley giving this 5 star rating because of Gwen, she had very good customer service, called me every once in awhile to follow up but was not over-bearing, but when she was not there, I didnt get the same level of service.
