Definitely do your price checking before going to the big stores (I.e. Lowes and Home Depot). I have found some items to be cheaper here.

Finally!!!! A hardware store on the west side of League City. It's been a long time coming!!!!…read more Located on the southeast corner of Hobbs and League City Parkway (Hwy 96), this Ace Hardware is a huge plus to those of us who live west of the Gulf Freeway. I've utilized them a few times now. The staff has been extremely helpful. They know the whole store, not just the department. They aren't experts in everything DIY but I've found them to be more than willing to help or at least try to figure it out. The owners are on-sight most of the time and are extremely friendly. Like any Ace Hardware, some items are slightly more expensive than Lowe's and Home Depot. However, they also have things that those stores don't have, like loose nuts and bolts for instance. Honestly, is there anything more annoying than having to buy pre-packaged nuts and bolts? The project I was doing today required 4 bolts, nuts, and fender washers. I went to Ace and bought 4 bolts, nuts, and washers. I wasn't forced to buy packs that are pre-packaged with numbers that NEVER align. There's always 6 bolts, 4 nuts, and 7 washers. Its like buying hot dogs and buns...the numbers never match. Anyway, I digress. I love being able to buy exactly what I need in the exact count I want. Plus, I got a great deal on some sunflower seeds for my bird feeders. I got a 25lb bag on sale for $9.99. They are also an authorized dealer for Big Green Egg and Traeger Grills. This is important because the only other dealer for BGE in League City recently closed. As far as power tools go, they carry Craftsman, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Stihl. They carry Benjamin Moore paint and other brands. They have almost everything you need at a hardware store minus a bunch of lumber, fencing, and building/roofing materials. If you need that, don't come here. Bottom line - They have almost everything you need for the DIY projects that you have going around the house. Conveniently located and extremely helpful. I am very glad they are now in the neighborhood.

She tells me to order it online and then have it shipped to the store. You have this battery in stock. Your sale price before Friday is $199. Yet, I can't buy it there at the store. You're going to make me buy it online and have it shipped to the store today to then pick it up later? Yet, you have it in stock at your store. Are you insane!? She calls for a manager and not any show up. This must be the worst Lowes in history of League City, but probably not the only one. This store is Horrible for us customers. When will you be hiring smart people to understand that your sales ad is just that. Why do you have sales online if you're not going to honor that price in the store?? She was trying to up charge me for the instore price of $329 per battery. Needless to say I took my business to Ace Hardware in League City. They seem to be more knowledge and less idiotic in their thinking.

Another fail on the part of Lowe's where an employee didn't inform us of all the details and parts…read moreneeded when he was helping us buy the Kobalt Industrial Shelving system currently on clearance Thankfully when we discovered the problem I was able to speak with Ethen, around 5:15 pm on the 8th April. Ethen listened to my frustration, then proceeded to resolve the issue by confirming the parts I needed were in stock after he checked the part number and assured it was the right one for the system we had. He proceeded to arrange for the correct number of parts to be placed behind self checkout with my name on the label. Were it not for Ethen the manager and I would have had another difficult conversation about customer service and the lack thereof. However this is absolutely a Lowe's corporate problem. It's allowing customer service to suffer at the cost of paying employees a wage that would encourage the staff we need to have in the building. It manages clearances at the ultimate end of caveat emptor; setting stores up with different colored price tags on the rack without explaining which colors identity something being regular priced, sale prices or clearance priced. There isn't any clear marking on things that are on clearance and not to be restocked. Lowes therefore needs to step up its transparency in sell price standards as well as pay its staff an equitable amount. Otherwise we customers will go elsewhere. There is nothing Lowes doesn't sell that we can't get at a competitor or on Amazon.

Do not purchase Lowes Appliances! DO NOT USE XDT Delivery Services…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Lowe's Easton. As a loyal customer who's purchased over 20 appliances from your store, I've generally had okay customer service. However, my recent experience with the appliance center has been unacceptable. We purchased a standard range 3-4 months ago and were told that we had to arrange our own delivery. We picked it up without issue. Fast forward to November 25, we received a refrigerator with a non-working ice maker. The store was nice enough to request a replacement, which arrived on December 5. However, the delivery team from DTS was rude and condescending. When they delivered the replacement fridge, they left without completing the installation, leaving the plastic on and handles unattached. The customer service team from DTS called me, disconnected the call twice, and then offered to send someone out on December 11 to finish the job, which I found unacceptable. They then said to go through Lowe's for resolution while Lowe's was on speaker phone with me. I contacted Lowe's, and the manager, Josh, told me that there's nothing they can do, citing that the sale was finalized with the Warehouse, not the store. He refused to offer a credit for the inconvenience or take back the fridge. I was shocked that he seemed to brush off my concerns, stating that he's had numerous customers with similar issues. I then called Lowe's customer service at 1-800-445-6937 and requested to speak with the Columbus district manager. The agent started a case, but her manager refused to help, and I was told that there's no other manager available to call me back. When I asked about the "deliver and set up" service, she claimed it was just a courtesy and not a standard practice. To make matters worse, I was put on hold for over 10 minutes and then hung up on. I have video evidence of all my interactions, and it's clear that I'm not being heard. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service and would like someone to address these issues and provide a resolution. I'm requesting that Lowe's takes responsibility for the poor service, provides a credit for the inconvenience, and ensures that their delivery teams are properly trained to complete installations correctly. Update: I called Lowe's customer service again at 1-800-445-6937, and it seems like they were more interested in closing shop at 7:00 pm than addressing my issue. The agent seemed to pretend I wasn't on the phone, effectively hanging up on me without resolving anything. This is unacceptable, especially since I've been waiting for a callback. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the lack of service and concern shown by Lowe's customer service team. Update: Lowes Customer Service stated the delivery fee includes just the delivery they information from the website and sales person's in the story is a courtesy and not required! Delivery Includes: Basic installation (only available in select markets) Connection of appliance to existing water source and ice maker or ice and water dispenser connections (if applicable) Unboxing and inspection of your appliance; confirmation of make and model Inspection of the appliance for visible damage (excludes appliances purchased in Lowe's Outlet locations) Removal of packaging from your home Removal of your existing refrigerator if haul away is purchased (customers must uninstall, empty and defrost product prior to haul away) Level and test of the appliance to ensure it's connected properly Connection of anti-tip bracket, if included Basic product demonstration and testing of the appliance to ensure proper connection Relocation of an old freestanding appliance within the same residence (reconnection not included)
