Dropped a lot of satisfaction points because the massage quality was very low. My masseuse left me very very bruised (I asked for a "somewhat firm" massage but not a deep tissue) and my husband's really didn't know how to do a scalp massage and he said she mainly just scratched around on his head. Had a terrible experience from the beginning. Initially I had booked a massage and facial and was excited for a full day of pampering. I was then notified that they had to change my booked masseuse with someone else due to personal reasons. I was ok with the change (I had no choice). The masseuse I had in the end was fine. They instructed me to wait outside after my massage for my facial and no one ever came. I had to walk downstairs 20 minutes later, in my robe to ask what the problem was. Apparently they cancelled my facial with out letting me know and they weren't sure why it was cancelled (Someone from their office cancelled). All they could tell me was that they were very sorry and that they would have to reschedule my facial. Although they tried to fix the issue and I appreciate it, I was looking forward to having a full spa day to myself. It didn't really fix the problem as the point was to have both services on the same day. I do not plan to come back after I receive my upcoming facial. read more

I came here to treat myself while on a business trip and wow! I got the 50 minute massage and was not disappointed. My only regrets were that I didn't book a facial and I wish I could have stayed longer. Make sure you pay for several hours on the parking meter because you will not want to leave! Staff was super friendly and everything was very clean. The perfect spot to relax and unwind. I do suggest bringing a makeup wipe and your makeup basics for when you finish. This is specifically for brows. Every massage I've received I would rate 5stars. There is usually really great customer service her but today since I came in for "just brows" I was asked if this was my only service a few times including when I was about to get my brows done. We went over my concerns about growing my eyebrows out and making sure to keep the shape without going to thin. And during the waxing she asked me "what's your nationality"? I told her American. Then she asked what's my parent's nationality was. I told her they were also born here, but if you want to know my ethnicity it's...I think she could tell I did not appreciate the question because then she said I usually ask in case it affects the texture of the hair on my brows. Umm I've never been asked that before. They ended up a little thin. She explained why and I completely understood but still felt off about the experience. Especially the "nationality question"Only because she said we would start and she would check in Incase she had to go too thin. I came here for my niece's bachelorette and I had a wonderful experience! The attention and service was spectacular. From the moment I walked in until I left I left very pampered. We had a section reserved upstairs outside for our party which was about 10 of us. We were able to bring our own desserts and they had wine, cheese & crackers. This is how the experience went: 1. First arrive give them your name for your reservation 2. You are then given a tour of the locker room which they have a sauna & showers it super relaxing 3. You change into your robe and go outside to relax until it's time to meet with your mesuese. 4. 5 min before your appointment you wait in a mini lounge and your mesuese will call your name, greet you and escort you to your message room 5. The majority of my party received a scrub but I HIGHLY recommend LEHUA HONEY! I did the full which is 50 min. And I wish I would have done the deluxe. For this treatment the room is actually in the locker room. Your will be scrubbed & lathered and washed with gentle water. You will have to be naked for this, however you will have a towel to cover your lady parts. I was a little concerned about this but my mesuese was very respectful and gave me privacy. 6. My mesuese was Wendy she was super nice. The only negative thing I must say is she was talking the entire time and I felt like I couldn't relax and zone out. SO IMPRESSED! Wow- First time at Trilogy Spa and they have scored themselves a life long customer. From the phone reservation, to the moment we walked in, the staff at Trilogy ensured that I had an amazing and relaxing experience. The entire Trilogy facility is absolutely beautiful, the bathrooms are clean, the outdoor patio is gorgeous, and not a single detail is over looked. We brought a bottle of champagne, veggies, hummus, and salsa to snack on after our massages- the lovely gal at the front desk stored them in the fridge for us so we didn't have to worry about them getting hot while we enjoyed our services. The receptionist lead us to our locker rooms- where you'll find your robes and sandals to slide into along with large baths for soaking, rain showers, saunas, and complementary sugar scrub! After we changed and dropped off our stuff at the lockers, my boyfriend and I snacked on the complementary sliced fruit, drank their delicious spa water, and lounged on the day beds until our Masseuses came to retrieve us. My Massage was the best I have ever had! I got the Full Trilogy Massage (the most "basic" one they offer) and it was heavenly. I am typing this review the day after my time at Trilogy and my problem areas feel so much better, like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My boyfriend received the Deep Tissue Sports Massage along with a scalp hot oil treatment. He absolutely loved his experience and said that the Scalp massage was possibly his favorite part! After my massage I enjoyed the complementary sugar scrub in their luxurious rain shower and then relaxed in the wooden sauna to dry off. All in all it was my favorite spa experience EVER! This was supposed to be a relaxing appt right? Nope, not with the last minute info about how my appt had to be changed, wait, no it didn't, oh no that's not right, yes it did, and so on. So I'm the end I only had a minute to run upstairs and change into the robe. So fast forward to my payment at the front desk where one of the girls had a major attitude. Not that this set of employees even knew about the appt debacle (the previous 'shift' had already left). No, this was more about the 'I'm too cool to even begin to help take your payment.'Wow, I thought you were in a service role? Note to management - maybe check how things are going at the front desk before you lose additional customers. Update: I received a call from both the spa owner and director, both apologizing for the experience with a very generous offer to compensate for the experience. Checked in 15 minutes early to my appt. 5 minutes after start time was supposed to occur, I checked in with front desk, and was told my therapist was going to come get me shortly. Another 10 minutes go by, I check in with front desk, and I'm told my therapist had an emergency and they were figuring out how to rectify the problem. 10 minutes after that, I'm told they could either comp a 25 minute massage or I'd need to reschedule completely. Annoying that the therapist cancelled so last minute - I understand emergencies occur - but customers are required to provide 24-hour cancellation notice, otherwise I get charged. Plus the front desk could've let me know about the issue when I checked in, versus me having to wait a total of nearly 45 minutes to get a final answer. read more

I spent a beautiful and relaxing afternoon at Trilogy Spa :) My friend Jasmine from Zenka Nails is so sweet and left a gift certificate for me for a 50 minute full body massage...and I am so appreciative because tranquility is exactly what I needed. My massage appointment was at 4pm but when the receptionist called to confirm my appointment she advised that I arrive early to enjoy the spa amenities...so, I did just that. I arrived at 3:15p and was greeted by the lovely Nicole who gave me a tour of the spa. She took me up the stairs and to the waiting area then showed me the ladies locker/spa room...very impressive! The halls that led to different rooms were low lit with candles along the side of the floor, rocks/pebbles, and all was quiet...I was pleased. As she walked me into the ladies room I honestly thought it was going to be bathroom stalls with some lockers...I was so wrong. It was a little slice of heaven...bathroom stalls, showers, bath tubs, sauna, lockers, robes, towels, sandals, toiletries, hair dryer, and a peaceful environment. Made me wish I had arrived even earlier. I undressed, changed into my robe, sat in the sauna for 15 minutes, and walked out a few minutes before 4pm to the waiting area. The waiting area is small, with some couch seating, a beautiful aquarium, magazines, fruit, water, and tea. There is a big outside lounge area that is perfect for a summer day because the ocean in nearby but I decided to stay warm inside. I sipped on some tea with honey and relaxed for a bit before the masseuse arrived. The masseuse, Ana, is very sweet and kind...I was extremely grateful to meet her! She was all smiles and spoke in a calming way that made me feel completely at ease. She asked me what area she should concentrate on the most and how much pressure I wanted. She massaged every limb of my body from my scalp to my pinky toe...I loved it! After the massage was over she walked me back to the ladies locker room and I just wanted to hug her, I felt completely relaxed. The spa offers a free body scrub in the ladies room so I decided to take a shower. I was basically by myself with the exception of the maid. I was going to ask her to draw me a bath but I did have to get going...next time! Overall, it was an amazing experience! The staff was awesome, the amenities were great, and the massage was wonderful. With most awful reviews you think that people are bitter because of substandard treatment. Unfortunately this is the case with this review. The treatments were good, the atmosphere fine, not much of a spa, just a shower, non private bathtubs (a bit weird), and a sauna. In short, they overcharged me, claiming I had a deluxe massage when I had booked and confirmed a regular massage. They refused to admit their mistake and charged me for the deluxe! On top of that, the massage was not even with the therapist I had requested upon booking!! Had I not been so relaxed I'd have happily told them to go F*** themselves. In fact, I wish I had. Their ineptitude and poor customer service has put me off this place for good. Oh. Maybe I am bitter. But you can probably see why. read more

I am a big workout obsessed gal that gets extremely sore from time to time and at times I can be in so much pain from an improper move that I become immobile. Sean's technique is so unique that you'll never experience anything like it ever again in your life. I highly recommend him if you're an athlete. Nothing compares to a detailed, specific, precise massage with all the excruciating groaning I mean growing pains. Haha. I've lived in Manhattan Beach for over 2 years and have tried many spas in the area and in southern California, and this remains my favorite. It' offers all the excellent services of a luxury spa without the pretentious attitude that can come with them. The menu of services is elaborate and I've tried many of their facials and massages with great success. The rooftop area is a fantastic way to unwind pre and post services in addition to the complementary body scrub you can use during a shower. My favorite part of this spa... LUIS. Luis is hands down the best masseuse I've ever had. Hes extremely proud of what he does and makes sure you are completely satisfied with your massage. When I was pregnant, I continued to see Luis, who offered an incredible modified prenatal service. Unlike many other prenatal massages, he actually really worked on areas with pressure and ease. I believe I survived a lot of my back pain thanks to Luis's excellent care. Luis is incredible for all types, my husband also books with Luis to ensure the best massage! read more

I'm really disappointed that this was my rating. So many great reviews and yet, it was just not great, at all. The facilities themselves are small and dated. Everything was clean but there was a lingering smell of staleness. The amenities are not really worth spending time on. There are two tubs that look like nobody has touched and then the showers and bathrooms and the waiting area. The patio was closed due to rain but the waiting area inside is so cramped. Plus, the robes and slippers were all dingy. The actual massage I got was from Ted. He was a new guy and it was ok. But this was the first massage I got where I didn't feel like I could fall asleep in a second. My eyebrow lady was fast but it was just a cleaning and not really a shaping. She missed more than a few hairs after I got home to take a longer look. I would say for the prices they charge, it is not worth it. It's not even close to worth it. For more value, probably stick with an Asian massage place that is charging a fraction of what they are charging. I have gotten a better eyebrow wax from a regular nail place. read more

She has worked with physical therapists - and I could tell bc she seemed to know all the problem areas without me telling her. I had recently gotten back from traveling with my kids and needless to say, I *needed* some mommy time as my neck & back , whole body really felt "crunchy". She even figured out I was a runner and skillfully worked on all em tight muscles- especially calves, quads & IT band. She asked me how i felt at the end of the session , and I told her "I need to uber it home" and crawl into bed :) 4 stars for facilities - women's bathroom needs more facial lotions, shampoo & conditioner for bath tubs, toiletries overall needs to be updated but still very nice and clean . Steam room would be nice. I like the soaking tub with sugar scrub. Cucumber compress is nice too for the over travelled eyes. Can't wait for my next massage at trilogy! read more

Overall, I had a positive experience but their facility was underwhelming. I tried the trilogy facial. I would say the facial itself was 4 starts but the facilities had less amenities than my gym. I had a wonderful experience here today. I would recommend parking in the structure (on the top) so you don't have to worry about any time constraints. You check in the lobby and since it was my first time, someone from the front desk took the time to explain the amenities and walked me through them. There is a waterfall shower, regular showers and tubs you can use before and after your treatment. They offer robes, towels and sandals for your use and you can use the area with a bathing suit or without, depending on preference. There is also a relaxation area (inside) and a rooftop deck (outside) depending on where you want to wait for your therapist. Yes, it's small, but you have to take into consideration that you're visiting a spa in a small beach town. Everything is condensed. I got a prenatal massage and the therapist asked if there were any pain spots before I was on the table. She went the entire 50 minutes and checked for the right amount of pressure at the right times. My massage was quiet except for when she needed to give me directions which was exactly what I wanted. Next, I got a pumpkin facial. This therapist was a little more talkative but the atmosphere was a little different. She asked if I wanted her to do any pore extraction and I said yes, so just be prepared for a little redness if you have sensitive skin like me. No pain, though. Afterwards, you can continue to use the spa amenities or check out down in the lobby. I had a gift certificate, which was easy to use. Gratuity is accepted by cash or check only, so be prepared for that. I look forward to my next visit. read more

I enjoyed my prenatal massage, but at 145 dollars for 80 minutes, not including tip, I think it was far too expensive. I have had prenatal massages at Several world class spas, and I was least impressed with Trilogy in terms of value per dollar. I have no problem paying higher prices for a superior luxurious spa experience, but unfortunately this was not the case. I would have more comfortable with the price if the spa itself were more spacious and if there were other amenities such as a whirlpool tub, steam room, or a more luxurious indoor waiting area. In addition, the maximum parking allowance at the meter is 3 hours, so even if you wanted to spend the afternoon at the spa relaxing before or after a treatment, you really can't stay that long. read more

Back to the spa employees - I had received a gift certificate that included a 90 minute massage which included tip. So all I had to do was go get mine and be out. Life should be so easy. It was a whole production trying to explain that it was all covered. Even though the gift certificate was staring them plain as day in the face. They were so confused. Then they go on to say that tip is not included in this certificate. So after a relaxing massage, I had to dispute this which totally took me out of my zen-like state. They apologize and say - we would like to invite her back ..to which my friend says - I doubt she wants to go back from the experience she had. So I'm still disgruntled because after my friend makes a call, they start to be accommodating? After I leave? I was there in the flesh - arguing this to no avail, but they wouldn't budge. So they call me to apologize (leaves a voicemail) - asking is there anything they can do and sorry for the confusion - blah blah blah. They would like to invite me back for a discount. Discount?? They can go on home with their discount. I call back - hear the apology - real time. And they offer to credit back my card the $60 I paid for tip - which they did. I won't ever go back though. Arrived here on Sunday for my birthday and the hostess was super sweet to us. She was very accommodating and gave us a glass of champagne for my birthday. The restroom was cute with sugar scrub plates, tubs and changing areas. I liked the locker idea with your own personal codes, the steam room felt amazing although I didn't stay in long because I was thinking about my boyfriend wondering if he was doing ok. We slipped into robes and slipper, sat in the sun and relaxed for a bit before our massage. The cabanas were cute but awkward looking at other people in robes lol. It was a bit chilly too at that time. We had a couples massage with Vanessa and Jenni and felt relaxed and enjoyed our time here. I should have gotten us the deep tissue but we chose to try their Swedish first. I asked for hot stones when I called for our appointment but they only gave the hot stones to me I didn't know my boyfriend did not get it until the end but we didn't make a big fuss about it. At the end they gifted me a sugar scrub and 10% off for my birthday which was really sweet. I knocked off one star because I wanted to tip out ladies and couldn't using my card.
