Practical Defense Systems' 16-hour CCW course is hands down one of the best classes you can spend…read moreyour hard-earned money on, especially in this economy. I would 10/10 recommend it to all my family members before they begin carrying. I have been carrying a firearm overtly for over 16 years and concealed for nearly nine years. During that time, I've taken numerous tactical shooting courses ranging from low to medium speed and drag. Going into this class, I initially thought a 16-hour California CCW course would be a waste of my time and money. However, Joel and Dave's expert knowledge, experience, and the overall flow of the course quickly changed my perspective. The material was well presented, practical, and highly relevant. The significant amount of simulator time was especially valuable and helped reinforce real-world decision-making. I'm very glad I took their course and definitely feel better equipped to carry concealed in the Wild West that is California. Thanks, gentlemen -- I look forward to taking more courses in the future.

Joe made sure we weren't sitting in a classroom being bored with reading and presentations. We got hands on practical training and situational training. I was intimated being the only woman in a room of men, but Joe continued to help me feel comfortable in my own abilities despite anyone else in the room. He has other courses and training which are valuable to anyone that own a firearm or looking to own one.

After the class I and immediately went to his website. I ordered a shirt, and it is a great quality shirt. He actually threw in a beanie as well. I am picky about beanies, and it is amazing. 120% recommended.

I recently attended the EDC + Vehicle Level 1 course and found it to be highly worthwhile. This…read morecourse effectively combines critical skills for everyday carry with practical vehicle-based scenarios. From the outset, the focus on accuracy when drawing and shooting from concealment was essential, and the smooth progression to incorporating speed felt natural and intuitive. The instruction on shooting from various seated positions, including both the driver's side and passenger's side, was incredibly valuable--especially learning how to shoot effectively toward your strong hand side as well as across your body to the opposite side. It was great to have the opportunity to practice these techniques in a controlled environment and a great instructor. You can dry fire all day, but there's nothing like getting out and being able to train and learn these techniques with live fire. The sounds and adrenaline are very different from dry firing or simply shooting down a lane, making the experience much more realistic and beneficial. The drills, which included both individual and team exercises, were engaging and enhanced our interaction. Egos, if any, were left at the gate and Lee's teaching style stood out--his approach made the class enjoyable and interactive while ensuring that even those with minimal experience (me), as well as veterans with over a decade of shooting (including competition shooters), walked away having gained new insights. I highly recommend this course for shooters at any level. Even if you excel in competitions, this course prepares you for the unpredictability of real-life situations, equipping you with the skills needed for those critical moments. Thanks Lee!

His sense of humor helped ease any nerves, and he created a comfortable environment to ask questions and learn. He broke down safety fundamentals in a way that was easy to understand and made sure everyone felt confident handling a firearm by the end of the class. I walked away feeling much more informed and prepared. Highly recommend this class for anyone new to handguns or looking to build a solid foundation in safety and handling

DO NOT purchase firearms from this store! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at PWG Gun…read moreRange. I purchased a shotgun through their website based on the advertised price and availability, only to discover afterward that the pricing was incorrect and the firearm was not actually available as represented. Feels like a SCAM to get you trapped into purchasing from them only, because you can't ask for a refund, they force you to get in store credit. I went into the store to ask for an update and instead of honoring the advertised price or providing a full refund, I was told that due to a "new website" and "new purchasing system," they could only offer in-store credit. From a customer's perspective, that explanation is not acceptable. Businesses are responsible for ensuring that their advertised pricing and inventory information are accurate. Customers should not be expected to bear the consequences of internal system issues. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I wanted to give you guys a second chance. I canceled my online order, took the in-store credit, ended up paying more money and tried to get a shotgun that was ordered in store from "their warehouse/supplier." I have been waiting more than two weeks for any meaningful update regarding my order. At the store, I was told by their retail worker Carson that it would be ordered without too long of a wait. After two weeks wait, I called in to check and was informed that the firearm is considered a special order and must first be ordered from a supplier, despite the website indicating a delivery timeframe of only 4-5 days and showing available in warehouse as I checked on their website (removed now after I told them about this issue, see attached photos). I have attached other prices that were listed on their website as well. This is false advertising/misleading prices to gain in store credit customers. The repeated explanation has been that their new processing and computer system prevents them from providing updates. Had I known that the firearm was not actually in stock and that there was no reliable timeline for delivery, I would not have made the purchase. Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't have these issues. I wanted to go to a place closer to home and give you guys a try, but I regret that now. Taking payment for a product advertised at an incorrect price, offering only store credit instead of a refund, and being unable to provide order status information for weeks creates a very poor customer experience. At this point, a full refund would be the appropriate resolution. I hope management addresses these issues, improves communication, and ensures that website pricing, inventory status, and delivery estimates accurately reflect reality so future customers do not experience the same problems.
