Staff are easy to talk to and besides being knowledgeable are just cool people. The selection of rentable guns aswell is nice, they have a good range and some have attachments to. Cost the same as most other ranges if you're not looking to rent from what I've seen, same with ammo. read more

I absolutely love coming here the value that you get for each lane is pretty good. They also will rent out the gun for you but luckily I come with a friend that has 32 of them so no need to rent. They are so helpful. The service is wonderful and you have loads of selections when it comes to different guns and they also have lots of classes that you can be a part of so you can be a better shot. Give it five star all around. read more

Best Gun range around. Is a very safe and pleasant environment. The facility is state of the art. The ranges are kept in good maintenance and the ventilation system is fantastic. They offer a wide variety of shooting experiences from pistol, rifle, and a trap range. The staff is amazing! Very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Great for personal training and group events. I've been to most of the ranges in the San Diego area and this is by far my favorite. read more

We have been coming here for 5 years now. Got here right when they opened on a Saturday morning. Everyone was quite chipper to welcome us in and get us our lane quickly. We got an hour bought some targets and ammo, and set off to practice at our favorite shooting range in San Diego. We shot some 9mm, some .223 and even a few 45-70 on Owen's lever action. Safe, respectful, and best value in town. Thank you P2k. I can't wait to blast some pumpkins. read more

Been there a few times and never had an issue getting a range lane. Last weekend 9/6/25 was a nightmare. Brought my son with me who came home from college, checked in and got my buzzer. Guy at counter says it's a 20 minute wait. 45 minutes go by and seeing others that were checking in after us go thru. Asked the desk guy what's our lane status, he said we were next. Others getting lanes again and there were open lanes available after 15 more minutes. I had enough of that crap, so we gave them our buzzer and told them the wait was ridiculous and being passed up was even more infuriating. As we drove to another range, I called them to let them know my unsatisfactory experience and also how we will never give them our business again. Drove straight to Discount Gun Mart and with no appointment, we got a range lane right away. Beware of P2K. read more

Purchased 2 firearms but the state refused my license request so I had to cancel my purchase. These 2 items came from their display area. I paid $1106.00 they refunded back to $867.00. So they keeped $267.00 as a restocking charge, wouldn't budge at all, or even store credit, ridiculous re-stocking fee. I will not be returning ever, nor will my family and friends. read more

Great place to shoot. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Safe and relatively cheap. Still need to try trap shooting. Ton of weapons to choose from and rentals are very affordable. Only con is that the place is hot! If it is at least a moderately warm day (and when is it not in San Diego) you will sweat... read more

This is the best range in San Diego county. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great selection of firearms, ammo and reloading supplies. There is a members only range and an outdoor shotgun range. Yes you can shoot black powder here as well. Just a great place for both new and experienced shooters. Lots of great rentals for you to try out as well! read more

Highly recommend checking out P2K's range. Didn't have any issues while at this range & using one of P2K's Glock 17, 3rd Gen. & the 9mm (Winchester) ammo that they supplied. The perfect Father's Day gift "A adrenaline rush!" Lol. Go & check it out for yourself. Promise, you won't be disappointed! Happy Hunting! read more

Excellent first time going to a shooting range... I'm learning about guns, so this is new for me This place is nestled in the hills of East County... Ample parking Beautiful location Seating outside with benches Inside was greeted by friendly staff and they showed ne and my son the ropes... I was nervous because I had to take a firearms safety test before I could even begin... But I got a 100% yay me... pretty good I'd say but it took me like almost an hour to take... EMBARRASSING yes I know but I really like to learn what I am about to do... Got set up with ear protection and bought some ammo for my two handguns 40cal Glock and 9ml Anyways the staff was helpful with guiding me with my son. We are excited to go back.... read more

Had an awful experience yesterday. A young male employee was working with some young women and wanted to impress them. I was taking my rifle across the room to put in into the case, It was unloaded with the breach locked open. He grabbed it from my hands and threw it onto the concrete floor damaging the front sights. He claimed I had pointed it in his direction. I will never go back. read more

I write a 3 not because of their customer service but for people's safety shooting here. Last time I attended not once did someone come in and make sure people were shooting correctly. There was a group of gun rental user who do not know the first thing about safety. I witnessed multiple moments that could have ended badly with these rental users waving loaded weapons in peoples directions. Their customer service is A1! They have a great selection of firearms. Awesome owner but renters need to have supervision. And even everyday gun users sometimes. The lanes just need more supervision and they will be perfect. read more

P2K Sports - Lane 16 - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - El Cajon, California

One of the best shooting ranges in San Diego! Indoor and outdoor ranges in one location. I also love their protocol for using the range.

I was not impressed having shot in several other ranges in San Diego. It's not easy to get to and not how I presided it from the ads. I found the range as old and hangared in need of a face lift. The equipment was 1950 technology and very messy. In front of the range was a pile of brass and paper targets, I guess they don't own a shovel. The only good thing was the YouTube SD Gun Guy was there and had a nice cordial conversation. I don't think I will ever return read more

This place is a joke. I purchased a membership from P2k on 7/21/2020. I am pleading with you Do NOT get a membership here! Customer service is non existent the employees need communication classes. They give off a negative vibe, it is weird cocky for no reason. Like relax bro this is just a range. I regret buying this crappy membership. Lanes are humid and zero air flow like damn I feel like I am back in Iraq in a tent. HOT. AND STINK. This business does not use any applictions or even a membership website sign in so god forgive you accidently leave your Super High speed P2k Membership card at home. They cannot look you up in any form phone number, name, method of payment, email. No you need your ID card. Also I am not talking about the Range safety card I am talking about the membership card that you pay 75$ to 200$ for. Lmao I talked with the owner she explained to me that they would not be willing to change any policy to help the client / customer basically she refused to take any advice on how to make the business more friendly to clients. Policy is policy. Not open to any form of feedback. Keep in mind I was extremely respectful; however, blowin away by lack of compassion for customers. On multiple occaisons I have shown up and they have zero range ammo for members. Partly due to Covid right. Yes, when you call to schedule a visit if you don't specifically ask if they have the ammo you need or any ammo for that matter they wont tell you. Like it only takes a couple of seconds to say FYI we have no 9mm today. Pretty sImple right. Driving up to the range is all messed up. Overpriced ice cream for the fatties. Lanes are lanes literally nothing special. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Indoor range vs outdoor range right? My niece was visiting from Brisbane, Queensland and she wanted to go shooting. She had shot a few firearms before whilst visiting Hawaii and she throughly enjoyed and wanted to try it again. As we all know guns are hard to come by in Australia. What better way to expose her to 2nd ammendment rights and go to the range. We went on a weekday and rented two firearms. I decided to complement the selection by bringing my AR and the short barrel Para ordinance 45. The range is well maintained and of course we had to take the safely course since I had misplaced the card I got last timr. P2K valued safety so everyone had to take the course. The targets are easy to setup and the 25 max distance it just right for beginners since you can set the targets as close as five yards. Tip for would be shooters is that when you rent forearms from P2K you have you purchase have their ammo. This is understandable since P2K wants to make sure that you are using good ammo. The staff are very friendly and are willing and ready to answer all your questions. Overall we had a blast and my niece has an experience she can take back home... punching paper targets with bullets. It is almost therapeutic. read more

The range is good and well lit. The people are nice enough except when we checked out and asked if they did military discount he asked if we were active duty and said no retired and he said, "The discount is for those doing the fighting and not the ones who ran away!" Uh, my buddy and I both did over 20 years, no running away and such a shitty thing to say. Most likely gonna take my business elsewhere!! read more

I've driven by this place a million times without stopping (we live on the other side of the hill). My youngest son was in town and I decided to take him to P2K on a weekday afternoon for a little target shooting. Very glad we did. The parking lot is very spacious and had no problem finding a spot for my Tahoe. There were some people outside shooting trap and we watched that for a while. Then we went in to check out the range. Very clean operation with lots of products to choose from and plenty of friendly and helpful staff to help out. We took the test to get our ID cards -- no problem. Bought some ammo and a couple targets and hit the 25-yard range with my rifle. Long story short, we had a blast -- it was all good. A solid 5 stars. I'll be back... read more

Driving up the dirt road I was a bit sketched out about what type of range this was. My friends reassured me it was quite nice and they were very correct! First time at the range? You will have to take a Safety Quiz (open book so no need to study, plus it's mostly common sense knowledge). They present you with a nice orange paper card which you will need to present each visit, unless you want to re-take the quiz. The lanes fill up fast and waits can be a b*tch from what I have heard, so get there during the week or early on the weekend to minimize wait times. Upon checking in you will receive a restaurant style coaster beeper which will buzz when it's your turn, very nice organizational idea! The staff was nice, although not sure how they treat newbies or how knowledgable they are... I had my own stuff with me as did my friends so all we needed them for was to check us in/out and give us a lane :) The facility is very clean. Middle level fancy, as far as ranges are concerned. Prices are comparable to others in town for targets and lane rental, same with rentals and ammo from what I saw (although like I said, we brought our own). Only downside is that due to the set-up of the two indoor range areas, every 25 minutes everyone at either indoor range station must clear out so that the 100 yard shooters can change out their targets (there is not a wall that separates them from the 25 yard shooters). At least you know safety is a main priority, something that I sometimes question at the other places in town. P2K also offers leagues, classes, and has an outdoor range. If it was not for the far drive, I would definitely make this a more regular place to shoot. read more

My cousin saw a deal on groupon and asked me to come with her to a shooting class. I was very nervous, and was the type of person who would never go near a gun. I was terrified of them! But my cousin gave me no choice, so I went with her. Dennis roman was our instructor. He was very informative and made this day - not so terrifying. I actually learned a lot about shooting, as a sport. After the training we were able to go out to the shooting range. Everything was guided with care, it was very personalized... About 5 to a group. It was a class of about 17 and we rotated in groups of 5 or 6 ... We got to shoot the hand gun, shot gun and now my favorite, the Rifle. The trainers made my first time very comfortable. They walk you through every step, how to load and shoot. It's a very safe environment and the staff is great!! Dennis was very hands on as well, he helped me hit a bullseye with the Rifle!! For someone who was terrified of guns, I would definitely come back to P2K... It was a life changing experience, and I'm glad that my cousin forced me to go. Thank you P2K for making my experience amazing!! You changed my perspective on guns. And I appreciate the quality of the sport. PS - Dennis .. I will never forget who Annie Oakley is! read more

I like this range and staff, lots of options from pistols, shotguns, and rifles. Pricing is reasonable

Pow! Pow! Pow! I've never been more grateful for ear protection than when I entered the range. Even though I was in a short film killing zombies with a P90 (www.city7themovie.com), I had never fired a real gun before, and it had been a while since hubby did some target shooting with the Boy Scouts back in the day. We picked up a Groupon and Robert at P2K got us all squared away with the prerequisite safety test, safety glasses, ear plugs and then with a 9mm glock. After we passed through the safety doors to the range, someone was blasting away with 12 gage shotgun, which made me a little unnerved with each POW! But after a few minutes, I didn't notice it at all as I was shooting zombie targets down the way. Can't believe how fast we each blew through 100 rounds, but we had an exhilarating time! It was a perfect follow-up to our early morning jetski trip at Mission Bay and left us both feeling like action heroes. I've been back 3 times since, and even brought my Dad for a belated Father's Day present. If you're a novice, don't be shy, Robert and the P2K team will take care of you. Knowing how to fire a gun is important. When the zombie apocalypse eventually happens, you'll be thankful you trained with the best at P2K! read more

I came here for a real world shotgun class which lasted about two hours. The head instructor was a special operations military veteran for over two decades, and our co-instructor (female) was an Olympic shooting competitor. A beautiful woman who is an elite level firearms competitor and enthusiast? I fell in love instantly. Both of them were super knowledgable, friendly, and provided top notch instruction. I learned a ton in both the classroom and actual live fire sections. They have similar classes for rifles and pistols, and I would recommend anyone interested in firearms training to take one of these classes. read more

Went in with a party of 8 and it was a blast. Workers knew what they were taking about and had a good rental selection.

We haven't been here since before the pandemic. Today, my family are going to shoot Trap and we did our reservations yesterday. Upon arrival and checking in, I found out that they don't rent out shotgun which I sent an email but they responded that they don't have any due to numerous reasons that were all valid. Then the counter guy named Ken pushed through for us and rented us 2 shotguns. What a great guy, he saved the day for my family to enjoy our sunday. Thank you Ken. read more

I'm really pleased with this range. I've been going to this location for years when I have time. It's very well organized. You do have to take a test to get on the range. If you pass the test and hold on to your card, you never have to take another test. They do have a lot of merchandise for sale: safes, t-shirts (very funny and cute ones), ear protection, glasses, cases etc. Recently, I was working on a project (see below) and was going to the range a lot more than normal because I needed shell casings. The customer service here was great. Everyone who assisted me was nice and pleasant. Susan who might be the manager or owner was very accommodating and sweet. You can see that they really care about their customers. The lanes were always clean. You can bring your own ammo to shoot if you are using your own gun. For promos I believe they have specials during their last hour before close (I would call and verify if the promo is still going) read more
