I had Stephens come out and do a full new roof repair on my house after a storm back in late 2021…read more That said, 2 years later we have water coming through our roof at the valley where the A-frame and flat roof interfere. I called Stephens and they scheduled us for the coming Saturday to pull everything back and allegedly flash in both directions and reseal seems. Whether they did that or not, I am unsure, because they were not at my house long enough for me to finish a shower and come out and talk with them. They were in and out within 30 mins, not nearly long enough for what needed to be done. On top of that, noone even checked in as they were leaving to let me know it was corrected. Not to worry though, 3 weeks later and water is coming through my vent hood 2 feet adjacent at the same valley, this time shooting sparks where the water was dripping down into overhead electrical. So again, we call Stephens. This time they're going to let us wait out the additional 12 hours of rain and then come back Friday. Hopefully they'll fix it right this time and not further bandaid a bad install. I'll update this post if things take a turn, but currently we are unimpressed with what we've always known to be a good name.

Early this morning we heard from the head contractor who had been out of town. He was very upset about the situation. He said that that was not their policy. That they had a requirement that everything be covered before people went home for the day. As a result of the issue, they are intending to compensate us in some fashion. The biggest thing is that the house is covered now. They have almost completed the roof and said they will be back on Monday. On the day of the scheduled service 11:30 came and no service technician or phone call. I called the production manager and he was baffled as to why his employee wasn't at my residence. He called the employee and then informed me the employee had an issue and he wasn't able to come out on that scheduled time. I said I understood and we agreed for him to come out the next day at 7:30am. Once again, on the day of agreed upon service 8:00 came and again no technician. I called the company and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. The employee finally showed up at 8:36am. We discussed what was supposed to be done and he wasn't very clear on what needed to be done and asked me how I wanted it to be fixed. I informed him I know nothing about fixing roofs and told him I would print off a copy of the quote of what was to be fixed. I went to the computer and printed the quote. When I returned outside to give it to the technician, he was gone. He did not tell me anything, and just left. At which time the CEO of the company called me to discuss the issue. I explained to him what had happened and he agreed the production manager should not have given specific times due to the nature of the roofing business. The CEO said he was going to get to the bottom of the matter. When I asked to be compensated for my time and money. He replied they're not a non-profit business. I informed him I wasn't asking for a free service. However, if he understood good customer service, at least ask, "How can we make this right?" Possibly offer 10% off of the cost. By this point I was frustrated with the conversation and attempted to end it. He then tried to explain how he was a 42 / year / old male and he demanded that I showed him respect the same way he showed me respect. I then explained to him how customer service worked. I inquired about a refund of the deposit and I would take my business elsewhere. He states they don't refund the deposit once the work commences. I said fine, do the work and the conversation was over. I ended the phone call at that time. So, by all means if you want a headache, poor customer service, and late/no-show technicians. Then use this company. So disappointed!
