I dropped into Trident insurance on a Saturday morning the glass shop across the street hadn't yet finish up on a project I had brought them.
My dilemma was my RV insurance. My cars, truck and motorcycle are insured with Geico but when I called them on my RV their quote seemed stupid expensive. I met with Tridents owner Dave and if you look up Multi-Tasker in Webster's dictionary you'll see his picture. This guy does 5 things at once, with perfect precision while carrying on a conversation complete with silly puns! He's as white as me but speaks Spanish and I think Portuguese. He sat me down at his desk, talked insurance with me, peppering me with all the typical questions all while simultaneously taking phone calls, accepting walk in payments and directing his staff through various tasks. In the same time I was on the phone with Geico getting their RV quote he checked with 2 other companies on bettering the existing insurance I have on all my vehicles in addition to banging out a quote on my RV. His bottom line "don't touch a thing with Geico, they are your best deal. But I can save you $320 dollars a year with the same coverage on the RV."
I was in his office for no more than 30 or 40 minutes and I have no doubt he had my back the whole time. I went ahead with the RV policy right then and there... but later I began to think the experience at Trident was too good to be true, so I hopped on the Internet and contacted a few "RV specialty insurance companies" and they came back with pretty much the same quote as Geico, stupid expensive. I felt guilty to second guessing Trident.
Last month I had to make a payment and rather than put it in the mail I choose to stop in and make my payment in person. There he was with his typical smile and not missing a beat in remembering who I was. Great business, great businessman and I couldn't recommend them any higher. KGB read more
