We had Sam as our photographer for our engagement photoshoot. They all did an incredible incredible job. Got every single shot from every angle possible, found creative ways to shoot us, they were so patient, made sure we got every shot in that we wanted and cooperative. They listened to our ideas and incorporated their own. They were all so friendly and professional! we had an amazing and fun time having them. They used the sickest drone and got really worked hard to get incredible shots of us with the venue and our the supercar that we rented. All our guests kept complimenting how great they are. It's not easy working with south Asian/desi families but they managed it so well. I personally loved TJ, she is such a sweetheart and had helped me put some of my things on when I had nobody to help me (that was so so generous and she didn't even have to do that ). She even hyped me up (the bride) and my husband, to make us smile/be comfortable in pictures. They put so much thought into their work, we're super professional, punctual and friendly. They all went above and beyond, even stayed back after our event was running late and our coverage was over last minute. It was worth paying for that extra hour. We are so so happy with Sam and his team. I only wish the best and success for their career. We can't wait for the final edits, going to be on the edge, till we see it I'll update the review with final edits once we get it. We got a highlight video, full video, raw footage , Engagement photoshoot and a layflat album. "Every single picture is edited to magazine quality" are the first words of shock that many of our…read morefamily and friends share with us when describing the wedding photos we received from Jon. I am very particular about the services I select, and choosing our wedding photographer was no different. My journey with Jon began 20 months prior to our wedding at my surprise proposal. I particularly selected Jon over eight other local photographers after comparing their night-time portfolios. Jon's pictures were clear, radiant, and his equipment was up to industry standards, so despite the mist and rain our pictures came out euphoric. After receiving our proposal pictures, my wife (without my suggestion), immediately knew that we had to have him for our wedding. So Jon quickly mocked up some quotes for us, which included (per our request) an engagement shoot, wedding, and photobooth, and Jon was very, VERY, understanding of our needs and accommodating to our every request. We compared his quote to what my sister-in-laws had for their weddings, and despite my wedding being out of the DC area (NJ), Jon's price was the exact same (if not cheaper) than photographers local to the wedding site AND had all the above mentioned perks that the other photographers' quotes did not offer. Jon's style, in my opinion, is one of a kind in that many other wedding photographers, I've noticed, quickly jump to blurring background images to focus on individuals or "blanch" out the colors of a scene. Jon, on the other hand, strikes a perfect balance between this technique and leaving clarity with the scene to bring out the clear beauty of your surroundings. Also, he ensures that the natural colors really come out in your photos, making them radiant and sensational. Jon's professionalism is second to none. I am carefully taking the time to write this review because his work has garnered my respect and admiration. He takes the time to hear your asks and wants, he is receptive to feedback and suggestions, and most importantly he is fresh and was extraordinarily approachable to all our guests. Also worth noting, our wedding was 200 guests, so Jon is able to manage larger weddings and possibly employ the assistance of an additional photographer (as he did for us). I speak with certainty when saying that Jon has gained a friend and customer for life, and I am already looking forward to life events 2 years from now when I will once again be seeking Jon's services to capture yet another life moment. If you'd be interested in learning more about my 20-month experience working with Jon (from proposal to wedding), please ask Jon for my contact information. You can mention the late August 2019 wedding in NJ.

I contacted Jon through his website less than three weeks before I was planning to propose. I received a response within a few hours, had a call with him to work out the details within a few days. Jon had great suggestions for my proposal plan and was able to provide example images of other proposals he had captured at various locations. The examples he provided were very helpful in my planning and gave me assurance as to what the final product would look like. Jon contacted me the week of the proposal to confirm final details and was responsive via text the day of. He was prompt and was at the location at the planned time. Initially was hidden in the background allowing the proposal to still feel intimate and private. He captured great pictures of the proposal, and you would have no idea other people were in the area by looking at the final pictures. Jon exceeded expectations in capturing photos after the proposal. He provided clear instructions and the photos turned out great. The photos were made available to us online within hours which made it easy to share with family and friends. Overall, Jon was responsive, easy to work with, and captured high quality photos of a very special moment.

First, we were late (I still haven't figured out how to account for DC traffic) - Erin was very nice/gracious about it. Then, each of my siblings and I had specific ideas in mind and were fairly demanding about what we wanted (4 adults who all have their own taste/thoughts = a lot of discussion about what to do or not do). Erin stayed up-beat and had great recommendations when people got stuck for poses or couldn't agree on what to do. Finally, she did a great job touching up the photographs for small errors such a bra strap showing or puffy under-eyes in the close-up photographs. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get a family photo-shoot. She has the perfect attitude for handling demanding people and she gets great shots.

I'm personally not a fan of the stereotypical glammed out wedding photos where a lot of hair/makeup/etc is required, and was looking for someone who could take more artistic, unique photos for us. So glad we found Sam, his work caught my eye from the start and as he continued to work with us through engagement photos and then the big day, it became super clear that he is an experienced professional and was the perfect fit for us! Neither my husband (still weird to say haha) nor I are easily relaxed in front of a camera, so it was pretty nerve wracking for us to even think about getting professional photos taken where we didn't look like hot messes. However Sam's super calm demeanor and clear direction made everything feel so easy. The day of, we had about 40 people for photos in a variety of spaces at the St. George Botanical Gardens in the US Virgin Islands, and Sam did an amazing job at crowd control. There was no sense of anxiety or rushing even though it's so hard to direct such a wandering large group of people. He was also totally open to the ridiculous poses we wanted to do for fun. We never felt any pressure to stand in or pose in places that felt difficult or unnatural for us. I also really appreciated his attention to detail during the shot setups, I'm sure something he's developed into second-hand nature through his career thus far. Sunglasses and purses were all appropriately out of view, boutonnieres and were perfectly in place with his direction, and we got some crazy artistic shots of us utilizing the colors and shapes and textures around us so well. Ultimately, it was his unique techniques that resulted in absolutely stunning and mind-blowing photos that are so cool to have for the rest of our lives. While Sam's work speaks for itself, we really had such an enjoyable experience having such a wonderful photographer who wasn't too intrusive but firm enough with herding our crazy friends into place to get the best shots. Without us even really noticing his whereabouts throughout the day, he gave us over 1000 absolutely fantastic photos from our wedding day and he worked solo with minimal equipment - really goes to show how his work is seated in pure skill. Several of our friends are already expressing interest in hiring him for their weddings in the future, and I'm also thinking about what future events we could have him join us for again.
