I moderated a panel last week and a panelist I was being introduced to said, "yes, the woman with the most amazing head shot." Yesterday morning we did our 5th(!) family mini session shoot with Stacey in a garden next to the Capitol. It's wonderful to get these beautiful shots of our children growing up -- and have some shots with me that I love that aren't selfies! Years ago Stacey took an iconic (among our family and friends) photo of my son sulking off to the left of the Washington monument when my husband and I were were standing to the right smiling while pregnant with our daughter. The three sessions were new born photographs, 6 month old photographs, and maternity photographs during pregnancy. The overall experience was awful. Starting with the wedding event, Karen was late. When we recieved the photos, they were not edited at all. The next series of events were even worse, the maternity photographs and new born photographs were LOST. We did not find this out until months after the fact and Karen was only willing to offer more photo sessions free of charge in place of the photographs we already took. Obviously, with the experiences we already had been through, we opted not to have any more photo sessions with Karen.

Words cannot describe how lucky we feel to have found Charlie! He is so amazing to work with, he is…read moreso positive and flexible, we had a blast hanging out with him and were sad to say goodbye. You can tell that this is his passion and he approached our session with a lot of excitement. When saying goodbye, he literally said, "he couldn't wait to start editing our shoot and would get a sneak peak to us in two days". We received our beautiful sneak peak 8 hours later! Half way through the session, I started wondering how we could work with him again. Another aspect that I really liked is that Charlie had a vision of what he wanted to do for our session. When I had confirmed our appointment, we discussed what I liked about our location and what I was looking for, and from that Charlie made a plan. He was open to anything we wanted to try, but we didn't waste any of our session thinking about what the next shot would be- Charlie already had it queued up for us! It should be mentioned, although I'm a bit embarrassed, that we were 10 minutes late because I was getting my hair done at drybar. Charlie was beyond gracious about it and said to not stress because it would affect the pictures. I do not recommend being late because it is rude and inconsiderate, but when I was late, I really appreciated Charlie making me feel better about it. Long story short, Charlie is amazingly talented and incredibly easy to work with. I cannot recommend him enough.
