Two thirds down and I had to stop, defeated.

Popped in here for brunch. The new decor is an improvement but it's still quite cramped for space. The food is dependable, and my eyes got the better of me in ordering the enormous MeatPacker, 5 egg omelette! It's a beast! Well cooked, although one end had all the meat so I struggled when I got to the mostly egg part, definitely couldn't finish it though but they'll happily box up your leftovers :) Coffee was good, if not spectacular, and the berry smoothie was delicious! Always a busy place so getting a table can be down to luck (tip: they have blankets ready for anyone sitting outside), a good dependable eatery.

Been meaning to go here for aaaggeesssss as I heard the breakfasts are amazing! So many a Sunday brunch has been planned, and then cancelled with a sad hangover text from bed on the morning of the big event (must learn to keep wine brain in check!) But I made it this past Sunday, and it was worth the wait! We arrived about half 11, and we were told there would be a bit of a wait but we were offered a hot drink and a seat outside while we waited, which was fine. We ended up deciding to just eat outside as we were both starving, and we were feeling brave! It was a bit waiting-room ish but obviously that was our choice so no fault of the cafe itself. We ordered pancakes to share, with sides of banana and Nutella. They were deeeelish! There's loads of other American-sized breakfast delights to choose from, such as 5-egg omelettes (loaaads of varieties on offer), french toast, and the 'Manhattan' grand-slam full breakfast. They also offer paninis, toasties and cakes if you're not in a breakfast mood (can't see why that would ever be the case here!) I didn't give the full five stars as they did get our hot drink order wrong at the start, we were halfway through some poor customers drinks though before we even noticed! Oops!! I think because it was so busy the service was a wee bit frantic- it always seems to be busy at the weekend so they should really be a bit more organised. I'm probably just being picky though, and will be back to try that mighty grand slam!

Ah, disappointment thy name is Tribeca. Little G (who is 4) is off on a Friday and commanded that a day such as today required pancakes. Being young she was happy to go to the Golden Arches but I persuaded her we should try somewhere a bit nicer. Facebook duly consulted, we trotted off to Tribeca. So first off, we sat by the window and it was pretty chilly there. Secondly, the huge plates are cutesy for sure but poorly considered when they have to be sat on tiny tables. G ordered a pancake and got *one* pancake which we were assured was the last of the day. It had definitely not been made fresh and wasn't warm enough to melt her Nutella. Other than that, she loved it and it was definitely a gorgeous thick pancake. I ordered the French toast with bacon on the side. Three HUGE doorstop-thick slices of French toast with a jar of syrup, and two skimpy slices of bacon. For not far off a tenner, I expected a better bread-bacon ratio but in fact I think the French toast lost a little quality with being so thick. I could barely cut the edges they were so hard although the inner part was lovely and fluffy. The service was really excellent, I was so chuffed that our server made an effort to talk directly to G and as a parent that meant a lot. This place could be really great but for me the food quality just wasn't there.

G wasn't impressed with what he got - he asked for a large mug, was offered a large teapot. Got neither.

OK, first off, I still love Tribeca and will continue to be a customer there, but today I wasn't as enamoured with my experience as I usually am. It was a spur of the moment decision to go for lunch with my husband and sister earlier today, and as expected it was quite quiet and our food, once ordered, arrived quickly. Before I go into the rest of my experience, my initial thought for checking into Yelp was to write that I really must try the amazing looking salads one day, but the all day Manhattan Grand Slam always wins out! Unfortunately, it turns out I had more to say. My biggest peeve was for my husband. G asked if there was any big mugs for tea (he's a total tea jenny) and the waitress said she would bring a large teapot for him. She didn't, and with no explanation at all (and like I said it was quiet and the order came so quickly it wasn't likely she'd forgotten) she gave him a small teapot and even smaller cup. He even remarked his mug at home was bigger than the teapot but she never acknowledged this at all. Worst even then, was the fact the tea spout was badly chipped and had been obviously used since there was tea staining on the coarse porcelain. I mentioned this to a passing waitress and she just smiled and said ok. As a former waitress I would have offered a change of pot straight away and at least apologised, so I was surprised this wasn't done, it seemed so obvious to me. My own order wasn't without issue either. I had asked (twice) if they had orange and lemonade and was given pure OJ. I had considered asking why but ended up just drinking anyway it as I was thirsty! Still I was shocked when I was £3.50 for it! Like I mentioned before, I ordered the Grand Slam breakfast and requested poached eggs and crispy bacon, no toast. The waitress left before I could also ask for my coffee which comes with the breakfast, but decided to leave it until after breakfast then forgot. The bacon was lovely as expected, but the poached eggs were solid so I left most of it, I stab my yolks straight away and like a runny yolk but these were cooked though and plasticy. Finally, my sister and G noted that although the burgers have been celebrated by many recently they were nothing special (cheeseburger and chilli burger respectively) and the fries were the best part of the meal. I do so hope this was an anomaly of an experience as I do so love it usually, but today (even with being in the best mood EVER for other, unrelated reasons of awesomeness), I was quite sad to find the bloom off the rose.

TriBeCa, home of the biggest pancakes I've yet to encounter - and the tastiest too. The go to place for myself and the other half, usually on a weekend afternoon after a night on the town. Their scran is a hangover cure not to be laughed at. Last time we went I opted for the pancakes - of course with bacon as an extra side. I've had the pancakes before and this time they were notably smaller, which is a good thing really as before I'd found them to be so big they were almost a turn off. Fluffy on the inside, well cooked (none of that doughy, raw stuff) and accompanied with a jar of maple syrup (a good size too). The other half had the eggs florentine - and I have to say, I looked on in envy as she ate every last bite. Big portion, cooked to perfection. In the past I've had the omelettes - the Greek one being the best. I'd recommend you go with an appetite as these beasts are not a force to be reckoned with. The milkshakes known as 'blizzards' are great too, practically a meal in itself (but that has yet to stop me having one to accompany my food). The service is great. The staff are always chatty and helpful without being too intrusive. All in all, TriBeCa is great value, big portions and a tasty take on American grub.

I cannot breath Someone help me please TriBeCa have stuffed me so full I'm struggling to think ill ever be hungry again So many places I want to try before I die too ...... Feel a food coma about to hit ..... Goodbye yelp it's been fun! Before I do explode all over the street like a bloated dead whale I'll let you know the down low on the food Seated quickly, friendly service and good music Ordered the strawberry cheese cake milkshake and not only was it a feast for the eyes.... It was filling on its own! Well worth the £4.50 paid Got the brisket with fries and the portion size was huge, yes I finished it all don't judge me! I'd liked to have a little more gravy with it if I'm being picky Flat white was ok, little bitter for my own taste personally. All in all i enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance For £15 ..... I don't think I'd have found somewhere as filling and as tasty

    Strawberry milk! Nice!

A lovely American style Restaurant with a gorgeous bar counter! The omelet here is a must try. However, every omelet contains 5 eggs and is super big, I can only finish 1/3 of it myself.

I couldn't rate this cafe more highly. Tucked in at the end of Dumbarton Road, it's busier every time I go, and a regular port of call of mine in order to impress visiting friends, and they never fail to be wowed - if only by the portion sizes if nothing else! Breakfast is the key meal to be had here, and you get it true american style - not surprising really seeing as it's named after an area of New York. Pancakes, french toast, bacon, 6 egg omlettes, steak, eggs benedict... the list goes on, and each portion is of epic proportions. The price is higher than you're average cafe for breakfast, but if you're short of cash, two could easily share one plate of food. The outside and interior decor is very tasteful and unobtrusive whilst still being quirky, and the staff are friendly but don't go overboard with it. This is greasy spoon done with the utmost class and style. And maan, does it taste good...

I've only ever had breakfast here, but as you can likely tell from the other reviews, it's remarkable and a brilliant modern take on the greasy spoon. Fresh pancakes, maple syrup, bacon, sausage...It's all of the highest quality and far enough ahead of what you could make at home to be worth splashing out. Highly recommended.

I have lived in America and found the eggs Benedict disappointing here. I don't know why they use hard to cut through old bagels (btw, there was no option as to type of bagel, I wanted whole wheat). The second time around I ordered something else and again, got the same old bagel, I couldn't cut through it at all bc it was old and spongy. Glasgow has a supply of English Muffin bread buns, and this would be more fitting I think for this dish-considering they have a hard time with bagel selection and freshness. I think I will chose the French toast next time, that bread looks good.

Had a lovely brunch today so didn't have to queue like make others, staff very attentive and food served very quickly. I had the eggs Benedict which was lovely (but the bagel was a little thick for my personal liking). Loved the hot chocolate complete with cream and marshmallows.

Generally Tribeca is busy and often you have to wait. I used to really like this place but recently I've not really liked the French toast, which used to be my favourite. Service is usually ok. It's a small place so can feel a little claustrophobic. It's one of the few diner type places in Glasgow, however there are more and more opening up.

Glaswegians, your cafes have definitely spoiled me and I can't find anything that compares to this in the U.S. When you walk in, you automatically get this cozy and warm feeling. Try to get a seat in the upstairs dining area, because this is where you will feel the most warmth. I also like sitting in the bar stools by the window because I like looking outside at the rain. If you find yourself waiting for a table, just take that time to browse the pastries, savory foods laid out, and even their selection of cookbooks. Their selection of cake and tarts change daily, but if they have leftovers one day then they serve the leftovers the next day until they are gone, but a lot of the time their pastries sell out on the first day. Bonus to this is that your pastries are definitely fresh! But the pastries still taste good even if they are a day old. Trust me. My go-to pastries were the Belgian Chocolate Cake or the vanilla custard tarts. This cake has hazelnuts inside of it and is served with raspberries, chocolate bits, dusted with sugar on top. If you love chocolate, this cake is the way to go. The vanilla custard tarts reminded me of home (because I would get Egg Tarts at Chinese bakeries and this vanilla custard tart tasted just like a egg tart) The only difference is that the tart at Kember & Jones had flaky layers of crust, which made the tart even better. My go-to drinks are hot chocolate or the Moroccan Fresh Mint Tea. The hot chocolate is served with foam and little chocolate bits on top. The Mint tea is served in a clear glass, but it comes hot (which was weird because I didn't think you would serve hot drinks in a glass) but I understood why because it has a bunch of mint leaves in it that changes the color of the drink to a light tan. It's cute and if you have a sore throat, it will make you feel better. Other things that I have tried and loved were the Warm Waffle (because it was served with syrup and fresh fruit), the French Lemonade (It was pink lemonade with a little bit of sourness), and the macarons (They make different ones each week. Try all of them because they go fast! I have to say during Christmas time their Christmas pudding one tastes pretty good, too.) Last thing to note is that the staff is very nice. I never really feel pushed to leave. They are polite and attentive.

Oh dear, I've clearly not been paying attention! What I do know is that they have a wee makeover recently and it's worked, because the signage caught my eye and I knew I needed to pop in to check it out. I visited for afternoon tea with Donald M but I'd just eaten, so I only fancied a tea rather than anything to eat. It's a lovely space - the colour scheme is amazing and gives it a pretty cool vibe, very sleek, modern and classy. There's a huge display case of fresh salad items where I assume they can whip you up whatever you fancy. There's bagels, panini, sweet treats and soup - your typical lunch offerings. I opted for a cup of tea - berry - and enjoyed it in the snug window seats which are a great idea. They're padded and cosy and great for people watching and chatting away. The staff on were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home and not rushing us when they were getting close to closing time. This is a great spot in Finnieston and would make for a great cafe to pop by for lunch when you don't fancy a sit down restaurant meal in one of the many restaurants along the strip. I'll be back for lunch very soon! Note: they take Swipii card.
