I ordered 4 yards of 50/50 mix at $36/yard plus delivery and found glass shards in the material…read moreafter it was dropped. I documented the glass and brought the issue to their attention. Was told this has never happened before. Their resolution was $45 back to my credit card as a goodwill gesture or I can get another yard of dirt. They would not refund the order or come pick it up. They told me that I could only refuse the delivery before it was dumped, and once dumped they will not pick it back up. That policy does not help when the problem is inside the material and only becomes obvious once you start spreading or sifting it. I expected clean usable soil/compost mix, not a load I had to hand-sift for glass. Hope everyone else's 50/50 from here doesn't have glass. See image for amount of glass found after sifting 1/4 the pile.

However, instead of receiving those, I was sent rocks from a previous order that I had already canceled. When I contacted them again, one representative told me that the correct rocks could be shipped to me, but that the incorrect rocks could not be returned. The following day, I called again and spoke with a different representative who stated that I was never told a replacement would be sent and that they would not have made such a promise. As a result, I have spent my money on the wrong product and am now unable to afford the correct rocks I originally ordered. They have so much business they didn't give a crap if they help me on not.

I swung by with a thimble-sized plant I'd bought from them a few weeks before. I was hoping to see…read moreif they had any advice on keeping the tiny guy happy, as he hadn't come with any care instructions. The shop assistant was friendly and offered to swap out the soil. I was buying a plastic pot and asked if she would do the same for a 4" jade plant I had in the car. When I went to pay, I was shocked that the bill came to $25. The repottings were $8 each! I've never heard of a plant store that wouldn't be willing to add a tablespoon of soil to their own plant, and usually if you're buying a pot, most places will put a plant in it for you. At a minimum, they should let you know the fees upfront instead of a breezy, misleading "I'm happy to switch out the soil if you'd like." I offered to buy a $17 bag of potting soil if they would comp the repotting fees, but they were adamant about the $16 needed to cover "materials and labor". In the end, the manager comped the tablespoon of soil added to the 2" plant (again: this plant was from their own shop). The shop assistant then removed the new soil from the jade plant, leaving the stems loosely dumped in the pot I bought from them. As a plant lover, I can't imagine doing this to a plant just to reclaim a cup of potting soil! Such a weird and unpleasant experience. [Hearing this story, nearby Copperline Plant Company repotted the jade for free, without my asking and even before I had purchased anything from them. Their policy is that anything that takes under five minutes to repot is free. Logan's Garden Shop said they'd be happy to repot a plant into a pot I'd bought from them. This has always been my experience, and I'm happy to see that it's still the norm at most places.] I did get a cute snake plant here on an earlier visit. The shop is laid out nicely for a fun browsing experience, and plants are healthy. Just know their repotting fees are steep!

But my recent experience for the repair of a Stihl Kombi hedge trimmer was vert disappointing. On my call ahead and at drop off, there was no mention of needing the head unit to service. I run several other attachments, so I needed it to be in service while I waited for repair (quoted as 2 weeks). The next day I received a text that a Stihl dealer had no way of attaching it to a unit. So, I made my second trip there in 3 days to deliver the unit. I received a text to pick up the equipment and my request for blade sharpening was not "noted on the ticket" or performed. And to top it off, upon attaching the unit at home, the head is on almost backwards. I reached out to the general manager via text, Mr. Mack McCorkle, and there was no accountability taken, instead telling me that I did not review my service ticket & the head was brought in that way. At the end of the day, the head adjustment is simple, but what's really disappointing is the lack of accountability or customer focused service and offers to rectify the situation. I will certainly look elsewhere for my next service and purchase.
