We moved to Raleigh from Northern VA and were disappointed to have such limited choices in trees…read moreand plants here. Either they are crazy expensive, or poor quality plants. After much online research, I found C&J Nursery in Angier, just south of Raleigh and a 40 minute drive for us. This is a great nursery run by a father and son, who built up their business themselves and truly an inspiring American Dream success story! Their plants are well organized in tidy weed-free rows. All the plants are healthy. They have a great variety of the shrubs and trees and had everything we were looking for. The son took us around and patiently helped me choose the best plants for my project. He knew the answers to all of my questions without even having to look on his phone. They are the real deal and a very nice family. It was a pleasure to buy from them. I forgot to mention that their prices are also great, so bring the biggest vehicle you have.

Good luck moving forward.

I used this company for mail order for strawberry and asparagus roots and flower bulbs. I ordered…read more4 types of items in total and one of them was incorrect (the most expensive) and another item was sent instead. I have been trying for a month to get this resolved, but the customer service is horrible. The items when received were not clearly labeled, and if I were not an experienced gardener I would've not have known that I received the wrong item. I sent emails multiple times which were ignored, and finally in week 2 did end up having several conversations via their website chat, but still, my issues have not been resolved. Whomever I was dealing with on the other end of the website never identified themselves. Twice someone has promised and failed to ship the correct item and send tracking info, but then failed to follow through. I was originally excited to find this nursery because it's somewhat local to my area, but after this experience I will not purchase from them again. I am out nearly $40 for a missing item and had to purchase from another seller. I wish I had read the poor reviews for this business before ordering, I would have saved time and gotten my plants in the ground sooner by ordering from a different business.
