The previous company showed up replaced the part they deemed to be defective and left after payment. The technician from Davis heating and air replaced additional parts the other company didn't even check, and stayed until he got my unit running perfect and at a price that was a little less than my quote due to their honesty about needing less refrigerant than was initially quoted. I purchased a maintenance plan from them to take care of my unit moving forward.They will be my only call for future needs.

Then had to come out three days later for the SAME a/c unit for the SAME problem...however this time, they flushed the clogged drain and it fixed the problem. I am not disputing the service as the tech was very nice on the second call...I am disputing the cost of the service for the SAME issue for the SAME unit...their A/R clerk and owner of the company fought me on the price even when I was willing to split the $110 bill in half so I guess they needed the money more than they were willing to make a long time customer happy.

They were very prompt in getting to their house after the issue was reported and the technician was friendly. Here is the problem: The reported problem was simply an out pilot light. 2 hours and almost $550.00 later, the pilot light had been relit. So the original complaint had been they had no hot water... after relighting the pilot light the technician did not even check to see if the problem had been fixed (it had not) still no hot water. the following day my parents had to have plumbers install a new water heater which did fix the initial hot water issue. How does something as simple as relighting a pilot light and cleaning out the grate behind & around said pilot light add up to almost $600.00? everything i found said electricians typically charge $50-100 per hour. this was a wednesday, it was not after hours or any extenuating circumstance i would think called for "special rates". both of my parents are on a fixed income and now have to come up with this outrageous amount of money because the technician claimed the light went out due to dust from not being cleaned out. again if that was the case then why wouild it be back out today?

I trusted them to fix my A/C. They betrayed that trust by replacing a fan motor (new) that they…read morehad just installed a year earlier relating to my heating system. I was told that this is why my AC was not working properly, and it was a more powerful motor and it would take time to work at peak efficiency. So after two motors, my A/C still did not work. Additionally, their response time is awful. When they finally came by several days later and after many phone calls they told me I either needed an entire new system or to take a chance and start replacing parts they would start at about $1,000 and up. He told me that by running the unit with only hot air coming out, I ruined the condenser. He already knew I was running the unit with only hot air coming out and never advised me to stop. I got suspicious when he asked me to feel the top of the condenser to prove the condenser was bad. He said ,see how hot it is. I felt it and it was cool. HERE IS THE CATCH AND THE DECEPTION!!! I called another company for a second opinion, they resolved the issue in 15 minutes by flipping a switch that sits above the outside unit. This resolved the problem instantaneously. So A1, being the only other company that worked on my unit, either Intentionally flipped the switch to the off position, to trick me into buying a new unit, or giving them the benefit of the doubt, they were grossly negligent. I had already planned to sell my car to get the new unit A1 recommended. Additionally A1 new my wife and I were suffering during the extreme heat. They did not care, a dishonest dollar meant more to them than a customers well being. I did sue them in small claims court and would have won, but the court system failed to notify me of the court date, so I lost by my absence. It is no wonder why this business is not registered with the BBB. What cheats.
