The wood is seriously cracked and has huge gouges in it. Joints are very poor, so he slapped on gobs of wood putty to cover them. Part of the job was put together with screws and the rest with nails when he ran out of screws. Some bolts were countersunk and others not. WTH? Balusters attached with screws without predrilling holes so many are cracked and cockeyed. Two knowledgeable people looked the work and just stared in disbelief. Wnen we called him to come and try to fix it, he was angry, just came over and slapped on more wood putty. Said he wouldn't do any more work for us. Really?
