This was an awesomely positive experience, which is unfortunately rare these days…read more Sunset provided a quote by email, after I provided words and pictures to describe what we were looking for. Their guys showed up on time. They were courteous. They were respectful of us, and respectful of our home. They asked for our input when they got to a part that required some judgement. They performed mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. All done nearly to perfection. And they passed the acid test; after they left, I noticed two small things which I thought could have done better. They returned immediately and made these right. And they sent an invoice almost a week later (giving us an opportunity to discover any other issues, which we did NOT), and the invoice was for the exact amount of the estimate. They accepted my credit card payment over the phone. Our job was a small one, but they have definitely encouraged us to contact them again for our next job - small or large. Exceptionally excellent experience.

I cannot stress the relief my husband and I felt when Mark said Sunset Tile and Bath have a roofer. The gentleman's name, also Mark (I'll refer to as roofer Mark) was as competent, meticulous and professional as every other member we have encountered through Sunset Tile and Bath. Roofer Mark assessed, photographed and answered questions regarding our roof needs. Roofer Mark completed everything a week before our heavy rains occurred. His cleanup was remarkable---I found 2 nails---that's it! My husband and I are grateful to have a company that takes pride in their professions. Many thanks to Roofer Mark and his crew---and to Sunset Tile and Bath. Maureen M

He has a wealth of knowledge on the details from the cabinets, to the backsplash to the flooring and everything in between. He is very responsive when I call or write him. He takes the time to explain the processes and gives advice as needed. Also, Noemi Herrada-Ortega, the Lead Designer has outstanding skills! She send me a rendering of the kitchen layout the first time, and updated it each time I sent a change of the products I wanted to use. I knew what I wanted the kitchen to look like; however, her rendering was right on point for me to see it! Her rendering definitely gave me a clearer picture of what the kitchen would look when it is finished by the work she provided. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Thank you Mike and Noemi.

UPDATE: ZERO STARS. Right when I had a tenet move in Feb they said the shower leaked. They sent me…read morea video but there's nothing I could do until they moved out so here we are. The shower pan was installed with no liner....that's literally bathroom construction 101. Which means I'm going to have to rip out both shower pans and have them redone costing me thousands of dollars and delaying me renting out the property. Stay the hell away from Russ. This guy is a straight-up con artist who steals and leaves a trail of destruction and unpaid bills. The work he did/subbed out on my shower was a complete joke. It's leaking through the floor pan, rotting the baseboards, drywall, and flooring. I had to chase Russ down just to get the subcontractor's contact info--(don't forget, I paid half of the shower cost direct to the subcontractor when it was already in the budget and was Russ's responsibility but I needed the job done). Russ blew all the money I gave him and it was NOT on my job because he barely bought anything. When I finally called the subcontractor, he told me Russ NEVER paid him the other half--what a shock. The subcontractor promised to get back to me in a week, then promptly disconnected his phone. And I'm sure you can guess Russ quit answering my calls and texts. So not only did Russ steal money from me, but he also ripped off his own subcontractor and left me with a total mess. Russ is the definition of a crook. He'll leave you with unfinished work, unpaid contractors, and a pile of garbage that costs you even more to fix. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. Worst experience ever.

The scope covered walls, ceilings, insulation, electrical, plumbing, AC, flooring installation, carpet, and paint, essentially half of our house. We got five bids for the job, and R&M came in lower than the other four. They did an excellent job on all of it. Ramiro was great to work with. On a job this large, things change and new issues come up along the way, and he was flexible with us every single time. There was also an insurance claim involved, which meant a lot of extra detail and documentation on top of the actual construction work. He gladly provided everything we needed, every time we asked, and never treated it as an inconvenience. That made a genuinely stressful process much easier to manage. Rafa, our project manager, was our day-to-day on site and was outstanding. He was attentive, there consistently, and always responsive when we had questions or added something to the punch list. He never made us feel like we were bothering him and stayed on top of the details all the way through closeout. We were displaced to an Airbnb during the rebuild, which means we trusted this crew in our home while we weren't there. Everyone was friendly, courteous, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. More than one crew member told us they just wanted to make sure it was done the right way, and you could see that in the finished work. They went above and beyond on everything we needed.
