I've been here a few times to shop & paint and it's one of my new favorites! The pottery pieces to paint are very budget friendly ($6-45+) and includes paint, stencils & the ceramic coating. It takes about a week for your stuff to be ready. The employees are always friendly and helpful, explaining the process and helping you find colors/stencils. Plenty of seating, an area of art/craft supplies for sale, games and novelty/gift items. Can't wait to be back! read more

I was here on 11-06-2020 and several customers had no masks and a staff member on register was also unmasked until I looked at her and she then pulled the thinnest most sheer material from her shirt to cover the face barely draped over her nose. She also had a hacking cough she coughed when ringing customers up. With a retail store like this where it has nothing but items to touch, you would think they would be more careful. I wont be surprised if patrons get sick from their lack of consideration and failure to follow the restrictions. I'm writing about this now because I was reminded after reading about a careless employee at another establishment getting thousands sick due to their carelessness. read more

I rarely write reviews but after my experience with Tri Dee Arts yesterday I had to write something. My mom and I took my 4 and 6 year old nieces and my 18 month old son to the store to do the lantern making workshop. I think they had more people show up than expected and there was a wait to do the craft so we spent some time browsing the store (which has great stuff!). I do a lot of different crafts so I was excited to see some fun new toys to play with :). Unfortunately, my son was not as fond of waiting and really wanted to just run around and climb the stairs like toddlers do. Somehow he managed to trip while running at full speed and hit his mouth on the edge of one of their wooden shelves. Blood and screaming ensued. The staff didn't hesitate. They came over to check on us and the owner went across the street and got my little guy some ice for his busted lip. The owner's daughter, who was probably 12ish, was so sweet to my son and brought him some toys and books to play with while we did our craft. They made him feel so much better and we had a blast making lanterns! I highly recommend this place to anyone- with kids or without. They had 3 different craft areas going while we were there and I was so impressed with how they handled the chaos. We were only in Mt. Vernon for the day but we will DEFINITELY be back for more fun (and less blood) soon! read more

As a kid I would beg my parents to take me here. It's a crafty kid's heaven. Two (or is it three?) floors of craft and art supplies that just can't be beat anywhere else in the area. All sorts of fun little supplies you might not need often, but when you need them, this is definitely the best place to get them. In the fall they boast a great selection of Halloween costumes and accessories; make up, wigs, hats, ect. You name it, they've got it. I have still popped in on occasion in my adult life and found it to be equally as thrilling as I did as a tyke. Might be time for another stop by to see what new treasures I can find! read more

Very shocked to see only 1 review for this awesomeness: not just for kids, but adults too. it's a combination of Michaels plus Toys R Us plus that science gizmo store lol. While I was here on the left playing with these gadgets, the large craft section would've been perfect for the kids. Plus a decent amount of candy section, and free popcorn in the back! Very concerned about the business practices of this store. We owed a balance on our account. Rather than sending us a courteous letter, their employee engaged in a series of inappropriate actions that resulted in a civil anti-harassment order. There was also a claim of not receiving a payment on the account, thus not crediting our balance. read more

My sister and I stopped by here on the way back from an appt. in Bellingham. What FUN! It was a wonderful combination of art supply and treasure trove of cool creative toys, crafts, and costumes. Things like kaliedoscopes, kites, wind up tin toys, lava lamps and science discovery kits, A really impressively varied selection and price range of art supplies, the best prices I've ever seen on all sizes and shapes of framed canvases... The old ( and all original) building itself was great fun, with a second story and bacony from which you can scan the first floor (and friendsor family you came with) while checking up on gorgeous art papers and marvelous lamps, portfolios, easels, and the aforementioned canvases. It was all just wonderful. Supplies for clay work and sculpting, childrens materials, all kinds of anything you could possibly want for any kind of creative endeavor. Prices ranged between attractively competitive to hands down the best I've found between the two Vancouvers. And you don't have to pay for parking. Go and enjoy just being there while admiring yourself for being a smart consumer.
