Our six year old refrigerator was not cooling properly. Checking online for appliance repair businesses, I saw that Tri-City had quite a few excellent reviews, which seemed rare in this kind of business. I called them and made an appointment. Max and Kyle arrived on the appointed day at the appointed time. They quickly determined the problem and gave me complete and understandable explanation of what was wrong and what was needed to fix it. They had to order a few parts an an appointment was made to install the parts. Again, they arrived on time and completed the repair. They saved EASTER dinner! FANTASTIC service, if I could give them 6 stars I would. I called in a slight panic when my Samsung refrigerator wasn't cooling and I'd just bought $200 worth of groceries with another $300 being delivered in the next two days. I'd called a couple of other companies, but no one worked on Samsungs (I'll never buy another Samsung appliance or TV), but luckily I found Tri City and they were able to come out the next day. They're a father(Max)/son(Kyler) team and they are kind, professional, considerate and knowledgeable with fair prices. I have all positive things to say about the refrigerator repair service I received from Tri City Service Center, Max and his son, Kyler. They were: - responsive to my initial phone call / voice mail message I left for them), - excellent communicators, - technically competent, - timely arrival at designated appointment, - honest, - reasonably priced, and - pleasant. They were available and offered to come on-site the very next day after I called them. They accommodated my request for the very first appointment slot so that I could minimize missing work. On the first visit and soon in that visit they identified the failed part that needed replacing and developed a cost estimate on-site. They ordered the part on THURS and, on that day, while at my home, they scheduled the install for the following TUES, 3 business days later. They were careful in performing the repair. They did a thorough test / validation of the refrigerator functioning after new part was installed. The offer 90 day warranty on parts and labor. These guys are great! Samsung fridge wasn't staying cool, we called up Max and his son Kyler who were at our home in a hour. They were polite, professional, clean, and beyond helpful. Max quickly discovered the problem and was honest to say it would cost more to repair the fridge than to buy a new one. He suggested some reliable brands and told us of some sales in the area so we could purchase a new fridge same-day. He gave us a military discount for an already reasonable diagnostic visit cost and empathized with our troubles. I'm always hesitant to bring someone into my home and I'm always a little worried about 'getting ripped off' when talking to someone about appliances and repair. The part had to be ordered and had wait for the part to arrived, and I am so happy it came yesterday afternoon, and Max and Kyler was able to return today. Here is why: 1) Answered phone promptly and with a real person that I understood. 2) Took time to talk to me about my dishwasher and render expert opinion on which way to go. 3) They charged the same as Lowe's for installation and hauled off the old dishwasher. 4) Arrived on time. 5) Clean, neat and respectful....no grunginess, no foul language, no loud music, no texting on the job, no extraneous conversation about after hours escapades.. ..they came in and went straight to work. 6) Completed work expertly. 7) Cleaned up after themselves. 8) Checked my TV for nothing...couldn't even tip them ...I tried really hard. 9) Rendered opinion on my microwave (1984 model) for free. 10) Pleasant and exact opposite of what I receive from the home warranty for which I paid approximately $600.00/year. This company provides professionalism and prompt service seldom seen anymore. In lieu of the yuck going around right now my dryer gave out under the pressure of my constant washing of bedding and towels. I called Monday and Max and Kyle came out first thing Tuesday morning. They had the problem diagnosed within 20 minutes, the part on hand, and my dryer fixed and running before 9am. All with my three year old asking questions and trying to "help." They don't normally come out where I live but Max said he would come the next day which is today, a Saturday. He and Kyler fixed my washer in no time. They even gave me a military discount since I am 100% disabled from the service and my wife's heart is working at 12% so it was out of the question of us going to a laundry mat. I expected to pay a large amount to have something repaired, but the price was very very reasonable. I see that the company does all sorts of appliances. I can tell you for a fact, if any of my appliances go down, Max and Kyler will be the first I call. I sure wish I had known them years ago. He correctly diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator within minutes.He gave me a discount for being military and installed an icemaker at cost when they did the repair on my refrigerator. As always 2 thumbs up and five star service! I called as soon as I noticed my washer acting funny. They were here today upon checking out my LG front load washer the news wasn't what I had hoped. They did give me good news. Although it would be a costly repair that would only lead to many more told me I have some time left. Just to take it easy on the direct drive by using it only for small to medium loads to buy myself 6 to possibly 9 months. Also gave me advice on what brands to stir away from. He and his associate were professional and considerate. They came to my house, assessed the situation and ordered the unit needed for the repair. When a part did not work right, they called the factory to send a new piece and came back to install it and came back again to ensure it was working right and take care of minor service on the reefer. I am very pleased with Max and Kyle's installation of a replacement microwave in the cabinets above my cooktop. They got to it right away and the charge was very reasonable. They were polite, friendly, and did a good job. They were clean and left no debris or mess in the kitchen. Max and his son Kyle make a good team and worked together efficiently and quickly finished their task and cleared away everything afterwards. They do accept credit cards and had a card reader to take care of payment on the spot but also gave me a paper copy of their service call. The charge was significantly lower than the company Home Depot's referral service recommended. They are at the top of my list for any appliance services I may need in the future. P.S. - I found Cathie H's review very surprising to be negative after he diagnosed her problem and explained that fixing it would be more expensive than replacing it.
