He's as picky as I am about getting things right, which is a good thing! We had all doors replaced, veneer done, countertops and backsplash replaced. John coordinated all the subcontractors which was really helpful. Though the project ran a little over time, it was for a good reason - some of the materials arrived with slight imperfections and he re-ordered them (at no cost to us). The kitchen turned out absolutely spectacular and we are so happy with it - the pictures speak for themselves.

His team did an entire kitchen reface. He also made some incredible recommendations on how we could update an existing (and highly customized) lighting fixture. We just moved into our new home and we are very happy with how the remodeled kitchen came out. The…read morecabinets and engineered stone counters were from FGY and were very reasonably priced for the quality. Our order was fairly large as we added an island and a whole new wall of cabinets on the other side of the room with pantries and upper/lower cabinets with glass doors and wine racks. My contractor, who works for a high end construction company, thought the box construction of the cabinets was very good considering these are not custom made cabinetry. Let's be honest, I have done my share of kitchen remodels for 20+ years in rental properties, so cheap Chinese cabinetry I am quite familiar with. So, I was leery as to how the look would come out since I wanted to use materials that are appropriate for my home that is in the 1.5M to 2M market. Would my kitchen scream "Chinese cabinets used here!"? I have to say, a resounding NO!!! We went with the white raised panel cabinets for the nice detail (tired with the shaker look) and paired it with black counters and the kitchen is quite stunning with just the led lights in the glass door cabinets and under cabinets on at night. Robert assisted us from start to finish and he was very patient and helpful. We made many alterations over the course of a few months and he was very understanding. Thanks Robert!!!! I would certainly recommend that you check out FGY for your cabinets and counters before any of the other frankly Chinese supply shops around the Bay (Sincere is way too expensive). I won't knock FGY for it but I would say their cabinet handles/knob selection is limited in my opinion. Now, this seemed to be a common problem with a lot of the shops since they didn't have much in stock either. I ended up finding some really nice knobs/cup pulls from Amazon.

If you're looking for someone who is honest, skilled, dependable, and takes pride in their work, I highly recommend Kay and his company. It's rare to find someone who delivers exactly what they promise--and then exceeds it. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Kay earned every one of them. We are incredibly happy with the work Kay did for us and would recommend him without reservation…read more Kay did several projects for us at once - converting some extra space into a closet, building an entire wall of bookshelves in our dining room, and installing floating shelves in our office. He was great to work with throughout the whole process; some highlights: * Attention to Detail - Kay made sure we were happy with every detail of the build before moving on from design. He went back and forth with us and generated new renders for even minor changes to make sure we were 100% happy. * Moved Fast - Kay was always extremely responsive over email and when he needed to come by in person he would often come by the same day (and was very generous in the windows of availability he gave us). * Quality Sub-Contractors - All the sub-contractors Kay involved, from installation to painting, were as great to work with as he was. * Accommodated Our Asks - We had a few non-standard asks in the design but Kay went above and beyond to accommodate them. The best recommendation is probably whether we would hire Kay again, and we absolutely will - we already have a growing list of Kay projects for the future.

We had a wonderful experience finishing our closets with GC! He came highly recommended from a…read morefriend and did not disappoint! We had our primary bedroom closet, laundry area, entry closet, and hallway closet designed and installed by Guillermo and his team. During the design process he listened to our needs and developed a vision that was better than we could have imagined. We had several rounds of edits during which he was committed to ensuring the design was perfect for us, including accounting for attic access and extra shelving. Of note, we got quotes and designs from several of the other big closet companies during the process. Three things made GC standout: 1. Experience. There were several recommendations made from Guillermo that were "common sense" for him that made a big difference (ie. Walking space) but that other closet designers don't even think about due to lack of knowledge of the construction or installation steps. Guillermo does it all. 2. NO MELAMINE. If you are looking to install a closet and don't know what this is, please educate yourself. It is essentially particle board that all other closet companies use to lower their costs and increase profit. It is not good material. Guillermo uses real plywood and the quality of the material is on a completely different level. With the other closet companies you can request that, at an ~80% price increase. 3. Professional product. The final product was outstanding and looks very precisely crafted to the space--no cookie-cutter closets here! The installation time frame was pretty quick, within a matter of weeks from placing the order. Finally, as a consumer, go with small business owners like GC instead of the big corporations! You will not be disappointed.
