My online search, focused on something less bad for the environment, turned up a couple manual transmissions, which surprised me. My old car was a 5 speed so that's what I prefer, but I thought they were dying out. One of them was at the Friendly Bargain Lot, and Car Guru rated it a great deal. Juwan was patient and helpful with my difficulties getting to an initial test drive, luckily one of my kids came through and let me borrow his car. I test drove the car at the top of my list, and it was smooth like a new car, and seemed to accelerate super easy. I did test drive another just for comparison, but I think I really knew I had found my car when I had the first one on the highway. Having just retired a couple weeks ago, this was not ideal timing, but I told Juwan I would check about borrowing from life insurance, which was how I had financed the last one. He told me they would actually give me something for my old car, too, even though it wasn't running, Luckily my policy had more than enough value to borrow what I needed. The CarFax report already told me the current price was a bargain, so I didn't plan to try to get it down unless the inspection turned up something. Juwan stayed in touch with me over the weekend to make sure we could get this done. The inspection was perfect, so I was buying the car! We had to go to the main dealership for that part. The finance guys did try to add on some extras, and fees were more than I remembered, so I had to politely refuse most of them, They were not pushy about it, though, and soon I was on my way home with a shiny new to me car,

Fix the products they sell properly and under warranty without the customers being forced to pay…read more It's ridiculous. This is the 3rd time my vehicle has been in their shop for a repair regarding faulty parts from Fords Dearborn plant. My truck has 2600 miles on it and now the hubs and diff are bad.

I brought my 2014 Ford Escape to New Brighton Ford's service department due to a failed…read moretransmission. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership at my own expense and was shocked to find it sat there for nearly three weeks before any action was taken or communication received from the warranty company. During this time, I was not provided a loaner vehicle, even though my warranty clearly covered the transmission/ powertrain. Once the dealership finally received warranty approval to repair the transmission, I was then issued a loaner car. About a week later, I was informed my vehicle was ready. However, I was told that certain parts used in the transmission repair were not covered under warranty--despite the transmission itself being the covered component. As a result, I was forced to pay over $700 out of pocket, on top of my $100 deductible, for these "uncovered" parts. This was incredibly frustrating and feels unjustified given the warranty terms. Unfortunately, the situation worsened. I picked up my car on a Friday evening. By Saturday afternoon, I was stranded on the side of the road. The vehicle was overheating and leaking coolant everywhere. I contacted the dealership immediately. Orlando from New Brighton Ford told me he would speak with a sales manager and call me back. Shortly thereafter, he confirmed that they would send a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle--again, at my expense, despite it being their tow and their repair work. After the vehicle sat at the dealership for another three days, I received a call stating that the coolant leak was due to a damaged radiator, and that it would not be covered under the warranty. They quoted me over $2,000 to fix this issue. I refused. At this point, I strongly believe the radiator damage was caused during the original transmission repair, yet the dealership has taken no responsibility. Now, I am left with an undrivable vehicle that I am still making payments on. The dealership has shown no accountability, left me stranded multiple times, charged me excessive and questionable fees, and created more problems than they resolved. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I caution anyone considering service at New Brighton Ford: Do not trust this service department. They are disorganized, dishonest, and unwilling to stand behind their work. They mishandled my car, my warranty, and my time--leaving me with an even worse situation than when I arrived.

I would never recommend anyone to get a car from these people…read more They sold me a lemon. There were screws in 2 of the 4 tires. The heated seats don't work and the actual heat only blows on low. On top of that, there's an issue with the back left passenger door, so when the door is clearly closed, the car recognizes it as open. On top of all that, the owner of the shop is a total jerk. He lowballed me on my trade in and we didn't get along whatsoever. Once the sale was done, and I was clearly unhappy, he insisted on taking a photo of me for them to put on their social media. I refused and they kept pushing. So uncomfortable. My temporary registration expired and they refused to issue me new registration. Insisted they would just pay my ticket IF I got one... Avoid this place at all costs. My car has been in the shop every other week since I bought it and I wish I would've never gone here. Sam, the owners associate is a super nice guy, but the owner is TERRIBLE.

No other used car dealer in the Minneapolis area has ever taken the time to do that when I've visited their lots. The vehicle I test drove was at a really great price as well. I would definitely buy a car from them if they had one in stock that I was interested in.
