I can't recommend Tri Canine Campus enough! After working with two other dog training companies and spending over 12 weeks (& hundreds of dollars) trying to help my Frenchton, Yoda's reactivity toward other dogs, I was at my wit's end. Within five minutes of our very first lesson, Yoda pretty much stopped barking at other dogs -- something I never thought would happen. Tri Canine's behavior modification program truly works, and they take the time to understand the "why" behind each behavior. The trainers (Mike, Jule & Ashley) are so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping both the dogs and their owners succeed. Now Yoda can even play with other dogs under supervision, which still amazes me (pictures for proof). If you're looking for reactive dog training, behavior modification, or obedience training, Tri Canine Campus is hands down the best place to go. I drive 35-40 mins each way just to take him there because it is 1000% worth every minute in the car! They've completely transformed our lives! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I brought my mini schnauzer Boss here when he was a puppy, and they put all of their dogs* (not their puppies - as they called out in my google review) in prong collars. He did not need a prong collar, and as soon as we started using it he developed dog reactivity. At the suggestion of Tri-Canine, I continued to use the prong collar, but all that did is continue to create negative associations (PAIN) any time he saw another dog. I have spent YEARS trying to regain my dog's trust and help him overcome his reactivity. I started working with a positive reinforcement trainer, and they've helped a lot. I only have one regret in my life, and that's bringing my new puppy to this place. If you are not educated, do not let these people try to convince you that prong collars are necessary. " Yes, in their puppy class they don't use prong collars, but they do so in their obedience one and obedience two. As this was my first dog on my own, I trusted Tri Canine with the wellbeing of my dog, and they recommended continuing use of the prong collar when he started to become reactive. He was not reactive before attending this class and using the prong collar. It was 2021, during the pandemic, and I was not taking my dog many places outside of the classroom. And yes, I attended the class in 2021, and I'm still here in mid 2025 dealing with the repercussions of taking my dog to Tri-Canine. You can also see in their records that I withdrew my dog/stopped attending halfway through obedience two because I had gotten some second opinions from positive reinforcement trainers. It's pretty rich to try and blame Mini Schnauzers as a breed, when there are so many dogs that are prone to developing reactivity, and you all are "professionals" who are supposed to help people who are struggling with this issue. One thing that helps reactivity develop faster, is pain associated with triggers of fear. Had I known this, I could've avoided having a reactive dog. Strongly recommend! To say staff at Tri Canine Campus are wonderful, loving, passionate and patient isn't what sets them apart. Most people who work with animals are that way. They don't follow a step-by-step guide written by corporate on how to train a dog. They understand each individual dog AND owner need to learn in a way that works for them, on their path, and at their speed. A technique that works for one dog doesn't mean it's going to work on all dogs - even if they are in the same household. Same applies to the owners. TCC has an arsenal of techniques to quickly apply to make training for both dog and owner click. Since they don't follow a step-by-step guide, you only pass and move on when you successfully pass the goals of the course, not because the guide says in 6 weeks you pass regardless of goal success score. The staff know each other's strengths and weaknesses and work in a very collaborative environment. They are all familiar with my dog and me. Not only does this help them continuously grow to stay the best of the best, I am not hesitant to ask any of them for help and they are not hesitant to help me. But wait, there's more! They also offer reactivity classes. We are exposed to different behaviors, sounds, equipment, and actions that happen in the real world so when we are outside the comfort of our home and the Campus, it's not startling. Such as the child running by dragging a toy, it's not for us to chase. Or the people using a walker or crutches are not aliens to protect the family from. Or the music thumping from the car passing by is nothing to be scared of. I'm not done yet!! Pack walks. Brilliant!! It's like the reactivity class but actually in the real world. Locations are mixed up between parks and businesses so you get a variety of the unexpected distractions and interruptions. I honestly don't know how to praise Tri Canine Campus enough. read more

We "had" a fear aggressive dog, that was a rescue. She was abused and didn't like men or other dogs after being attacked by a German Sheppard. She would bark and act aggressive toward other dogs and men. It was difficult for us to have people over and the longer we kept her away from people and dogs the worst she became. I saw an advertisement that Tri-canine works with aggressive dogs, we made an appointment with Mike and signed up for the Shine in nine private training class. We worked with Matt and he was amazing, very kind, caring and patient with us and Lacey. After 7 weeks, Lacey was able to join the weekly pack walk. I left the walk in tears of joy! I never thought I'd be able to walk her around other dogs. It was a game changer, we camp and she no longer lunges at people or dogs walking by. We were trained along with Lacey. I am more relaxed when we are around other dogs. it does take work and willingness to listen and follow through but it's the best money and time I have spent. I have used a few different trainers over the years, but this place is awesome. My great dane was born during covid, and was very shy and reactive to people and noise. The training included reactivity to desensitized her to all kinds of noises, people, dogs and objects. The pack walks are great to for working with the dogs outside of facility and home (and offer real life distractions). She is now moved up to confidence building and has made so much progress - I'm so impressed with 8 weeks of class. Everyone should get their dog trained at Tri Canine Campus. My wife and I took our reactive dog to be trained here and we've been going to their reactivity class ever since August of 2020. Mike and Matt are great dog trainers and I will recommend them to anyone.
