A few very good restaurants, mostly premium brands along with a movie theater. Great place when the weather is nice - very easy to get to and conveniently located. A bit on the pricey side though. A nice feature is the splash spray playground in the center w/Starbucks cafe - great spot to hangout with the young ones. PROS - beautiful layout, name brand stores, easy access, ample parking, free parking is near the stores and on the outside. Nice center w/starbucks and spray playground during summer heat ( kids will enjoy ). CONS - pricey, no cover from the elements ( no roofing, directly walk into the stores ), really can only enjoy half the year : not worth going when the weather is not nice ( except for the movie theater ). TIPS - when hot, try parking under the trees or towards the rear ( less crowd ), they have a n

The Shoppes At Upper Hanover is a shopping center located on Gravel Road in East Greenville. This…read moreshopping center holds the Walmart of East Greenville, one of my favorite Walmarts around and one of my Mom's favorites too (it's about a half hour away from where I live in Souderton, we often like to make a special trip up here every once in a while). In addition to Walmart there are other stores such as Autozone, Wells Fargo Bank, Domino's, Supercuts and Gamestop to name more of the big name stores. What makes this shopping center better is the chocolate factory that sits next door which is awesome on a breezy day! The Shoppes At Upper Hanover is located in a great area which is wide open, full of space and very scenic. It's definitely worth a visit!

I wouldn't consider it a dead mall, even though it's heading there. There is no traditional food court (which I'm sure at one point there was), with the expectation of some food services in the hallway. With a decent number of stores open, the two that caught my attention were Boscov's and Spin Me Round. I wish there were some stores like these back home. All of the fun of mall exploring and discovering. Palmer Park looks kept up and clean in the hallway, and I see the mall surviving for the next couple of years or so.

This has the Super Walmart, the Arby's, the Applebees, the Earl Bowl Lanes, and even the Regal Richland Crossing cinema in the back lot past Walmart. While I haven't been to too many of the stores other than the ones listed, it has the closest Arbys around and a decent movie theater so that makes it a win in my book. It has its own light to leave onto 309 (and avoid Quakertown Plaza) and the back entrance/exit past the movie theater onto California Road is quiet and less crowded too. My only advice is watch out for traffic as it can get annoying at times, but other than that it is a solid shopping center.

Sine's sadly wasn't my hometown five and dime as the owner of my hometown store passed away and the store folded shortly afterwards. Finding anything similar nearby was hard to find and bigger iniatives like dollar trees didn't feel the same. As much as visiting Sine's excited me, it also feels so strange and impractical now traveling to a five and dime now. As it's on the way to my New Hope adventures, best I can do is make a day trip out of it. It's a nice stop on the way. But it's still a five and dime. Please don't make a special trip, though I get it... that trip can feel like a novelty. Here, you can still find GI Joe's and Barbie to model airplanes and halycon Christmas lights and you don't have to feel pressured by cashless transactions. You can introduce your child to a more halcyon time in your childhood by finding toys then even household items and greeting cards so it can still be a one stop. And just like at Woolworth's, an active lunch counter is still here... at least until two or three. With how expensive it is to run a business, especially in Upper Bucks County, I am still impressed how these beautiful small ones still stay in the game without adjusting price increases turning away their target consumer. If any of this makes your eyes twinkle and your heart smile, go while you can. Patronize small along main street where Sine's still literally sits on main street in Quakertown.

Some of the empty display tables had me wishing there was a lot more inventory in the main section of Sine's...an adjoining room was more of a museum with a wonderful,  interesting display of local history ~ pennants, newspaper articles, photographs, artifacts.  It was disappointing to see the Christmas section of the shop dark and from appearances, closed on the day we visited.  As long as you keep in mind that this is more of a 'look at and appreciate' sort of visit and less of a shopping experience, you will not be disappointed.
